. Saba said smirking
"No, you are not". He said angrily, "Why is this woman even in my house?".
"She came with her mother?". Maria replied confused
He sighs.
"Let's go". He said taking her hand walking outside
"I will sit with you". Saba said
"No". He said frowning, "Take your own car".
"I didn't bring it". Saba whined
"That's your problem". He said not liking this
Meanwhile, Maria plays with his hand placing it on her small ones giggling. He frowns at her but finds her like usual in her own world making him smile.
"What's so wrong by coming with you?". Saba said angrily
"I don't want you near us". He replied as his smile vanish watching his ex
Maria intertwine her hand with him smiling lightly as she moves their hand around.
"Maria, ask him". Saba ordered
Maria frowns looking at her not knowing what they are talking about.
"Don't speak to my wife like that". He said angrily sitting inside the car
Saba takes the seat beside them but he pulled her in the middle so Saba sat beside her instead of him as she wanted.
"Your hand is so big". Maria said smiling at him innocently, "Look".
He chuckles looking at their hand, "Yours are so small like you".
"Hey!". She said offended, "I am a big girl".
"Dumb too". Saba added making her scrunch back sadly
He frowns not liking this but he decided to bear for a few minutes because no matter how much he tries Saba won't stop.
"Dumb are the ones you don't understand when people ask them to stop". He replied making Saba glare at him, "My biwi is the most intelligent woman on earth".
Instantly Maria's eyes shine looking at her and a breathtaking smile on her face, "Yes. Doctors need to be very very very intelligent".
"Jee meri doctor biwi". He said ruffling her hair
She pouts.
He helps her making her hair right making her smile at him making his heart flutter.
"You are so beautiful". He said softly
"What about me?. I was going to be your wife too you can't just ignore me". Saba said pissed
He growls lowly when he feels the anger and Maria looking at him confused.
"Yes, we were supposed to be married because our parents arranged it. Then you cheated on me and went out with my friend behind my back while using my money. Thank God, I found about it sooner and before our marriage because you are nowhere to this beautiful woman who is my wife and will forever be the only one in my life". He said as the car stops
They enter the event and he proudly introduces her to everyone keeping her very close to himself.
"Bhabhi (sister in law)". Zuhair said smiling
Sameer smile fell watching him and he pulls her closer to him.
"Zuhair, how are you?". She asked smiling
Sameer rolls his eyes when Zuhair smirks at him.
"I am good, you?. Are you enjoying?". Zuhair asked
"Yes yes". She said grinning making them both chuckle
"Why don't you go have some cold drink?". Zuhair suggested pointing to the bar
She nodded running off to the bar ordering herself some cold drink.
"Why is your ex here?". Zuhair asked seriously
Sameer closes his eyes trying to subside his anger because Saba had been trying to stick her nose whenever he introduces Maria especially trying to bring her past in front of everyone. He had warned her strictly that if she were to open her mouth she will be doomed. He doesn't play when it comes to Maria. No one is going to hurt her.

