no I wanted to be Timmy
|
uh actually I wanted to be Timmy
ew why does she call him by his full name
—————
"Timmy sat in front of the fireplace for at least two hours just crying" Armie laughed as he recalls the ending scene of 'Call me by your name'.
I'm sat at a table with Armie and Elizabeth across from Timothée and I. Timothée's hand rests on my exposed thigh and my hand rests on top of his. We're at quite a fancy restaurant, the lights are dim and a fancy jazz band plays in the background.
"No my favorite scene was the waterfall scene, even though it wasn't even a waterfall" Timothée laughs. I smile up at him watching his beautiful features.
"What was it?" I ask, scrunching my eyebrows together.
"A dam" all three say together, including Elizabeth as she rolls her eyes. "They get a kick out of the dam story every time" she laughs, causing me to slightly laugh along.
We continue to talk about an assortment of different things. "So Adeline tell us a little about yourself" Armie speaks up, putting the pressure and attention on me.
My eyes widen as Timothée chuckles, knowing I don't like attention. "Um well, I'm from a tiny town in Maine, I go to Columbia and I'm working towards a degree in journalism and... that's it" I laugh at my short description of my life.
"What's your dream job?" Armie questions further.
"This is going to sound pathetic but I've always wanted be a a kindergarten teacher since I love kids so much" I smile to myself. "But everyone always told me not to waste my life away on that so I moved onto journalism" my smile fades.
"Who's every one" Timothée now asks, clearly interested.
"My mom" I laugh.
"What does she do?" Elizabeth asks, sipping her wine.
"She's a lawyer" I shrug. "Not much better than a teacher if you ask me" I say sarcastically, earning a laugh from everyone at the table.
"And what about your father" Armie tilts his head, taking a bite of his steak.
Timothée tense beside me while I squeeze his hand for reassurance. "He's dead" I reply causing Armie to practically choke on his food and Elizabeth to slightly cover her mouth, I'm sure out of embarrassment.
"I am so sorry I didn't know" Armie said quickly after composing himself.
"It's okay" I laugh slightly. "He died when I was super young so it's not a real touchy subject for me" I lie. Timothée knows I'm lying as well.

I take a large sip of my wine as we continue the conversation on a new subject. Timothée and Armie are now talking about the 'Call me by your name' sequel.
I watch Timothée as he talks, examining his face for the 100th time. I now understand what Frank Ocean meant when he said his guy was pretty like a girl.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear the jazz band begin to play Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. "I love this song" I gasp as the beautiful music plays.
I reach for my purse and grab a 20 dollar bill. "I'll be back" I smile as I stand up and make my way over to the jazz band.
I watch with a smile on my face as Adeline walks over to the band and admires their music. She does this often when we're out and she hears music, she'll stop and admire them, then give them all the cash she had in her wallet. Her appreciation for music makes my heart swell.
"Your totally whipped" Armie speaks, snapping me from my thoughts.
Elizabeth nodded in response. "Young love is so cute"
I laugh with a nod. "Wouldn't say love, but we're getting there" I admit honestly to the couple.
My eyes glance back to the beautiful girl who's still watching the band in awe. "She's seriously like a dream" I speak my thoughts out loud.
"I can tell she's different than the last one" Armie nods.
"Don't even brings her up please" I say rolling my eyes.
"I'm just saying Timmy, she seems a lot..." Armie begins to ramble as he tries to find his words.
"Nicer" Elizabeth speaks softly, trying to stop Armie from saying anything stupid.
"Yea nicer, more human" Armie finishes.
I roll my eyes once again. "Lily was human" I speak up, not quite sure why I'm defending her.
"Adeline just seems a lot better for you, that's all" Armie says putting his hands up on defense as I glare at him. "Timmy stop glaring at me you're not 5 years old"
"I don't want to talk about my ex girlfriend when my current one is across the restaurant from me" I say, getting slightly annoyed.
I know he means well and he just wants me to talk about my feelings, but now is not the time to talk about it.
"Gosh they're so good" Adeline sighs in joy as she sits back down at the table, noticing a shift in the atmosphere. "What did I miss?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows together.
"Oh nothing, Timmys mad because they don't have chocolate ice cream here" Armie covers up our previous conversation.

