《Muichiro Tokito x Reader》Chapter 16 New Friend or New Foe...

Recap :
~ Still Muichiro's POV ~
It felt like I was running for hours, however it's nothing a mist pillar can't handle. I stopped running to see that Y/N's foot prints stopped here. I looked up to see Mitsuri's estate in its rosy pink aesthetic. I walked up the steps to the door and was about to knock on the door when another hand grabbed my wrist, stopping me in doing so.
"Don't. You. Dare. Open that door Tokito." the person said as a white snake slithered onto my arm.
"Why not Iguro? I need to see her." I replied, tugging on my wrist trying to break free from his grip.
"You've already hurt her enough Tokito. Get lost." Iguro said, letting go of my wrist and shoving me off the porch.
Iguro walked inside, shutting the door behind him. I walked up to the door and placed my ear onto it.
" Don't worry Y/N-chan ! There are so many other people that are just as good, maybe even better than Tokito-san !" I hear Kanroji-san tell Y/N who seems to stay quiet.
I decided to go back to my estate, not wanting to eavesdrop more on their conversation.
~ Time Skip to the Next Day ~
I was walking towards where I normally train when I heard someone already there. I quickened my pace and saw Y/N training, but something seemed off about them.
"Tokito-san, what are you doing here? Oh, were you going to train? I'll be leaving now" she told me, picking up the wooden sword she used.
I couldn't let her leave, I grabbed her wrist but she just kept on walking. How much strength does she even have??? She didn't seem to notice that she was dragging me back to her estate so I decided to not say anything. It took a while to get to her place but when we arrived, before she could open the door I used my other hand to stop her from opening the door.
"Oh Tokito-san. I didn't notice you here, is something wrong?" she asked, she won't even turn around...
"I just wanted to spend time with you." I said, now holding her hand.
"Just hangout with that other girl you were with. Maybe she would be better company." she bluntly replied, as she yanked her wrist out of my grip and walked into her estate.
She slammed the door shut while I was trying to pry it open.
3rd person POV
All week Muichiro was trying to reach Y/N in any way possible, but his path was always blocked by one of the other Hashira and even the twins at the Ubuyashiki estate helped Y/N. Which proved to be a problem for Muichiro.
"No Tokito, you can't go see Y/N. They got their memories back and this is how you treated her?" Iguro said.

Y/N is presently on a mission with the Mist Hashira at the moment to go to a nearby village that has been attacked by a demon for some time now. It was a silent walk to the train station until Mist Hashira spoke up.
"Hey um Y/N, I wanted to talk to you about something."
"What is it and make it quick, I don't have all day." she answered harshly.
"I just wanted to say that it wasn't what it looked like with the low ranker. I didn't even know what she was going to do." the boy confessed with a more gentle gaze.
"Ok, it doesn't matter to me." the girl responded with the same bored expression.
Y/N started to speed up noticing the time and the time their train would depart. However Muichiro thought she just wanted to get away from him and started sprinting after her. At the train station, Muichiro realized that he forgot to bring his ticket.
"Hey um Y/N?"
"What now?" she answered, annoyed.
"I might have forgotten my train ticket back at the estate." he said, poking his two index fingers together.
"Ok you can walk then." Y/N said, walking towards the entrance of the train.
~ Time Skip to after the train fiasco ~
2nd POV
The two Hashiras finally (mostly Muichiro) arrived at the small village with the Mist Hashira gasping for air.
"Was it necessary*gasp* to make me*gasp* run all*gasp* they way*gasp* here" the Mist Hashira said, gasping for air.
You just ignored him and walked to one of the closest inns in the village.(more like the only inn)
"Good evening I'd like 2 rooms please." you said to the young man working at the reception.
He looked really tired and stressed for some reason, You thought.
"P-please j-just don't stay here. Heck d-don't stay in this village especially at night." the poor man said, shaking.
"What happens at night?"
"W-well people just started disappearing one by one every night for a week now, they didn't even come back yet !" the man exclaimed.
"I see, thank you for the information." you said, walking away towards the door.
"So did you get us a room or some information?" Muichiro asked, catching up to you.
"You can find some information yourself." you said, jumping onto a nearby roof.
You waited on the roof for a while now, until you felt the aura of a demon. One that has eaten many humans. You ran towards the source, only to find the demon staring at you. As if it was waiting for you.
"Well well well, the Demon Slayer Corps sent me some more food." the demon said, sticking her long tongue out.
"I'm afraid this will be your end." you readied your blade in a fighting stance.

