"lets dance."
muichiro said while tugging my hand before i could decline. he stopped in a spot of the dance floor and put one of his hands on my waist while interlocking the other hand in mine.
i felt our movements with every musical note. every second that passed, every breath that i took was filled with warmth and excitement. my attention was focused on him, and only him.
he flashed a soft smile at me while gliding my feet across the dance floor. it was nice seeing his smile, a soft side that i never knew he had when i first met him.
he spun me around. "i thought i knew everything about you by now, but i had no idea you could dance like this!" i smiled at him.
i felt my heart fluttering. i was really happy with him. it felt like i was on cloud nine. i liked seeing him smile.
"you know y/n.." muichiro spoke. "i levitate when im with you. i feel like a cloud. it's very nice around you, when i feel like im floating." he continued.
is he saying he fell in love with me? no it's not like that. falling isn't the right word.
"i feel like a cloud with you too, muichiro! and then when you're not around that's when my cloud starts raining and covering up the sun."
it seems like a good time to tell him.
i have to tell him. i need to let him know before the clouds go dark and it starts to storm. i need to let him know while we're caught up in the moment, as soft clouds just gliding in the sky together.
we stopped dancing.
"i like.. i love you, mui."
that sounded kind of awkward. "... nevermind i'm sorry if i made you uncomfor-"

i felt something on my lips. it felt warm, and it made my heart jump out of my chest.
"i'm sorry..i didn't want to rush anything." muichiro said as he pulled away from my lips.
"me too. i.. love?.. you too. i hope that's the right word," he continued. there was a hint of red that spread across his face. i felt so light on my feet, like i was a floating cloud.
"SPLENDID! WHAT AN ASTRONOMICAL SIGHT!" muichiro and i looked away from each other to find mr. uzui, yet again, holding a camera.
"that was utterly disgusting." mr. iguro said as he came up behind mr. uzui. what a hypocrite..
"NO FAIR! NEZUKO, NOW YOU KISS ME!!" i heard zenitsu yelling behind us. was everyone watching?!?
"congrats y/n! i always knew you two had something with each other~" nezuko said. she was also holding a camera, a polaroid camera. she walked up to me and placed two photos in my hand before running away from zenitsu.
muichiro grabbed my hand and pulled me outside. he brought me to the bench that he once called 'his spot and not mine' on the first day of school. im kind of happy that i was there to steal his spot.
"this is spot, no one else's." muichiro whispered before pulling me into a hug.

Follow our protagonist as he does his best to survive against the monsters that invade his homeworld. But is this world really where the journey begins? --------------------------- I just wanted to mention that this is the first light novel that I’ve ever worked on and I’m also just doing this for fun, so I apologize in advance if it isn’t up to par. I also drew the cover myself because I wasn’t sure which pictures were okay to use and I didn’t want to bother with it. So yea, sorry about the amateur drawing (・.・;) In any case, feel free to give feedback and thank you for reading.