"We can get some ice cream on the way home, there's that really good place right on the corner by my dorm" Addy nudges me with the purest smile I've ever seen, trying to get me to cheer up.
Her action melts my heart, even though chocolate ice cream isn't the reason for my mood.
"Oh my god she's so cute" Liz whispers, causing me to laugh as Adeline's cheeks turn rosy.
"So Adeline, how many kids do you want to have?" Armie asks out of the blue, causing me to sigh dramatically.
Adeline laughs at my reaction but answers sweetly. "I don't know, I feel like 3 is the perfect number" she answers thoughtfully.
"Timmy wants 3 kids too" Armie grins at me as I blush looking down at my hands.
Adeline's angelic laugh rings through the air as my heart warms at the sound. She grabs my hand and squeezes them as she plants a kiss on my flushed cheek. "Let's just hope he'll put up with me until we're old enough to have kids" My stomach jumps at her remark.
She plans on staying with me for that long
"Well if you ever want some kid action, your more than welcome to come babysit ours" Liz says indicating to her and Armie.
My face lights up at the thought of Harper and Ford. "I miss those demons" I laugh remembering their faces.
—————
"I had a lot of fun tonight" the boy smiles down at me, pressing his forehead against mine. "Armie and Liz absolutely love you"
"I'm glad, they seem amazing" I smile up at him, wanting to feel his lips against mine.
As if he read my mind he crashed his lips on mine, his hand placed firmly on my lower back while mine are wrapped around his neck.
We pull away and I frown slightly knowing our night is coming to an end. Timothée copies my expression. "Are you sure you can sleep at mine tonight?" He whines.
"Yes, I have early classes tomorrow" I say pecking him one more time. "Now go, Armie and Elizabeth are waiting for you"
"Ugh don't remind me" he exasperates. "I have to deal with their lovey dovey shit all night" he pouts.
"Bye Timothée" I laugh at his despair.
"Bye Addy" he pouts even harder as I turn to unlock my door.
Just I do this action, Timothée grabs my arm and crashes his lips onto mine. Our lips dance together as I wish this wouldn't end but I pull away knowing it has to.
He smile at him one last time and slip into my dorm room.
Two pairs of eyes are instantly on me when I enter. "You're home late" Ashley says with a raised eyebrow, sounding much like my mom.
"I know I'm sorry, we stopped for ice cream because Timothée got upset that the restaurant didn't have any" I explain with a laugh as I recall Timothée's child like actions.
I walk over to my bed and plop down, my eyes fixated on ceiling. My mind wonders to the boy, wishing he was next to me. Wishing I could kiss him all night.
I think back to the events that took place a few days ago right before my mom called. I can't help but wonder if we would've had sex that night. I bite my bottom lip as the thought of me being a 19 year old virgin pains through my mind.
It's embarrassing
"I think we almost had sex the other night" I speak into the air, not considering my words.
"What?" Ashley sparks, sitting straight up in her bed, looking down at me from the top bunk.
"Yea, but my mom called" I laugh.
"Talk about awkward" Eden laughs along with me.
Ashley hops down from the bunk and sits next to me on my bed. "Does he know?"
I shake my head as I still stare at the ceiling, wanting to count the individual specks on the popcorn texture. "No. I'm scared"
"To tell him or to have sex?" Eden asks, now sitting up in her bed.
"Both, what if he gets weirded out by it and never wants to see me again" I sigh, now closing my eyes at the thought.
"Don't be ridiculous" Ashley rolls her eyes. "Guys find that shit so hot"
"She's right Addy, the innocence is a huge turn on" Eden adds in.
I can feel my face blushing red at the topic of conversation. "Guys I hate talking about this"
"It's going to happen one day" Ashley shoots me a look that I can feel with my eyes closed. I open my eyes to meet her stare.
"I know it's just weird" I shrug.
Ashley shakes her head. "It's only weird if you make it weird, once you do it your gonna love it" she grins at me, knowing how uncomfortable she's making me.
"Yea plus I know he has a big di-" Eden begins but my shriek cuts her off.
"EDEN SHUT UP" I squeal covering my face with a pillow, causing the two girls to laugh.
I know they mean well but Timothée and I's relationship isn't like that. We don't need sexual interactions to be happy or to thrive.