"She forced us. She even tried to use Maria's innocence to have me agree to take her with us good thing Maria wasn't listening to her". He said sighing
They both stopped when they find Maria talking to the bartender asking him for glasses as she makes a tower of them with her utmost attention.
"I am telling you I can place this last glass and I will win. You own me". She said to the bartender
Sameer watches her with a smile on his face just as she places the last glass Saba pushed her forward resulting in the glasses to break as she falls on them and her hand on the broken glass.
His eyes widen with his thundering heart he ran to aid his wife. He holds her hand making her look at him and there were tears of pain in her innocent eyes.
"I-It was a mistake. I am so-". She started sniffing as she tries not to cry in pain
"It wasn't your fault". He said shaking his head as he tries to cover her bleeding hand with his handkerchief
"Sameer you take her to Baba I will deal here". Zuhair said patting his back encouraging him
"Deal with her too". He said angrily as he gently holds his scared wife walking outside
*****
"What happened, meri bachi (my child)?". His father asked worried as they enter his cabin in hospital
"My hand". She said sadly looking down at it
His father eyes widen as he instructed her to sit on the bed while he brings all the equipment to take the glass out. Sameer remains quiet watching how pale she gets watching the needles and everything.
"You know you were good back then". He started making her eyes look at him instantly
"What?". She asked confused
"The glasses. You were doing great I don't think many people can do it". He commented
She grins at him, "Really?. I told Hussain I will win and he owns me a Pepsi".
His eyes furrowed as he asked a little angry, "Who is Hussain?".
She chuckles, "Arey (oh), Hussain is the bartender. You know he wanted to be a pilot but he didn't have enough money-".
"You already know his history?". He asked taken back
She nodded, "Yeah. He said he didn't want to be anymore because he is poor so I told him I am working hard to be a doctor and no matter how much time it takes I will be one".
"Woah!. I can't believe this girl". He mumble sighing, "You bet for a Pepsi?".
She grins cutely shaking her head," Nahi (no), I said if I win he will continue to work on his dream and we will fulfil our dreams but that will take a long time so for the moment he can give me Pepsi".
His chest swells with pride for the amazing woman he had married.
"Done". His father exclaimed moving back
She looks at her hand moving it and then at his father, "Thank you, uncle. You are amazing".
His father chuckles patting her head, "Stay bless, beta".
She nodded and then she went into her thoughts. Sameer notices it so did his father.
"What is it?". Sameer asked coming closer to her
"Do you think I won?". She asked confused
"Of course. You were able to keep the glass and it stayed for at least a few seconds so you won". He said
She squeals in happiness jumping up and down, "Yes. So he will follow his dream".
His father looks at him smiling and nodded his head both knowing they have a gem with them.

"Chalein ab (let's go)?". He said forwarding his hand and she nodded happily, "Thank you, Baba".
His father kissed her forehead as they leave the hospital.

