She said looking at their eyes that were filled with tears
"No, Sarah-". His mother said
"I am telling you to leave my house right now". Humna said angrily
She turned around walking inside not wanting to be part of this anymore. The least she had expected was for them to come early not when she had lost her hope or want to meet them.
Now, she was independent not completely but she was a woman on missions and plans to achieve.
A woman who craves freedom.
But, that was only her plan that no one knows about. She finds someone holding her hand in a soft touch causing her heart to stop. She recognizes that touch in mere seconds. She used to feel that touch it was just that touch which made her feel like home.
"Beta (daughter)". His mother said softly
She cleared her eyes turning around to them standing inside the house. She looked at Humna questioning her incredible power to not being able to kick them out but she didn't react moving her wheelchair towards the lounge.
She forcefully takes her hand away from his mother hand walking inside the lounge with other behind her.
"Why do your hand have red marks?". His mother said once they sat down
She looked down at her hands remembering she was hit just then.
She shrugged, "Playing".
She saw their eyes turning into anger for her. Something she used to love but she didn't react at it. She turned her eyes to the man she had often dreamt about.
She watched nonchalantly at his mother tending to her hands that were red by now. She used to love when she would tend to her or even hear her. She wasn't able to speak at first when she went through the phase. It was almost like she could never speak until she found her slowly melting her. She was the person who managed to walk through her.
She looked at Ahad who was already looking at her or specifically her hand. His eyes held the anger she used to find in them each time she would meet him wounded. Now, she knows why that day those eyes seem so familiar. Everything made senses now.
It was him.
Since he had grown far away from her she wasn't able to know right away but it seems no matter how his out appearance changes her heart would still recognise him and beat differently. The only difference is she knows how to not show any of her feelings or carry them around freely for others to hurt her.
"What do you mean by you have something on me?". Humna asked narrowing her eyes
She chuckles, "Now, I understand why you weren't able to kick them out". She paused looking at Humna, "Are you scared of your dirty secret going around but then again you have one living with you. How will you stop that one?".
"Stop talking or I will do worse". Humna warned
"The worst you could do to me at this point is hurt me physically but that doesn't actually hurt me. So, you really need to work on your threats they are as old as you". She replied taking her hand away from his mother hold walking away, "I hope you have a great time".

"How did you change like this?". He asked sitting beside her looking at the people around
Now, her one hiding place was no more hidden from anyone. She really wanted to hit him for causing this trouble.
"What changed?". She said looking at the clear sky
"You are just like how I wished to see you". He said smiling looking at her beautiful face
"How was that?". She asked curiously
"Strong". He paused looking ahead, "I always wished you would fight back".
She remained silent.
But her mind didn't it was as if her heart and mind had disconnected since he had arrived. One fear the odds and the other just jump at everything. His closeness was enough to affect her in every way possible.
"What do you plan to do?". His father asked as they sat in a cafe
She shrugged, "I have few plans".
"Like what?". Ahad asked
"I don't want to share them". She said gritting her teeth
"We want to be with you in this, beta (daughter)". His mother said softly
"Well, I have been doing fine since you left me years ago so I don't need any help from you now". She said walking away
She looked around the house to find no one there which was odd because that woman should be at door wanting to have her hands on her. She heard sounds from the study and walked near the door.
"I will buy her for a good price". She heard a man say
"She is not leaving me ever". Humna said angrily
"You are not doing well in your health how long will you have her with you?". The man said firmly, "I will have her one way or another. It is better that you sell her to me and enjoy the rest of your days with the money".
Her heart stopped.
She walked away when she heard his footsteps she hide from him but she moved out of her hiding watching him descending and then she saw his face. He was a man probably 45-year-old and he wanted to marry 18 years old?. It doesn't make sense but any kind of human being never made sense to her.
"You are back". She heard her say causing her to groan
"You know I will never leave you again". He said softly sitting beside her passing her his mother sandwich which she refuses
"I don't care about you leaving because I am never putting myself through that again". She said nonchalantly looking down at her phone
"Look, who we have here". She heard the voice that had her clench her fist
Mustafa.
"It's my first love- sorry - sorry- I was your first love you wasn't mine". He said laughing in the middle of his sentence
She rolled her eyes looking at him bored," Done?. I swear these days I find nothing fascinating about you all. It is like your peanuts size brain doesn't have anything new to say".
He narrowed his eyes angrily taking a step forward but Ahad pushed him back covering her. Her heart flutters at his action but she stepped on his side looking at Mustafa.

