《His Little Psycho》27- Marcus' Mom
Advertisement
When I wrote that suicide note yesterday, I set it on my dresser. I need it somewhere more hidden though. So I put it behind a picture of my mom I have on my wall.
I begin to get ready for school. I put on a long sleeve red shirt, and some black jeans. I tuck in the shirt loosely, and put on a white belt. I take out my hair and brush it out. Then, I flat iron it to make it look less frizzy. I then put on some mascara, and chapstick.
I go onto my laptop and play loud music.
(Check out my Spotify playlist called "Brianna's Bops HLP" to see what type of music she likes)
I get a call from Marcus.
"Hello?" I say.
"Are you at a party at 8 in the morning?" He asks.
"No I'm just playing music."
"Oh okay."
"What's up?" I ask.
"I was just calling to make sure you eat breakfast. Have you eaten yet?" He asks.
"No." I respond.
"Well I'm going to pick you up and take you to school and I'll have some food with me. Do you like fast food?" He asks.
"Yeah." I respond.
"Okay. See ya."
"Bye." I respond.
I put on my black Nike's. I head downstairs. I start to clean up until I hear a horn. I grab my backpack off the couch and head outside.
I get in his car.
"Good morning, Rose." He says.
"Hi." I respond awkwardly.
He hands me a biscuit, a hash brown, and a black coffee.
"Thank you." I say.
"No problem."
I eat, and we arrive to the school.
"You ready?" He asks.
"I'm never ready to go to school." I say in a sigh.
We get out and enter the school. Obviously. We enter and go to my locker.
People come up to him and say what's up but they know better than to acknowledge me.
We go into class and sit.
The day goes by extremely normal.
During our lunch period, we left school to go get lunch around the corner from the campus. I got a fruit salad and he got a grilled cheese.
He told me he would bring Chinese food to my house tonight, and I told him that I have to clean. He decided he would stay and help me clean up my house, so he did.

"Where is your vacuum?" He says, searching the living room closet repeatedly.
"It's beside the kitchen table." I say, pointing.
"How did you not see that?" I ask him.
"It wasn't there before, I swear!"
I roll my eyes.
We clean up my living room before going upstairs. He helps me clean the bathroom. He does most of the work because I cannot stand bleach. It turns my face red, makes my nose run, and makes it hard to breathe.
He offers to help me clean my room, but I refuse because I've recently been actually cleaning my room.
Then we go downstairs and order Chinese food. Once it comes, we eat it while watching an episode of Catfish.
"How can they be in love with someone they haven't even met?" He asks.
"I don't know. I guess they feel a connection." I say.
"You can't connect to wifi if you're a whole continent away from it." Marcus says.
I shake my head.
We continue to eat and watch TV. I tell him about me moving out on the 17th, without mentioning my death day. He scolds me because I haven't started packing yet. He offers to spend the night but I convince him to leave, so he leaves.
Then, I take his advice and collect my stuff. Pictures that are important to me (including one of Marcus that we took one day) go in a box. Then, I put my clothes into a suitcase. My shoes go into a box. I put my coats into a box, and I keep my furniture out. It was easy for me to pack my stuff since I only have a room full of stuff, and a lot of it was furniture and stuff that will go in storage.
Believe it or not, my dad was helping me pay for this stuff.
He had been leaving bigger amounts of money so I could save for moving.
Once I've packed everything I won't need for the next few days, I go to bed.
April 15th, Tuesday
My dad comes in around the time I wake up for school. He goes directly to bed. I get dressed and ready for school.
Once again, Marcus picks me up. But this time he picked me up earlier so I could go to his house to eat the breakfast his mom made.
We enter the house.
"Hola, gorgeous! Welcome back!" His mom says, embracing me in a hug.

Oh no. I forgot to include her in my suicide note. I make a mental note to add to it later.
"Hi" I say, hugging her back.
"Do you like eggs, bacon, and oatmeal?" She asks.
"Yes." I respond, giving a smile.
"Okay then, sit sit. You must be starving. A whole eight hours without eating."
I laugh.
She sets my plate in front of me. I thank her, and begin eating.
"So hows life?" She asks.
"It's okay.." I say.
"Any big plans for your future?" She asks.
I'd never thought far ahead. Ever since I planned my death, I never thought of what to say for my future.
"Well, uh, I'm moving on the 17th." I say.
"Oh, your whole family is moving?" She asks.
"No, just me. I'm moving out." I say.
"Oh, I see. You must be a very independent girl."
"Yeah.." I mumble.
"Marcus you must help her move and carry her stuff."
"I know that, mom." He says smiling.
"He doesn't have to help. I can do it."
"You are a girl. We are supposed to make men do it."
"I can get my dad to help." I lie.
"Marcus can help. Young muscles are better than old bones." She smirks.
Her smirk was just like Marcus', but more feminine of course.
I nod, dropping the subject.
After breakfast, I thank her, and Marcus takes me to school. We get out, and attend the day normally.
Today we hung out with Noah all day. He wasn't at school yesterday.
"What's up." Marcus Says to the approaching goth.
He nods a hello to Marcus. Noah looks at me.
"Oh wow she's not wearing black today." Noah says.
I was wearing a red and green turtle neck, and black leggings.
"And you still are."
"I'm not man of change." He says, smirking.
"Well that's enough teeth for one day." Marcus Says.
"Piercings." I say to Noah quietly.
He rolls his eyes.
At the end of the school day, I go home and add to my suicide note above Marcus' section.

Marcus' Mom,
You have been like a mother to me in the little time I've known you. You really are like the real parent figure in my life. Truth is, I always wished I could tell you everything. It's just really awkward for me to talk about. You've made me meals, and cared for me like your own. Thanks for that.

I then got Marcus to drive me to the rental truck place so I could rent a moving truck. I had a drivers license, I just never had a car.
Marcus helps me put my stuff into the truck. I didn't put my clothes that I need before I move in there. I leave it parked in front of the house.
April 16th, Wednesday
When I get home from school, my dad is waiting for me.
"Yes?" I say, walking in the door.
"How do you expect to move out if you don't even have a job?" He asks.
"I have money."
"Thanks to who?" He asks.
"You." I respond, rolling my eyes.
"Are you gonna get your life together, Brianna? Or are you gonna be a jobless person living in the streets?"
"I bet you're praying for the second option." I snap.
"Just because you're moving out, doesn't mean you get to talk to me however you want, little girl." He yells.
"Actually, at 1am on the 17th, I can talk to you however I want, because I will be a legal adult."
"Legal adult or not, you're still my daughter, meaning I can still beat the hell out of you."
I get close to him.
"Daughter or not, the way you treat me will always be illegal."
He slaps me hard across my face.
"Do you want me to let you leave this house sore? Or would you like to leave this house like a normal kid?"
"I hope you know that as soon as I leave this house I can report you to the police."
He punches me in my face.
"Threaten me one more time and I swear to God I will kill your ass!"
"Do it! I dare you! Kill me right now! No more talking! Do it, asshole!" I yell.
He pulls his pocket knife out his pocket and slides the blade out.
"Are you going to just wave it around or are you going to use it?"
He doesn't respond.
"You want to kill me, don't you?"
He squints his eyes in anger.
"You want me dead, just like mom is! Don't you!" I yell.
Then he takes the knife and swings it.
And it cut my stomach.

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