"Hm, then let's have some funds before your obvious demise. Blood Demon Art : Cutting Blades !" the demon shouted, swinging their claws around.
"Ghost Breathing sixth form : Ghost" you performed, as the demon and it's attacks goes through you. You were able to cut off one of its legs and one of its arms during that short moment.
"What was that ?!?" the demon shrieked, now on the ground taking a while regenerating their lost limbs.
You stayed silent and walked to the demon, nichirin blade ready to strike when a small child popped up in front of you.
"Stop ! Please don't hurt them, they weren't the one taking the people in the village, it was protecting it." the girl pleaded in tears.
You looked towards the little girl.
"What makes you think a man eating monster would protect the village."
"She isn't the only one ! There's another other that looks exactly like them taking the village people. They've been fighting every now and then." the girl explained.
"Ooooo you're quite the observer little girl~" another voice said, slightly similar to the one that told you about eating the other low ranked demon slayers.
A demon that looked exactly like the one you were fighting for a while now climbed down from the tree behind you.
"I see, I apologize for making such a careless mistake. I will now take down the imposter."
"Wait, please let me assist you !" the demon next to the human girl said, their eyes showing sincerity.
"Fine. But don't get in my way of killing the demon."you said in a bitter tone, running off aiming for the demon's head.
"Haha you seem bold to go for my head directly !" the demon said in a cocky laugh.
You ignored him and the helping demon boosted you upward. The demon was getting prepared for you to directly slice it's neck but you jumped over their head, giving it a slash from behind.
The demon was left there just stunned with their pupils slightly widening. The other demon turned back into a young lady with fair white hair with a traditional white kimono with red lacing.
"How can you cut off my head you damn demon slayer !" the demon said slowly disintegrating into dust.
You couldn't care less and turned to the demon woman hugging the little girl who was crying with tears of joy.
"Thank you for your help, miss. I think now you need to cut my head off too. Knowing that I'm a demon." the woman said, standing up with tears threatening to fall and the small child clinging onto her leg.
I looked at her with sympathy and sheathed my sword.
"Have you broken the curse Muzan placed on you?" I asked the demon.
"I haven't found a solution to do so yet, but I've been trying to. However, I've managed to conquer the sun thanks to an old text book I found." the demon said, handing you the book.
"Thank you and you want to protect this village, correct?"
"Yes I do." the demon replied.
"Alright then you will need to pass a test back at the corps and I know someone who can remove Muzan's curse on you." (let's say you know Tamayo)
"Thank you so much !" demon said, carrying the little girl in her arms.
You both walk back to the village when you see a small figure running, more like sprinting, towards you. The figure flung them self onto you, hugging you like a koala.
"Where were you ! I was so worried." the boy that you recognize as the Mist Hashira said, crying into your shoulder.
"I defeated the demon? Which is the whole purpose of us being here." you said, looking at him like he's a moron.
"Wait..." Muichiro let go of me and held a defensive stance, about to draw his sword.
"You didn't kill the demon...IT'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU !" he shouted, about to swing his blade at the demon behind you with the child looking at the scene with wide eyes.
You quickly stood in front of the demon blocking his attack with your katana. You were able to spin your sword upwards, making him let go and lose his sword. He looked at you in shock.
"Why would you do that... that demon would eat you whole right about now." he protested.
"I've explained everything to Oyakata-sama already. We'll be heading to the corps now." you answered, without giving him an explanation.
The demon, still frightened by Muichiro's outburst, closely followed behind you along with the little girl.
~ Time Skip to when you're at the corps ~
You walked onto the white stoned path with the demon, who's now carrying the sleeping child in her arms, going in the direction to Oyakata-sama's house. Muichiro just kept following behind them. Once they arrived, Oykata-sama was already there as if he was waiting for us, most likely for our report.
"Y/N, my dear child, how was the mission?" Oyakata-sama asked you, once you the demon and Muichiro bowed to him.
"I have a demon who would like a trial, they haven't eaten any humans but instead they protected them. They have also conquered the sun." you reported, now looking up at him.

Two Existentialists | S.R.
"How many existentialists does it take to screw a lightbulb?" Spencer asked with a small laugh. Once again the room was silent. You faintly heard Agent Rossi mutter, "Don't.""2. One to change the light bulb and one to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness," he said. The room was silent still, until you laughed. His eyes looked up at yours in confusion. "Wouldn't they sit in the dark and hope that the bulb decided to light again? An existentialist would never change the bulb. He would allow the darkness to exist," you questioned.-#1 #spencerreid#1 #mgg#1 emilyprentiss
