. She said scared looking at her last hope
"Hayaat, what are you saying?". He said confused finding a woman who he hates at his doorsteps
"Please, Zahid, I need you". She pleaded
"Come on, we can talk inside". He said pointing to his door
She shakes her head, "No, I cannot go in with you. Please, just help me this once".
He knew he will regret his decision the next day yet the look in her eyes told him she had managed to get herself in grave trouble.
They were married and he had no idea of anything.
"Happy?". He asked sarcasm filled in his voice as he looked down to their Nikaah papers
"Thank you so much, Zahid. You have no idea what you saved me from". She said genuinely smiling for the first time since they have met
"What trouble are you in now, Hayaat?". He asked
That was how he ended in her house standing in front of her family who just disowned her and called her their shame. She doesn't even look much affected by the whole drama happening and Zahid could care less since these people barely knew him still they were throwing assumptions about him.
"That was dramatic". She said laughing as she walked outside
"Really?. I can't tell". He said rolling his eyes as they went to his car, "What did you put me into?".
She laughed patting his shoulder, "It was you who put yourself into this. Don't worry, the trouble will be gone soon. You have no worries".
"That's reassuring". He said sighing at the lack of information he has
"What will we do now?". She said thoughtfully
"Woah! I never thought you will think about something useful". He said starting his car driving back to his place
She was about to speak when he started speaking again, "Before you start, it's better if we go home, relax and then think".

"I like relaxing". She said grinning
He sighs.
"So, what are we going to do?". He asked
She shrugged, "I don't know. What do you want?. I already got what I wanted".
He rolled his eyes, "If you wanted me you could have said it earlier. I always knew you fight me because you love me".
Her smile vanished as she looked at him scrunching her nose, "You sure know how to ruin the mood. I don't fight you, you do and I don't love you since you made that kind of theory maybe it is you".
He was about to speak when she speaks, "I know you are immature it isn't hard to see so, for now, we can just live together and see what we want".
"If I see you here again I will kill you, Zahid". She said angrily glaring at him
He shrugged, "You might want to speak to our manager then".
"What-". She started when she saw the manager coming their way
"Hayaat, this project is important and time-consuming so we will have two of our best team member to work together". Their manager said
She looked at him wide eyes before she could speak her manager speaks again, "I am sure you know, Hayaat, how important it is for us architecture engineer needs to do excellent".
"What does he mean by that?". Zahid asked once the manager left
"I-I don't know". She replied walking away
"No, this is not how it had to be done". He said glaring at her
She placed the map on the table, "We have to go through the south first".
"No, we don't". He said
"Yes, we do".
"No".
"Yes".
"No"
"Yes"
"Yes". She smirks at his fallen face, "I won, so now follow my lead, you poor soul".
They started working in the hot weather working together to be sure there was no mistake.

"You are the most annoying person I have ever seen". He said angrily as they drive back home
She rolled her eyes, "Just because I choose a different side to work with, you have a problem. I think you have serious issues that need a doctor".
"No, you have issues. You are so controlling". He said
She laughed, "That's how you marry me too".
"God, to imagine having someone like you as my wife". He said
Her heart clench.
She didn't reply instead watched outside the window. When he didn't hear her say anything back he frowns looking at her then realised what he said.
She entered inside the house taking the couch opening her laptop as she looked through the schedule and procedure for tomorrow.
"Isn't it weekend?". He asked sitting down wanting to start a conversation
She shrugged, "I don't take weekend offs. I check the things when people aren't there because sometimes they hide things when they are there to cover their mistakes".
"I don't think they are that irresponsible". He said
She chuckled dryly, "You will be surprised".
"What time do you leave?". He asked
"Early. Around 6 AM, why?". She asked confused
"Obviously, I have to drive you there and what time are you coming back?". He asked
She smiled at his words of taking responsibility for her, "I am not sure but around 5 PM. Is that fine with you?".
He smiled, "Yeah, I will come to pick you. Wait for me".
The next day, she was content with the fact that he was civil and he actually dropped her to work. She went inside looking through the loopholes not major but enough to collapse if exposed to some measures noting them down.
"Woah! You were right". He said causing her to yelp back
He holds her to steady her grinning at her annoyed face.
"You scared me. I thought you left?". She asked
He shrugged, "I couldn't. Plus, I was curious about your words. You were right".
She looked at him with opened mouth, "Damn! I should have recorded that you are saying I am right. That feels so good".
He rolled his eyes still with a tiny smile on his lips, "Yeah, yeah, go ahead and mark today in your calendar. But, be sure there will no more you are right".
"Yes, your highness". She said laughing moving to check the land
"I am going to bring some safety equipment so stay here ok?". He said pulling her back, "How can you be so careless about taking these precautions?".
He ran away towards the far small cabin they share for eating or relaxing sometimes. He holds all the equipment walking back towards the place checking if he has everything. Just as he came to the spot he left her he couldn't find her anywhere.
His heart stopped.
His heart gripped in fear as he started looking around calling her name. He looked for an hour worried out of his mind calling her number. The rain started pouring making the land even more slippery to walk properly or to see.
He heard her phone ringtone and his stepped halted. He looked around to find where it was coming from to find it the one of the dangerous location that was still being dug into for building. There have been some major accidents because of the material that the land was giving out and the land being too slippery to stand on.
He hurriedly walked closer to her the sight had his heart stopped.
"Hayaat".
