It was going on the second period, and I had yet yo see Dylan or Kayden. I huffed when Leila scurried into class.
"Has Rafe seen Dylan?"
Leila shrugged. "I wouldn't know. I was going to ask you the same thing about Rafe."
"Somethings wrong. Dylan's not here either. Have you seen any of the girls?"
Leila shook her head.
"Call my phone."
Leila nodded and dialed my number under her desk.
"What is this, Ms. Black? You don't usually let your phone become a distraction.."
I put a panicked look on my face.
"It's my mom. She doesn't call me at school unless it's really important."
The teacher gave me a disbelieving look. Leila sighed loudly.
"The last time your mom called you in school we had to go to the hospital. What happened this time?"
The teacher's eyes softened. "Be quick about it!"
"Hello? Mom!"
I nodded as if I was listening intently.
"Yeah, Leila's right next to me. What hospital is it this time? Okay, I'll talk to the principal about signing out."
I feigned a heavy sigh and glanced at Leila.
"Uncle Christian was in an accident."
"Oh, no!" Leila exclaimed.
"Can we go to the office?"
The teacher looked on at us in sympathy before nodding. Leila and I rushed out of the classroom before bursting into laughter.
"And here I thought we were bad actors," Leila said nudging my shoulder.
"Wait we have to snag Caelin first."
When we got to the door of Caelin's door of his classroom, I caught his eye and waved him over. He stopped by his teacher's desk and talked to her before coming out.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"No one came to school today. We're going home to see what's up."

Caelin nodded and followed us out.
The ride over to the house Caelin, and I glance at each other.
"They're not home."
"How do you guys know?" Leila asked
"For awhile there's been a strong scent of both Vampire and Werewolf, but it's going in the opposite direction. They probably went to the pack house." Caelin said.
I nodded. "I'm going to call Kayden."
I dialed Kayden's number and waited for him to answer before his phone went to voicemail. I switched and called Dylan only to have his phone go straight to voicemail.
"Well, that was a bust."
"I just tried Rafe; went straight to voicemail."
"Alright, let's go. I'm having a bad feeling about this."
I had Caelin park in Dylan's Driveway.
"I think we should walk the rest of the way."
"Agreed."

I Want You to Remember Me
A simple romantic tale of a... girl meeting a... boy. Trust and love both take time to grow, but growing together is also a lot of fun. A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. Think of this as more of a romantic slice-of-life story than an action or traditional romance story. Finally, thank you for reading. :)
