I drag myself out of bed to care for one of the screaming girls. As I approach the crib, I see it's Julien that's upset.

"Come here, Julien."

She stops crying when I get her in my arms. She just misses me. I wipe the tears from her face, smiling.

"You're such a mommy's girl."

She makes strange baby noises in response. I laugh and my dad comes into my room.

"Nate here. Want me to tell him you are out?"

"Yes please."

He nods, closing my door. I hear muffled sounds coming from out by the door. Then I hear a loud voice.

"She's here! You can't lie to me!"

"She doesn't want to see you!"

"I need to speak with her!"

"Get out of my house!"

"Not until I see my girlfriend!"

"GET OUT!"

The door slams and the smile fades from my face, a single tear falling down my face. My dad comes into my room again, taking my daughter out of my arms.

"I'll call Lili."

He puts Julien in the bouncer and I curl up on the bed, pulling a pillow into my arms as I start bawling.
