Next morning I woke up at 6.00am and went to the bathroom and finished my morning chores and then I went to see my mom,

she was busy preparing breakfast I kissed my mom in her cheeks then she kissed me back my dad was busy on the phone then I suddenly realized the engagement, I asked my mom who are all going to come today she said Riya's parents and my grandmother(mom's mother) are only coming because dad doesn't want to make the function big and also Rajesh uncle asked my dad to make the engagement simple.

I wanted to ask my mom about Vikram or whether she's having any photo of him so that I can clear my confusion but I didn't ask her anyhow I am going to see him after five hours.

Then I went to the bathroom and took a shower and I wear sweatpants and a shirt then I put my hair in a big bun. My mom gave me a big glass of milk and I have some cookies because I not hungry and it was too early for breakfast.

Then at 11.00am, my grandmother came home she was very happy to see me and I am also, we hugged each other and she kissed me. Then she went to see my mom and asked about the engagement, she asked why the engagement is so simple we can call several guests and make it as big but mom said that Mr. Rajesh family wanted this Engagement to be simple and she doesn't know the reason.

And it's 1.00 pm mom and grandma are busy in the kitchen and talking and I was waiting for Riya. Riya's father and my mom are siblings and they are the close relative of us and very supportive of my family added to this, Riya's father and my father are partners in the business.

It's time 1.30 pm Riya came to my house with her mother. Riya's mother was a very nice person and also very attached to my mom, she grabbed my hand and congratulated me for Going to be a housewife "aunty don't tease me" I said. Then she went to see my mom and then Riya asked me to change the clothes she wanted me to wear the yellow saree with black blouse, then she started doing my hairstyle, for more than 1 hour she's doing something with my hair she tried several hairstyle, I got irritated and I felt a severe pain in my neck at last she finished I looked very different in that hairstyle then she started to put some makeup in my face

"oh god please finish this quickly you idiot" I said. Wait pumpkin you have to look beautiful just five minutes she said, after that everything was over I looked myself in the mirror I looked very beautiful my dress, hairstyle and everything was perfect .

Then Riya called everyone then they all came into my room, everyone was surprised. My mom came and hugged me and everyone praised about Riya's talent as a beautician then she started to do makeup for herself and I just sat on the bed and watched her.

"when your husband is coming?" She asked me.

"What! I am not married yet and he's not my husband", I said.

"Anyhow you're going to marry him and when they're are coming", she asked.

"I think 4.00pm and engagement at 4.30pm", I replied.

She checked the watch and I noticed it's already 3.45 pm then my dad and Riya's father came into my room, I greeted my uncle then he congratulated me.

Then suddenly I heard a car sound and dad said "I think they came" then he went outside, at that time my heart was beating fast and I grabbed Riya's hand she smiled at me.

I hear Mr and Mrs Rajesh voice and my dad called me to come outside. Then I slowly got up and opened the door and Riya followed me.

When I came out Mr and Mrs Rajesh were sitting in the couch and my eyes shifted to a man sitting next to them, my eyes widened and I was shocked and surprised it was that elevator guy. He was looking at me and I am looking at him. Everything was cleared to me at that time and I came to realize the reason why he looked at me like that.

Then suddenly my dad asked me to bring coffee to everyone. My mother already prepared everything so I grabbed the coffee tray and served The cups to everyone and my heart started to beat even more faster when I reached him. But he looked normally without any special expressions.

Other than Rajesh uncle family the guy who is with Vikram in the cloth shop was also there and also a couple like Mr and Mrs Rajesh. Then Rajesh uncle introduced them as his younger brother his wife and the guy is their son Raghav.

Then everyone stood up asked me to stand beside Vikram, Rajesh uncle picked the velvet box from his bag and gave that to vikram, he then opened the box and taken the ring.

He looked at me and I was very nervous, excited, feared and then He grabbed my hand and put the ring on my finger. Now I am engaged to Mr Vikram.....

After this everyone congratulated and laughed, Raghav bought a camera so he took pictures of everyone and he asked vikram to hold my hand for the perfect picture, I thought he's gonna hesitate but he didn't he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me closer, oh god this is so embarrassing because everyone is watching us Raghav asked me to smile wider then I tried my best level to make that.

The rest of the evening where everyone talking about Vikram's new construction in Chennai and how he was busy in that. I keep constantly staring at him I wondered why he didn't talked with me in the shop and I also admired his look, he was damn gorgeous and very handsome but I can't help but keep staring at him. Then Riya asked me to shift my eyes because everyone is watching me, then I turned over.

Vikram was sitting on the dinning chair and he was talking with my dad. Riya's parents where talking with Raghav parents and everyone is discussing about marriage, then suddenly Riya's mom asked the age of vikram he replied but I was shocked,because we're having a age gap of about 8 years. Then he looked at me, so I shifted my eyes to Riya and she's also surprised she said ,

"I thought he must be 26 or 27 but not 31 Rithu",we looked at vikram he's looking so young I said to riya and she nodded.

Then they'll stood up to leave, Vikram bought blessings from my grandmother and she was very happy about me for Going to marry a man like Vikram then he approached me and said bye to me, "bye" I replied with a smile. Rajesh uncle said goodbye and aunty hugged me and said bye, also she gave her number to call her. Then everyone said their goodbyes and went outside.

By giving one last look, Vikram got inside his Audi car and left and I took a deep breath out of relief.

After some time Riya's family also left and I asked my grandma to stay in our home and she also accepted.Then I went to my room and looked in the mirror and thought about Vikram and there is something that makes my heart to beat faster and I never felt this kind of strange feeling.
