THIRD PERSON POV-

Taegguk sat on the bench beside his mother who clutched onto boy's arm possessively making the brunette look at the blonde helplessly. How bad he wanted to end Taehyung's misery at the very moment but he knew he could do nothing at the moment.

No matter how mature he was....he was still underage.

The ravenette looked at the mother son duo sitting a little away from him blankly only to look ahead again. He knew Hobi will never let him down so he was just waiting for the judgement which he knew will be in his favour.

''My lord, My client Mr Jeon Jungkook want a divorce from his husband and coincidentally, Mr Jeon Taehyung also wants the same. It is their mutual decision but the matter of debate is their son, Kim Taegguk who is just sixteen years old and my client wants his custody.'' Hobi explained making the judges nod understandingly.

''Right your highness.....Mr Jeon Jungkook want the custody of a child he never knew about a week before. My client Mr Ki-...Mr Jeon Taehyung raised his son alone for last sixteen years and now suddenly Mr Jeon Jungkook is interested in claiming his rights on his son.'' Yeonjun countered back.

''My client had been searching for his husband since the day he left, me lord.'' Hobi stated making Yeonjun chuckle sarcastically.

''He wouldn't have had to search for them if he cared about their well being, My lord. Mr Jeon Jungkook knew that his husband was pregnant when he left the house. If he wanted his child then he would have stopped his husband from leaving. I find it fishy as to why Mr Jeon suddenly want the custody of his abandoned son?'' Yeonjun questioned.

Hobi looked at Yeonjun for a moment before smiling.

''As I have already told, my client Mr Jeon Jungkook is a Human, Your highness and humans make mistakes and he regret it. He had been constantly trying to reach out to his husband but Mr Jeon Taehyung kept his son hidden from his father. It is a deed against law to keep his child away from his father, My lord.'' Hobi stated furiously making Taehyung look at Hobi in disbelief.

He couldn't believe his eyes as well as ears.

A person who knew everything about his life was blaming the blonde for everything.

''My lord, If my client wanted, he could have left Jeon resident before telling everyone that he was pregnant but he didn't do it....he informed his husband about his pregnancy but Mr Jeon didn't care so he had to leave.'' Yeonjun tried to make a comeback but looked like Hobi was prepared for everything.

''My client committed mistake, my lord and he accept it. I already told you that he regretted once Mr Jeon Taehyung left and he started searching for him. I don't understand why are we talking about same thing again and again? Once Mr Jeon Taehyung left, my client realised that he wanted his child. This is normal....people make mistakes but we don't punish everyone who regret his doings but my client suffered a lot, My lord. He had to live away from his son for sixteen years!! Sixteen years, your highness, he was constantly trying to search for his husband.'' Hobi emphasised making all the judges nod.

''Okay...I accept what you said, Mr Hobi but what about my client, Mr Jeon Taehyung? He has no one, my lord. He had spend a major part of his life on raising his son. Jeon Taegguk is the only person in name of his family. He worked hard to earn for both of them and now, when his son is grown up, Mr Jeon Jungkook want his custody. Will not be it unfair for Mr Jeon Taehyung?'' The lawyer asked with a raised eyebrow.

''That's what I am trying to say, My friend. Jeon Taegguk is a grown up boy now. His needs are increasing with which is increasing the expenses that Mr Jeon Taehyung will not be able to afford. My client Mr Jeon Jungkook is a big businessman and he has everything that his son want. Every father want to give the best life to their kids and my client is no different, my lord. He want to give every comfort and luxury to his child.'' Hobi informed politely.

''My lord, My client Mr Jeon Taehyung is a famous painter. He earns more than enough to bear his as well as his son's expenses. He had never let his son face any problem till now. Taegguk had been provided with the best education, medical care as well as atmosphere for a safe and healthy upbringing. I don't see why Mr Hobi think that Taegguk is lacking something?'' Yeonjun countered back.

