《Destiny That Binds Us》37: The drool's stain

The long, sloppy ride since the past two hours had slowly pushed Suhana into a slumber.
Half awake and Half asleep.
Seated beside her, Vikram was indulged in a boring historical novel, using it as a good distraction.
A distraction from the circus show that was taking place inside the van under Harshad's watch. Everyone was dancing to his tunes, ready to exhibit their miserable knacks.
And as the van hit the speedbreaker gently, Suhana's head, which was floating the air left to right, slowly landed on his shoulder.
Vikram, flipped the next page undistracted, as a pair of eyes from far beside was staring at him.
"Quit staring and do something productive" Vikram said with his eyes fixed on his book.
"Yeah..ahem..ahem...okay" Anika chuckled and moved to the seat Vikram and leaned forward and gazed at the left side as she saw Suhana dreaming all her best fantasies with her head peacefully resting on his shoulder.
"If you are bored, I can get you to tell you something interesting" Vikram commented with his eyes scanning through the words.
"Interesting? What's that?" Anika leaned back on her seat.
"A great man once stated that, to succeed in one's life....'You should mind your own business '" Vikram emphasized.
"Oh really??" Anika mocked," Thank you Mr.Vivekanandha" Anika smirked as Vikram remained undisturbed.
"You are so enjoying this huh?" Anika gave a sheepish look exchanging her glances between Vikram and Suhana.
"Absolutely not, it's annoying " Vikram said with a straight face.
"Oh really? Then I think......you should just wake her up, don't let her head rest on you. Ugh it's disgusting, I can totally understand you! Just wake her up Vikram what are you waiting for?" Anika mocked.
"She is sleeping " Vikram murmured, like a robot.
"Ohhhhh" Anika giggled.
"Aww look at this cute couple " Vikram and Anika looked up, as Rohit was grinning like a Cheshire cat with his mobile camera held up in the air in the direction towards Vikram and Suhana.
"I swear to God Rohit, if you dare take one picture, then you would be my next sausage meal" Vikram glared at him.
"What the hell!" Rohit lifted his hands up as Vikram gave him a stern stare.
"Okay I won't" Rohit rolled his eyes, as he moved ahead and requested the nurse who was seated in the rightmost window to move to the front, as he sat on that seat.
As her eyebrows twitched in confusion, Anika moved towards Rohit, balancing while walking inside the moving van.
"Why are you sitting here dumbo? What did Megha say? Is everything solved? Omg! Wait...did you guys....I mean.....kiss?" Anika grinned as she uttered the last line.
"Kiss? Well yeah, I asked her how was she doing....and she removed her dark blue heels and was ready to shove it on my face"
"Huh alright-Did she say anything else?" Anika grimaced looking at him.
"Yeah she did tell me that if I didn't leave that seat, she would make sure that her right palm leaves a deep red imprint on my face" Rohit shrugged with a straight face.
"Oh I like her! She is fierce! You really have to try a lot to win her back, I guess" Anika nodded in consternation.

"That it is!" Rohit sighed and turned away as Anika turned to her left and saw Vikram completely undistracted with his book, while Suhana was still sleeping.
"Huh, she must be really tired! But still she looks cute enough" Anika murmured as Rohit turned his head towards her.
"Yeah they look like lovers who have been in love for years! Well, Look at this" Rohit passed his phone to Anika.
"What?? When did you click a pic?"
"When that stupid brother of mine was busy threatening me of turning into a sausage" Rohit smirked.
"What the actual fuck?" Everyone turned their heads, only to find Zaara yelling.
"Yes exactly! What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" Vikram turned it against her.
"Your engagement was cancelled right? Then why the hell is she...." Zaara paused, not able to put her feelings into words.
Sensible people turned their heads away, not interested in the conversation, while few were staring at them.
"It's Vikram Malhotra!!"
"Omg yes! Even I thought that his engagement was cancelled with Suhana as it said in the newspapers" Two girl nurses were busy fangirling in the other end of the van.
"Zaara, come with me" Harshad interrupted, not wanting his sister to create a ruckus, before the camp could even begin.
"Harshad look at this....!! Hey you...bitch get your....." Harshad sealed Zaara's mouth with his palms, not wanting to embarrass in front of everyone.
After making sure Zaara has calmed down, Harshad moved back to them.
"I thought of asking her to participate and...ask her for a dance " Harshad laughed.
"Well, as you have 2 eyes, I guess you can see that she is fast asleep, so I think you better forget those pretty little plans running inside your head" Vikram said it in a go and moved his gaze back to his book, as Harshad was standing there dumbstruck for a few seconds and left to his seat, while Anika was busy controlling her laughter.
Suhana stirred her head sleepily, against his shoulder and rested back, as she found a comfortable place against his triceps.
Vikram turned to his left and looked down at her, as he stole a glance and moved his focus back to the book and continued reading.
••••
With the tires screeching, the van came to a halt under immense friction, as the driver hadn't noticed the small dog which crossed the road, all of a sudden out of nowhere.
Due to these sudden breaks, Everyone jerked from their seats, as Suhana's head jerked forward, as she was about to hit the metal rod on the seat in front of her, as a hand came in between the rod and her forehead.
Suhana opened her eyes wide as she leaned back staring at the spongy palm which she had just hit.
With her googly eyes, she slowly turned to her right, as she saw Vikram staring at a stupid book, which had a font size less than 7, in Microsoft Word, as he pulled back his hand from the rod.
"Don't try to touch me, okay!" Suhana narrowed her eyes as Vikram turned towards her.
"What are you staring at? Can't you understand?" Suhana asked, annoyed.

