The donut shop.

It had just opened, the light from the neon sign lighting up the otherwise dim street. I put the can back in my duffel bag and caught my breath. Me and Tae shared a look before walking calmly to the place that held so many memories for us.

We were greeted with an employee we recognized. Tae ordered our "usual" and accompanied me sitting down at our usual booth.

I just looked at him while sipping my coffee, the scene a bit mundane.

He winked at me from the corner of his eye and I rolled mine, shoving his side.

It's funny how when you know someone for long enough you can tell what they're thinking with a simple glance.

Tae nodded his head to the door and I nodded, waving to the tired employee as we left. I threw my empty cup away, and started licking my fingers.

I felt my wrist being grabbed before my hand could reach my mouth, and I looked up to see Tae.

He was bringing my hand up to his own mouth, probably prepared to lick the frosting off himself. I rolled my eyes yet again and smeared a bit on his nose before pulling my hand away, licking the frosting off my own fingers.

He pouted and I kissed the chocolate off his nose, lightening his mood.

The sirens had halted, and we walked back to the car. He unlocked the old vehicle and we got inside. Not a word was shared as I turned on the radio, Queen playing at top volume.

We sang together as I anticipated our next location, my heart rate accelerating with every mile we drove.

Could it possibly be...

The beach..?