She smirked, "Are you angry?. That was easy. I guess failing over and over doesn't teach you anything".
"Who was he?". He said trying to contain his anger
If it was on him he would have him buried already. It was always the same for him. Whenever it came to her he would always be angry and he could do anything for her.
"No one". She said shrugging
His eyes flared with anger as he holds her hand pulling her towards him.
"He didn't seem like no one". He said angrily
She pushed him away, "Don't touch me. You have no right over me to question me or say anything. Stay away from me".
"She said I have no right". He said sighing
His parent looked at one another. They have seen him suffer over the years alone for her. In his own way, even when he was far he was always in this place. He never left, just physically, but emotionally he just stayed here. They watched him impatiently growing to be able to protect her in every way possible. They have waited for years with her.
"She is right. What right do you have to say that to her?". His mother said
His eyes filled with anger remembering Mustafa, "I want to have every right".
"Marry him". His father said as she waited for whatever reason she was here for
She chokes on her drink looking at them ridiculously, "Is this a joke?".
They shake their head as she composed herself.
"No, I will not marry him". She said firm
"We know you want to leave that house. Please, come with us. I know we did wrong by leaving you for so many years but give us a chance". His mother
"You didn't just leave you ran away". She said walking away
She laid in her bed wide awake after another nightmare thinking about her plans and everything that had been happening. For some reasons, his parents had planted a ticking bomb inside her by her words. The offer was absolutely tempting and she was going to say yes. But, she wasn't sure of many things.
Motives.
It's the scariest thing because you never know the human motive. If they weren't able to stand then how will they after all these years. It's her fight to win not anyone else. She prepared day and night for it. Then, why does her heart say otherwise?.
She looked around for him because she hasn't seen him anywhere. She found him speaking to someone and it was until he moved a little that she found who it was exactly.
Hania.
Her insides clenched as she watched her talking to him animated. She cannot see his reaction to that fake-ness but imagined him being pulled into it. The thought of them together or he with another woman drive her to insanity.
She turned around walking towards her place she usually eats. She sat down calming herself down before she blows off on someone.
"You know for a person who managed to kill her father you don't look half as guilty". Mustafa said smirking
Her heart clenched.
This was not how she imaged to take her mind off the previous situation. Yet, she remained unfazed from the front not allowing his words to show how dirty they made her feel.
She shrugged, "I am not guilty".
She wasn't. At all. But, being called something like a 'killer' since she was young wasn't something she enjoys especially when she had no idea what it meant. Her adopted mother (Humna) was the woman who started this rumour. That was her first and the last mistake of telling Humna her story and Humna using it to torture her every single day.
She stopped talking right after that. It was she went mute for a long phase of her life just thinking that her voice actually had her in this mess. But, also, the people around her did so much to her young mind. They asked her to kill herself, shut herself and to never speak to them. That was all she did.
She wasn't in power or never thought about hurting herself because Humna was in charge of that. She closed herself from people around her and bear Humna abuses in silent then she stayed quiet too until he came along.
"Stay away from her". She heard his angry voice
Her head moved towards him standing beside her. She used to love his eyes every time they were angry for her but she stopped herself there.
He left her.
"Why would I do that?. She is just as good of an option for me as you. But, then again, I have already had her while you never did. Bad luck". Mustafa said smirking
"If having me by fraud makes you proud of yourself you are actually a coward walking around. You didn't even manage to stand for a week". She said chuckling
Mustafa narrowed his eyes but walked away angrily. She smirked looking at him leaving because she was actually right. He was the second person she had opened to just not about her secret since two hits told her not to trust anyone with that. But, being an outcast she was always behind or on the side of everything. She was treated like a speck of dirt or even worse.
She sighs.
"Why didn't you agree to marry me?". He asked since the question doesn't stop bugging him
She frowned, "Is your ego hurt?. What in the right mind made you think I will marry you?".
"You promised me". He said making her heart stop

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