''There is a huge difference between the income of a painter and a businessman, my friend and add to it, Mr Jeon Taehyung may need some rest now as he had been working hard whole of his life to earn for himself and his son. I don't see any harm in handing Taegguk's custody to Mr Jeon.''

''This is not fair for my client my lord. he spent his life for his son and now, when he need his son, Mr Jeon want him bac-''

''My client is ready to let Mr Taehyung meet his son whenever and wherever he want, My lord.'' Hobi cut Yeonjun the middle making the lawyer irritated.

''My lord, Taegguk is the only thing my client can call his earning of ye-''

''Mr Jeon is ready to pay compensation fee for his inability to be there to support his son's expenses in the past years, my lord.'' Hobi cut Taehyung's lawyer again.

''Money can't buy time my client has spent on his son's upbringing, Mr Hobi.'' Yeonjun stated firmly making Hobi raise his eyebrow.

''Money can't buy emotions,...it can't turn back the time. Money don't have the power to go back in time and change things. My client had spend a large amount of his life on his son and money can't buy him all those years back.'' Taehyung nodded agreeing with his lawyer while Taegguk clenched his fists in anger.

He was not some toy for which people were fighting.

Hobi picked up the glass of water and extended it towards Yeonjun who looked at him confusedly.

''You are getting emotional, Mr Yeonjun but you are forgetting law and order don't work on emotions. It believes in practicality and facts and no one can change the fact that my client, Mr Jungkook is more capable of giving a better life to his son than Mr Taehyung can give him.'' With that, Hobi smirked making Yeonjun speechless.

He wasn't left with any counter attack.

''My lord.... My client is ready to give Mr Taehyung whatever he want. He only want his son's betterment as a father and I am sure anyone can see who is better able to give a more luxurious future to Jeon Taegguk. I request you to please think about it and give a judgement that is better for Jeon Taegguk's future.'' Hobi finished and sat down on his chair while Judges talked among themselves.

Beads of sweat appeared on Taehyung's forehead seeing himself losing the case. He should have known that there was no use of fighting against Jungkook because its him who always wins at the end.

But what made Taehyung more surprised was the venom in Hobi's words for him. He never thought that someday, his Hobi Hyung would be fighting in court to give Taegguk's custody to Jeon Jungkook.

A person who left him with nothing.

''We can't make any decision without listening to Taegguk's opinion, my lord. It will be wrong to make a judgement for the boy without considering Taegguk's point of view.'' Yeonjun finally spoke after a long moment of pushing his mind to its limits.

Hobi looked at the judges and stood up.

''He is underage, My lord. He don't know what's right for him.'' He tried to counter Yeonjun's words.

''But every child has the right to choose who he wanna live with, Mr Hobi.'' Taehyung's lawyer said smiling wickedly while Taehyung looked at his son who nodded assuringly.

''Jeon Taegguk had always lived with his mother, My lord. He don't know how it feel to have a father, neither he know how much his father love him so it will be unfair to my client as Taegguk may get emotional and choose his mother for the sake of time they have spent together.'' Hobi countered making Jungkook nod to himself.

Everyone in the courtroom started gossiping making the judges finally come to a conclusion.

''Before making a judgment, we would like to hear Taegguk's opinion. Its important to give importance to his choice before deciding something for him.'' One of the judge stated making the brunette stand up.

Taehyung feared leaving his son's hand but an assuring nod from his son was enough for Taehyung to pull back. Taegguk glared at his father who was looking at him with a smile before walking into the witness box.

''Please introduce yourself to the judges, Taegguk!!'' Yeonjun asked smiling at the boy who nodded before looking at the judges.

''I am Ki-....I am Jeon Taegguk, your highness. A sixteen year old boy in his senior year and looking at that fact, anyone can tell that I am not a kid who can't decide what's good for him. I have a sense of what's right and what's wrong. I know I am only sixteen but this is also true that two more years can't change my opinion as well as decision about this whole thing.'' Taegguk explained politely making judges nod.