"You can go in the room I am going to meet Ammi". He said as they enter the house
She nodded immediately taking off to their room.
He walks to his mother room knocking on the door entering inside.
"What happened?. This blood?". His mother- Hira asked worriedly
"It's not mine. It's Maria's". He said calmly
His mother gasped taking steps to leave the room, "Something happened to her?. Where is she?".
He holds her hand shaking his head making her sit on the bed placing his head on her lap,"Ammi you always said you trusted me, right?".
His mother massages his head, "Yes".
"You trusted me enough that when I said I wanted to marry her you did it". He said softly, "I love you Ammi more than anything and it hurts to see my beautiful Ammi like this. What the use of all this hate?. We have to stand in front of our Lord and answer him for only our actions, not anyone else. What will you say to him?. I don't want my Ammi looking down I want her in heaven before anyone else. Please, Ammi, people are useless and they all are just living for the world. You always taught me to live for the end. Don't listen to those people they are of no good. They will point the finger even at a child who did nothing wrong. I love her Ammi please don't do this".
"You know what happened today?". His mother said as she cries, "She defended me in front of them".
He looks at her smiling wiping her tears, "Just one chance, Ammi. All I am asking is one chance from you".
His mother nodded smiling.
"What happened to her?". She asked
He explained the incident and his mother looks down guilty.
"I shouldn't have called them. I didn't know Saba will go with you two". His mother said honestly
"Leave that. Just don't let them point finger at my respect that easily. She is our respect, Ammi. We need to protect her". He said softly
His mother nodded.
*****
The next day she quickly walks down because she was late today. Last night they came late from the event and the tiredness was still on her.
"Beta". She stopped dead in tracks hearing his mother words
She looks at her, "I am so so sorry. I wasn't meant to wake-".
His mother shakes her head, "Go and sleep. It's his day off anyway".
"But-". She started
"We will have breakfast late. It's fine. Go and sleep". His mother replied
She looks at her amazed then a smile break onto her lips, "Thank you".
She ran back to the room but stop not wanting him to wake because of her. She walks slowly to the bed watching him.
"Biwi, idher aao (wife, come here)". He said in his sleepy voice opening his arms for her
She smiles shyly going into his arms and he brings her closer, "I can only sleep like this or I will be awake. Now go to sleep".
She nodded snuggling into him making him smile and his heart at peace.
******
The next time they all sat on the table talking and laughing together. His mother had tried to do her best to be good and he was glad for it.
The house now was filled with happiness.
The month passes away quickly and in this month he had made her apply in the medical college. Though she wanted to earn her own money and her being so ambitious made him proud but he convinces her that he had trapped her with him for life so he should at least do this much.
Her being his innocent wife scrunch her nose at his point thinking really hard but agreeing to him in the end. That whole day he couldn't help but laugh to himself recovering some weird glances from people but what can he do when he has a precious little soul as his soulmate?.
He didn't care about people anymore.
He returns home a little late today because he had to deal with some issues in business. He had informed his wife asking her to eat and sleep before him.
He enters the house quietly placing his bag on the side. Just as he was about to take steps forward she walks in front of him with her beautiful angel smile with a glass of water.
"Water". She said smiling lightly
He narrows his eyes but drinks the water thanking her, "I told you not to wait".
"Aadat ho ap ab meri (you are my habit now). I can't sleep knowing you didn't come back home". She said innocently but his heart skip a beat
He takes a step closer watching that tonight she looks exceptionally beautiful. She holds her chin making her look in his darkened eyes, "Tum Bhi (you too). You are my addiction I can't ever get enough of".
She smiles shyly making his heart flutter more, "Go change. I am hungry".
He chuckles kissing her forehead lovingly, "I wanted you to eat before me".
"I can't". She said walking towards the kitchen but then turn around making her hair move around her making her more mesmerising, "Now hurry up".
He nodded forgetting all his tiredness and only his wife hunger and need to be close to her over his senses. In record time he was back eating with her and she talks about anything while he listens intently.
*****
Another party.
This time it was for the new deal he was able to get and his whole family was invited.
After introducing his wife to people and trying to keep her from knowing about everyone history he sits down sighing.
"Tired?". She asked teasing
He rolls his eyes, "No".
"You could be because you are old". She said grinning cutely at him
He narrows his eyes pulling her towards him by holding her hand. Her eyes widen and her breathing hitched.
"I am old?". He asked teasing watching how her face turn red
"Yes". She said stubbornly
He leans more closer making her eye widen even more forgetting about what he was meant to do now his heart beat rapidly forgetting everything but how she looks so exotic.
"Beta". He heard his mother breaking their trance
She blinks blushing looking away from everyone he chuckles. He joins his mother and father who wanted to introduce them to their friend.
"Beta, this is Hoorian". His mother said
He smiles at the older woman when he finds her taking a sharp breath making him turn to her pale face. She holds his hand tightly looking at the woman like she had seen a ghost.
"You look familiar, beta". Hoorian said frowning
"You don't remember your own daughter". Maria snapped
Everyone gasped looking at her looking at Hoorian angrily. Hoorian eyes widen and disgust and shock evident on her face.
"Don't look at me like that". Maria said even more agitated
"Who is she, biwi?". Maria heard an older man ask as he wraps his arms around her mother

The Final Quest
Everybody loves the Elder Scrolls games, no matter what game a person plays, it always is a unique and fun time. This is just one verse in the song of Tamriel. Call it Fanfiction, call it a light novel, heck just call it a one shot story. I don't care.(well actually I do, but thats next to the point) However, please remeber this as you read. This story is created through my own understanding of the story of the Elder Scrolls world.(with some help from online videos) If I misinterpret something, say so. I may fix it... eventually. Please, enjoy The Final Quest

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends
A ragtag assemblage of adventurers, scraped together by seeming circumstance, investigate the theft of an ecologically essential artifact. In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness. Blame any lead character weirdnesses on my players, whom I love. Blame everything else on me. Oh, and yes, this should also be tagged "Unreliable Narrator."
