The first day back to school was completely uneventful. We did absolutely nothing. I guess I shouldn't be complaining but compared to everything else going on it all seemed so dull. On top of that everyone was worried about exams. We missed so many lessons so preparing was going to be a bitch.

"Vanessa!" I turned my head and saw Leila running at me.

"What are you going to do about the exams?"

"Umm.... study?"

"Whaa-" Leila cursed under her breath.

"What's up?"

"I thought you would come up with a really helpful spell that would magically let us know the answers to the test," Leila pouted.

"Nice try, but no. Not everything can be fixed by magic, Leila."

Leila sucked her teeth and dragged me to the quad.

"We're eating outside today?"

"Yupp, the boys already got us food off campus."

"Sounds good."

I smiled when I saw Kayden and Dylan with bags of taco bell.

"How do you feel?" Kayden asked worry etched into his face.

"I'm fine. Honestly, I'm glad to be back."

"So you haven't had the urge to take a chomp out of your classmates?" Dylan asked

I chuckled. "No. Although Tj Holts was looking pretty damn edible today."

Leila gasped "Wasn't he? I thought I was the only one who thought so."

Leila and I giggled when Rafael, Kayden, and Dylan glared at us.

"Keep talking like that, and your food is mine." Dylan threatened playfully.

"That won't be necessary," I said plopping down in between Kayden and Dylan.

I took out a crunch wrap and took a bite out of it

"Mmm. This is such a nice break from cafeteria food. Thanks, guys."

They nodded their head in acknowledgment and continued to stuff their faces. I sighed in content It was good to be back. How long would I be able to keep this peace?
