《His Little Psycho》42- "Kayvan!"

KAYVAN's POV
Three cop cars pull up.
I sigh, sweat dipping down my face and put my hands up.
A cop arrests me and the rest go into the house.
"Where's the stuff?" They ask.
"I don't have it."
"So there were others with you?"
"With me? I didn't do anything. I just so happened to be going through the neighborhood and I heard the alarm."
"So if we ran the house for finger prints, yours wouldn't be on there."
"Yes, but only because I was worried about what was happening and decided to go check and see what was happening."
They believe me.
"Did you see the robbers?"
"No sir."
He sighs.
"Okay, I guess there is no need for investigation. How old are you?"
"I'm thirteen."
"Okay. I'll put you in the cruiser and take you up to the station. From there you can call your parents and they can pick you up."
I nod and we head to the station. Once we get there, I call Brianna.
"Hello?"
I sigh. The officer was watching me.
"Hey, um, can you come pick me up from the police station?"
"Why are you at the police station?"
"It's a long story."
"Okay. Me and Marcus are on the way."
"Okay bye."
"Bye."
The officer looks at me.
"Who answered the phone?"
"My mom." I lie.
"So she's coming to get you?"
"No my step sister is coming to get me."
Another lie.
"Okay then, we can go wait outside."
We go outside and once I see Marcus' car pull up, I go up to it.
Unfortunately, the officer follows me.
"You must be his step sister." He says, smiling at Brianna.

Not even a slightest bit of confusion crosses her face.
"Yes, nice to meet you. This is my boyfriend, Marcus."
They greet each other and I get in the car.
"Well, have a nice night. Drive safe."
"You too." Brianna says.
We pull off, stopping at a gas station. Marcus gets out and Brianna stays in the car with me.
"What happened?"
"I don't want to tell you."
"Too bad. You have to."
"I started hanging out with these...boys. They're not the best kids. I got involved with a lot of stuff, like street art, street fights, theft and other illegal stuff."
"Kayvan!"
"I know! I know! So tonight we were robbing a house-"
"Kayvan!"
"Let me finish! And they left me there. They tricked me. I was caught by the cops and lied my way out of it."
Her mouths opens to speak but I interrupt her. "I know, I know, 'Kayvan'. And I'm sorry. It was the only way to make them stop."
"Who?"
"The bullies."
"Give me their names."
"Why should I? They stopped. It's over and done now."
"Kayvan, you just got arrested! When will you realize the seriousness of this?"
I put my head down.
"Look. As long as it's over. If I hear one more thing, I'm tattle telling." She warns.
Marcus gets back in the car and we fill him in on what happened, but he didn't care as much as Brianna.
BRIANNA'S POV
It was only a week later.
It was only a week later when we got another call from the police department. The first time he called we were currently visiting in San Francisco. This time, we were back in Las Vegas.
The police department called.

Kayvan has been arrested for getting into a fight with a boy named Jaylon.
They tried to call his parents and there was no answer. So Kayvan gave them our number and said we were the next best thing. Now we were in the car, heading to San Francisco to bail Kayvan out of Juvie.
After that is done, he gets in the car.
"What did I tell you last time?" I ask him sternly.
"That if anything else happened you were telling." He mumbles.
"Right! Well I'm actually clueless on who to tell so instead I need you to explain to me what happened and why the hell we just had to bail you out of a juvenile detention center."
"I thought I would never have to deal with the again. They left me to get caught, so I knew they'd be done with me. I was right, but when I saw Jaylon I-."
He takes a breath.
"I wanted to kill him."
"And?"
"So I tried?"
"I thought they said it was a fight, not attempted murder!" I shout.
"It looked like a fight, but I was trying to kill him."
"Wow." I mutter.
"Are you mad?"
"Honestly? No. He honestly deserved it but I am shocked."
So I can now officially say that from that point on, things ran pretty smoothly.
Wait, actually.
No I can't.