"So you literally use me like a pillow and then.....talk like this?" He glared at her with a smirk lingering in his lips.
"Huh...I-what?" Suhana rolled her eyes, on hearing how pathetic his lies were.
Vikram narrowed his eyes and looked down his shoulder, as Suhana followed his gaze and her eyes froze.
Her hands were still tangled around his arms, which she was using no less than a pillow a few minutes ago.
Swiftly, Suhana removed her hands from his and moved an inch away from him.
"Don't forget to wash my shirt once we reach the camp" Vikram said coolly as he leaned back to complete the last few pages left in the book.
"Why should I? I ain't your maid" Suhana narrowed her eyes.
"But It's your drool that has stained my shirt..Look" Vikram looked down as he pointed out at his shirt, where she had lied on before"
"Ughh" Suhana hit the air around with her hands imagining it to be his face as she turned away from him, to control her anger.
•••••
Chill breeze gently brushed against Suhana's cheeks as she stepped down from the van.
The village wasn't anything what she had imagined it to be. It was bliss. The entire place where they had reached to settle down was incredibly astounding as it was surrounded by trees, 10 feet away. As she couldn't see an end to the line of trees anywhere near, she assumed that it might be the woods, beyond that.
"Someone is lost in beauty" Suhana turned back and saw Harshad.
"This place looks so.....serene and intriguing." Suhana smiled genuinely as she turned around and took a glimpse of the surroundings.
"Yeah it is, well that place.....we all would be staying over there and...about 300 meters from there would be our camp" Harshad pointed to the place.
"Oh okay! Do you need any help?" Suhana asked, as she saw some of their doctors and nurses move towards the direction of the camp carrying huge stuff.
"Oh nothing, we are just planning to set up the health camp, over there. You can stay here!" Harshad denied.
"Come on, I can be of some help at least" Suhana shrugged.
"Fine, let's move to the venue, before that....let me ask someone to help to lay out all the personal tents for us to stay. Ugh....we should have brought someone to help with all of this stuff. Maybe the villagers can help us" Harshad regretted.
"Well, nevermind, I know someone who could do that. You should proceed with the health camp setup"
"Yeah, it's almost 6pm now, we need to have it all ready, as the health camp starts from tomorrow "
"Yeah, I get it, but why aren't there many villagers over here?" Suhana gazed around as Harshad continued,"Well they all live a bit away form this place, they offered this space for us so that it would be easy for us" He smiled.
"Oh...Okay, I will ask for help with those personal tents for everyone, you should carry on with your work " Suhana smiled and as Harshas nodded and departed.
Suhana looked up as saw the dark clouds taking over the light ones, as the darkness of purity took over, and as she was lost in nature, a loud punch landed on her left arm.
"Ouch!" Suhana turned to her left and saw Megha's face burning red, staring at her.
"Hey..... Megha! How are you?" Suhana grimaced.
"That punch should have landed on your face!" Megha was outraged.
"Megha....Listen honestly I had no idea that he would be joining us too!" Suhana answered surprised.
"Oh really? Do you think I would believe that?" Megha rolled her eyes as Suhana continued, "I swear on mumma!" Suhana swore as she meant the 'he' to be Vikram, while Megha understood it as Rohit.
"Okay leave it!" Megha sighed,"All I have to do is stay away from that guy and everything would be fine I guess"
"Everything would be fine if you don't stay away from him" Suhana murmured under her breath"
"What??" Megha interrogated as Suhana shook her head saying nothing.
•••••
Vikram was on his phone from the time they had landed in this place.
After being completely fed with his nonsense calls, Anika snatched the phone away from him.
"Seriously Anika?" Vikram glared at Anika.
"Oh yes I am!" Anika faked a smile as she noticed Suhana walking towards them from quite a distance.
"Your wifey is on her way to talk with you" Anika grinned widely.
"Shut up!" Vikram turned back as he saw her proceeding towards them as Anika had mentioned.
"Why do you think Suhana is coming here Anika? Do you think Suhana will talk with Vikram even though he yelled at her?"
"Did she tell that to you?" Vikram glared at him.
"See, I was right!! I won the bet, Anika!" Rohit laughed all over his face, "Okay fine" Anika made an annoyed face as Vikram hit his forehead with his palm.
"I think....she will come here and ask her husband to be her pillow again" As Anika decided to poke fun at Vikram, as Anika and Rohit hifi-ed.
"Oh please shut up!" Vikram turned away as he grabbed his phone from Anika's clutches, as he realised that Suhana had reached them by then.
"Anika and Rohit, we need some help in the health camp, can you please help us with that...?" Suhana requested as they both replied together, "Oh yeah sure, definitely ".
"And you..." Suhana pointed her finger at Vikram, there are some personal tents in the van piled up together....you have to set them up for all 25 people who have arrived here" Suhana faked a smile, mocking him.
"Suhana maybe I think I can...." Rohit volunteered to take up this job as Suhana interrupted, "Nope, you will help me over there in the health camp, I think Vikram will figure it out here and...... " Suhana asked in a cool tone.
"....hope you will be done with at least 10 tents by the time we return back" Suhana mocked him, as they headed towards the health camp.
