Zuhair said angrily after watching her fainting
He had called the doctor immediately who said it was due to the sudden shock or trauma that was the reason and she should be awake in few hours which was the only time his heart was at little ease.
"Beta, she (His phopho) is wrong but-". His grandfather started
"You didn't see. In less than a day she already has her fainted and so much more. I don't want their family here as long as they both are here". Zuhair declared
"Who are you to take me out of my own house?". His phopho yelled coming inside their study
"I may be younger than you but that doesn't mean I will sit back and allow you to humiliate a woman for no good reason besides that you dislike her". He said trying to maintain his calm posture which he terribly fails at
"You might be blind by her fake innocence but I am not. She is nothing but-". His phopho started
"Don't". He said raging in anger, "I don't want to hear another word against her".
"Who is she to you that you are acting so much?". She asked angrily, "Or did she already trap you in her tricks. I must say she learned well from her mother to trap the boys of our house".
"I think". He said each word with authority and anger," I said to not say another word against her. Dada (grandfather) you can already see how much she hates her and to what extent she will go in future. If you choose for her to stay here the consequences will be worse".
With that, he exits the room that starts to suffocate him with the anger he was holding onto and to be able to get his point through without losing his calm. Obviously, he dreaded the question that stuck in his mind repeating over and over.
Who are you to her?.
Who am I to her?.
What is she to me?.
That one question swirl in his mind causing a headache to form in his head as he heads to his room standing in the terrace looking at nothing in particular.
Why were you so scared?.
His conscious mocks him.
He had never been so scared of looking at someone falling in front of him not that he ever experienced it but when his grandfather fainted he wasn't this scared instead he was the one handling all the matters along with having a rather cool posture.
This time he panicked almost the moment her last words whispers in his ear and the next moment she laid on the floor. His hand wanted to reach forward and hold her but he knows his boundaries so he asked his brother who looked shocked and shaken just like him.
But, why was he bothered?.
He had planned to not bother himself with their presence how is she shaking his existence?.
"What's wrong, Bhai?". His sister asked standing beside him, "Why were you shouting?".
"I don't know". He said sighing
"She is awake but-". His sister started
But before she can go on he sprinted towards his room door running towards her door which was already open a little and his steps halted when he heard a soft sound of cries.
"You remember Tasha?". Hoorain cried in her brother's arms who stilled

Her brother nodded.
"You remember how she was raped and then she went into depression taking her own life in front of me". She cried harder into his arms
While Zuhair clenches the doorknob in his hands hearing her broken words. He closes his eyes sighing heading back to his room but he finds his sister standing in front of him.
"I need time". He said walking into his room
The next day she tries to normalize herself as much as possible forgetting the whole thing from last night because she doesn't want to ruin anymore her day she stays here.
She walks downstairs to find everyone besides her phopho family which made her sigh peacefully.
Later she found that her phopho was sent back home for at least a week so she understands and realises what she did wrong which made her further happy.
"How about we bake a cake?". Areesha said excitedly
She thoughts for a moment nodding as they enter inside the kitchen taking the ingredients out watching them because she has no idea what to do. She looks at the YouTube video for the hundredth time to understand what she is supposed to do.
"Put the flour in the bowl, Hoorian". Areesha said frustrated because she has been looking at the flour since forever
"You put it". Hoorain said stubbornly walking back giving her place
Areesha rolls her eyes adding the flour into the bowl but Hoorain scoops a little flour into her hand throwing it on Areesha who screech shocked. Hoorain laughs looking at her face covered in flour and her wide eyes looking at her.
"Look at yourself". Hoorain said laughing
"That's it. You are dead". Areesha said holding a little flour in her hand throwing it on her
Hoorian grabs more flour throwing it on her and before Areesha can throw it on her she ducks down running towards the exit when she bumps into someone.
She stumbles back from the force blinking her eyes looking at Zuhair looking at her rather amused. She bites her lips shaking her scarf to get rid of flour which made more mess. She moves her hand to remove the flour from her cheeks only to put more flour on them.
That's when he heard his laugh.
For the first time.
She raises her eyes looking at him laughing so freely in front of her eyes making him look even younger and the shock registers to her as she didn't even find him smiling much less a full-blown laugh.
"It's not funny". She whines stomping her feet
Which made him stop laughing but still a smile grace his lips, "I beg to differ. Go watch your face in a mirror".
She frowns deeply deciding it's best she runs away from here before the shock and her fast heartbeat kills her. She runs towards her room and once inside she shuts the door behind her placing a hand over her heart to calm her heart down. She moves to look at herself in the mirror making a laugh escape her lips because she did look funny indeed.
Zuhair, on the other hand, shakes his head and his eyes meet his sister's.
He shrugged carelessly walking away before the interrogation starts.