Yeonjun came forward while Hobi looked at the boy with a soft smile.

''So...who do you want to live with, Taegguk?'' Taehyung's lawyer asked ahead making the boy smile bitter sweetly.

''I want to live with my mother, My lord. That's my own opinion and I am not saying it under the influence of any physical or mental pressure. I am happy with the life I have. I don't want any luxury...I only want my mother.'' Taegguk replied clearly saying that he didn't want anything to do with his father.

''What about your father? what do you think about him?'' Hobi interrupted making the boy clench his fists.

''I don't want to even think about a person who abandoned me before my birth, My lord. Father is not just a title, your highness...its a responsibility and the only person who bore my responsibilities since the day I was born is my mother. He always gave me the best...I don't have any complaint with my life... I request you to not separate me from my mother....please!!'' The boy requested making the judges nod.

Yeonjun smiled victoriously while Hobi only smiled before walking towards the brunette.

''So, Mr Jeon Taegguk.....When do you came to know Mr Jeon Jungkook is your father?'' Hobi started making the brunette look in the direction of his father angrily before looking back at Jungkook's lawyer.

''I knew Jeon Jungkook is my father since the starting. My mother never kept a thing from me.'' He replied making Yeonjun nod while Hobi looked at the boy with his signature smile.

''And when did you met your father for the first time?'' Hobi asked the boy who looked at him.

''I saw him today for the first time.'' Taegguk replied calmly making Hobi nod.

''Point to be noted, My lord. Jeon Taegguk had met his father for the first time today.'' He emphasised making Judges write down something.

''You may go now, Taegguk.'' Hobi said making the boy nod. Taegguk went to sit beside his mother again who smiled at him weakly....heart still thudding against his rib cage as he knew Hobi will not give up so easily.

''My lord.....You know how important a mother is for a child. A kid can live without everything but mother, the thought itself is scary for any child and same is with Taegguk. He is also a child and need his mother more than his father and if Mr Jeon wants, he can come to meet his son whenever he want...just like he offered to my client. I hope you will make a judgement that would be in betterment for Taegguk's future.'' Yeonjun finished and sat down in his chair while Hobi smiled.

''I agree with what Mr Yeonjun said, my lord. Every child need a mother more than anything in this world..no doubt in that but we can't ignore a father's feelings too. My client also have some wishes, some dreams with regards to his son. As much as a mother is important for a kid, so is his fathe-''

''Taegguk just said he don't wanna live with his father, Mr Hobi.'' Yeonjun cut the boy in the middle who looked at Taehyung's lawyer sharply.

''I hadn't finished yet, Mr Yeonjun.'' He replied making the other boy lick his lips.

''Sorry..''

''Thank you...now can I continue?'' Hobi asked making Yeonjun nod guiltily.

''My lord, Taegguk just said he met his father for the first time today. How can he decide whom he wanna stay with when he don't know how his father is in reality? How much he love him? How much will he take care of him? How Mr Jeon Jungkook will provide the bestest of the luxuries to him? Or how it feels to have your father beside you? Always ready to give every happiness to their kid?No judgement is fair without giving equal opportunities to both the parties to show their potentials. Mr Jeon Taehyung has been living with Taegguk since his birth while Mr Jeon Jungkook met his son for the first time today.... We can't let the amount of time spent override the love and affection of a father....that's all my lord.'' With that, Hobi finished and Taehyung held his breathe as judges talked among themselves about something.

Whole courtroom became silent when the one of the judge started speaking.

''We have heard both the parties. They provided all the facts and data to emphasise on their stand. Judges need to discuss about some things before coming to a final decision. The judgement will be given after the break....the court is adjourned till then.'' With that, the judges stood up and went away leaving everyone confused.

Everyone was anticipated as to what judgement will be given today.

But no one knew that this day will change everything for Jeon Family in the coming future.
