Lily climbed out of the twisted metal death trap gritting her teeth from all the pain that was channeling through her body. She placed her chest and stomach on the door and rolled off landing on the grassy ground with a thud. She hit her head causing her to yelp and groan in pain. She laid there for a few minutes attempting to gain some strength and fight through the pain. She looked over to see Todd on the ground. She reached an arm forward.
"Todd." she nudged him. "Todd?"
She had assisted him out of the car when she first woke up as she found his body contorted on her. She dragged herself over to him using her upper body to pull her legs over.
"Todd?" her voice cracked as she shook him again. "Come on, wake up." she said.
Todd's body was motionless. "Please Todd, you can't do this to me." She rolled him slightly only to see that his neck had been snapped. She covered her mouth quickly to keep herself from screaming out at the dead body before her.
The only other dead body she had ever witnessed in life was her father's mother, Nan, who looked so much more peaceful in her casket than Todd did with bloody and bruised body.
"I'm sorry, Todd. I'm so sorry." she cried into his shirt.
She laid there in a stupor unsure of what to do. She could only hear Winston's warning in her head to get off the island. Regret filled her chest, she had some part in this without even realizing it.
She finally pushed herself up shakily to her feet. Her ankle was screaming but she kept pushing herself back to the destroyed vehicle. She opened it up and grabbed her radio only to find it smashed it from the crash.
"Dammit!"
Then she heard interference and muffled voices in the car. Todd's radio. She climbed in and searched for it frantically until she found it tossed in the back seat.

She grabbed it and slammed her thumb down on the button. "Hello!?" she called into it. "Hello?! Can anyone hear me?"
She didn't get an answer. She could feel the hot tears stream down her face as she broke down falling out of the car with the radio beside her. Her ankle was turning a dark purple along with all the other bruises covering her body. Her forehead stung from the cut she received before they were tossed over the cliff.
Her hair was matted in blood, her clothes were ripped, as she sat there in defeat looking over at Todd's still body.
She grabbed the radio again. "Please, someone help!" she yelled angrily into the radio.
"Lily?!"
Jennifer was sitting with Lowery who was attempting to comfort her after she had lost her best friend. People including workers were evacuating the island currently.
"I can still hear her." Jennifer said softly.
"I know, I think I can hear her too." Lowery said sadly.
"It's understandable with loss-" Vivian began.
"No,' Lowery said, "I can actually hear her."
He stood up and pulled his radio out of his pocket turning it up louder.
"Please, someone help!" Lily's voice yelled through the radio. Jennifer jumped up.
"Lily!" she screamed into it.
"Jennifer! Oh thank goodness."
"Lily, where are you guys? Are you okay?"
"No, we're not okay. Todd's dead."
Jennifer and the others gasped.
"Where are you, Lily?" she asked.
"I don't know, we were on the main road, and that fuckin' dinosaur came out of nowhere and just rammed us over a cliff. "We didn't get that far from the enclosure."
"I'm coming to get you. Stay put." Jennifer said.
"I don't have much of an option." Lily said.
Jennifer grabbed her keys.
"You can't go out there." Lowery told her.
"She's my best friend and she's hurt. I have to go out there."
"You can get hurt..." he jumped in front of her.

"I can't leave her out there Lowery."
"Then, I'm going with you." he said.
She stopped before looking around the control room. "You can't. Someone needs to stay here." she told him with a small smile. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek before running out of the room.
Lowery stood there for a moment, before Mr. Masrani cleared his throat.
"It's time we put an end to this." he said before leaving.
Jennifer drove trying to get in contact with Owen and Claire but they weren't responding. After a few minutes, she saw Mr. Masrani's helicopter fly over the tree tops. She made it to the road heading to the enclosure and got out of the car.
"Lily!" she called out. "Lily!"
She trotted up the road continuing to call out for the woman.
"Lily!"
"Jennifer!" she heard Lily's voice. Jennifer peered down to see the crashed park vehicle and Lily lying against it. "I'm coming down."
She began to climb down nearly falling a couple of times before she was able to jump down and run over.
"Oh gosh, Lily!" she hugged her tightly. "You're alive!"
"Yeah.." Lily's eyes faltered. Jennifer looked over and saw Todd's body on the ground.
"He must have snapped his neck when he were rolling down the cliff side." Lily said.
"There was nothing you could do Lily. But we have to get out of here right now, you're bleeding all over!"
Jennifer helped Lily to her feet as Lily nearly fell over on her bad ankle. She cursed loudly.
They had to climb up the cliff with Lily's broken ankle.
"We can do this." Jennifer said determinedly pulling Lily along as they climbed up the rocky ledge. Lily put all her weight on one leg and used most of her upper body to pull her along with Jennifer's help.
They finally reached the top. "I'm going to get the car, I'll be right back!"
Jennifer pulled up a few minutes later and they headed back to the main center.
"It still hasn't been contained?!" Lily asked bewildered.
"No." Jennifer shook it's head.
"Where's Owen?" she asked.
"He went out with Claire to find her nephews, haven't heard much from them since." she said.
Lily shook her head.
Claire and Owen had barely dodged the incoming attack of the Indominus Rex as it slammed into the car attempting to get them as they had found their way to the Jurassic Park ruins. They took note that the boys had been there and managed to get an old car up and running. But now they were fighting for their own lives as they ran from the large aggressive and highly intelligent carnivore. Suddenly, a helicopter flew over head. distracting the dinosaur.
There was a glimpse of hope but it was shattered as the Indominus Rex crashed into the Aviary releasing all the avian dinosaurs. They attacked the helicopter that spun out of control and burst into flames upon impact.
"We have to go." Owen said as they took off running. The Pteranodons and the Dimorphodons took to the skies heading straight for Main Street.
Jennifer hopped out and helped Lily out as they arrived only to see the Pterosaurs darken the sky.
"Dr. Goodwin!" Lily turned to see Zach and Gray that ran over with Zara. "What do we do?"
The dinosaurs were swooping in landing and ripping at tourists.
"We need to get off these streets." Lily said. Jennifer had her leaning against her as Zach helped her on the other side when Zara was suddenly yanked from the ground.
"Zara!"
Zara screamed and thrashed as the Pteranodon struggled with it's fighting prey. It flew over the Mosasaurus. The group watched in horror as the Mosasaurus took a leap out of the water and swallowing the Pteranodon and Zara whole.
No one moved as if time had stopped before them. Lily took a step forward and nearly tripped over something. She looked down to see her book, God Creates Dinosaurs.

Sound and Fury - Book 1 of The Rhapsodic Troubadour
Barely average, meek chunk of a human, Dominic, wakes up one day to find that he's been transported to another realm of life, and is being hunted by minions of a Dark God who wants him for... nefarious purposes. This is a LitRPG work in progress. I welcome feedback.

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