She changes into better clothes knowing she needs to clean the mess she made downstairs and she soon comes down to the kitchen starting to clean and then Areesha joins her after a moment helping her in it.

"Do you want to go out?. We can have lunch and visit a mall since Eid is in a week?". Areesha suggested
"That will be great. I will ask Bhai". She said smiling calling her brother since he went out with the other boys
"Bhai went to an important office meeting so I will just inform my parents and we can leave". Areesha said walking away
She calls her brother informing her and he agrees with telling her to be careful of her surroundings. She went to her room changing into a different dress and taking the things she needs heading back down.
She walks downstairs to find Areesha on a call with someone then she ended the call.
"Phopho called". Areesha said irritated, "She was asking about the house and where we were going. I told her".
She shrugged it off heading outside to find the driver and they enter in their car heading towards the mall.
The whole ride Areesha spoke and so did Hoorian bonding as they share their stories.
"How does it feels to have both parents away?. Don't you miss one when you are with another?". Areesha asked as they enter inside
"Honestly I didn't exactly live with both of them under one roof to have any such feelings. They separated when I was one but I realised it's better to change path then living in a marriage that is not happy. Because I have seen how marriage affects the children". She replied honestly entering into one of the clothes shops
"Only if our people understand that". Areesha said sighing looking through the clothes
They roam around laughing and talking for an hour when someone bumps into her hard knocking her to the floor.
"Oh! I am so sorry". She heard a familiar voice
She raises her head to find Rizwan looking at her and he holds her hand without her permission to stand her on her feet. She snatches her hand away from his grip hating the fact that he touches her again.
"How come you two are here?". Rizwan asked confused
"I don't know about us but I sure know how you are here". Areesha said rolling her eyes at his fake drama
Obviously, his mother sent him hereafter knowing their whereabouts.
"I didn't get the chance before but I am truly sorry about my mother behaviour she can't be like that sometimes and she is elder so you should just ignore it". He said looking at her from head to toe
Before she can brush off his lame attempt to look apologetic he spoke again, "You shouldn't wear such clothes in public. The men will have their bad eyes on you".
She feels sick.
Hearing his words only further fumes her anger and she glares at him, "Men like you needs to learn to respect a woman more to walk away instead of handing free pieces of advice".
With that, she turns around to leave but her trouble wasn't ending that soon because now he was everywhere and no matter how and in how many ways she pushes him away he sticks to her like a piece of gum on the table.
Areesha had enough of him the moment he commented on her clothes and she does what she needs to do.
Zuhair looks at his phone continuously ringing with text messages from his sister. He frowns because there is no way she will text in the middle of his meeting unless it's important and that exactly what happened.
Phopho asked our address and I told her and now Rizwan is speaking nonsense and touching her.
That message was enough for him to turn into a raging bull in seconds. He throws the file away walking out of the meeting room and since his anger can be seen no one dare to say a word moving out of his way before he crushes them.
He drives like a mad man imagining how that bastard must have touched her even if it wasn't that bad of touch it was still touch and that touch was enough for him to kill him.
He walks inside the place where his sister said they were at. As he enters the shop he looks around to find them only to find a very upset Hoorain frowning at someone and it didn't take him a second to find who it was.
Rizwan.
He was standing in front of her holding her hand again placing the dress he had to choose for her and throwing away the dress she chooses for herself. That's exactly what he had been doing saying he knows what will look good on her spoiling her mood to no end.
"Look-". She said angrily
"Leave her hand". She heard a dangerous voice that made her shiver
She turns around to find Zuhair standing behind her and his whole face was red and his eyes were burning fire. She feels her hand being free from the idiot and she immediately hides behind Zuhair.
"How dare you?". Zuhair said holding Rizwan collar
"What are you talking about?. I was just handing her the dress". Rizwan said scared
"I told you to never come near her didn't I?". Zuhair said throwing a punch on his face making his lips bleed, "You still dare to come here and shamefully touch her without her approval".
"She doesn't have any problem then why are you acting?". Rizwan asked angrily
She looks around to people gathering and she knows this will make a new mess. She immediately holds his hand stopping his next words and moment in a second as she drags him out of the shop and far away from it. She leaves his hand as she stops cursing herself.
"I am sorry. I didn't want to create a scene there that's why I held your hand". She said hurriedly while her cheeks turn red
He hides his smile watching how she looks anywhere but at him, "I am sure".
Is he teasing her?.
"Thank you. He wasn't listening to me and I was going to slap him this time". She said frustrated
"Next time don't even think or wait for anything. Slap him". Zuhair ordered
She nodded.
Areesha joins them and gasps looking at her brother's hand.
"Bhai, what happened to your hand?". Areesha asked holding his hand which had bruises
"These are old". He said taking his hand away
"From when?". Areesha asked
He looks at Hoorain who was looking right at him as he speaks, "From last night".
