《With You (A Kamijirou Fanfic)》Chapter 7

(Denki's POV)
I stopped to catch my breath after running 50 laps around the park. Training sure is tiring, but it'll be worth it.... eventually. A certain girl came into mind. What's she doing right now? Wonder if she came up with an answer to my confession yet.
It's just about lunch time, I should stop by a café and grab a bite, maybe buy some coffee for Kyoka? Yeah, that sounds good!
As I entered the cafe I noticed a boy with striking violet hair, looking pretty tired despite the amount of caffeine he seemed to have indulged. I call out to him, having recognised my friend from class C.
"Hiya, Shinsou! Whatcha doing here?" I asked, waving.
"Oh, it's you, Kaminari," He nodded in my direction. "What brings you here?"
"Lunch, I was nearby, so I thought it'd be easier to get a bite on the way back. Can I join you?"
"Sure, could use the company."
Shinsou is a little dull sometimes and had a bit of a cold attitude but he's a good friend and I really admire his determination to join the hero course despite people looking down on him because of his villain-like quirk, it's not his fault he's born with it.
I ordered a burger with miso soup (a weird combination but it actually tastes good, to me at least), some lemon tea and a coffee for Kyoka. I'll drop by her dorm later when I get back.
It was getting awfully quiet, so I decided to make some small talk.
"So, how's the progress with getting into the hero course?" I inquired.
Shinsou chugged down his remaining coffee and shrugged. "Not too bad, I'm getting there. Aizawa sensei might let me join your class, if I'm lucky."

"Good luck then," I smiled, giving him a thumbs up.
"I'm gonna take my leave now. See you," Shinsou stated, looking at his watch.
"Yup, bye then!" I continued chowing down my food. Better head back to the dorms soon before Kyoka's pumpkin spice latte gets cold.
~~~~~~
(Jirou's POV)
I was studying with Momo in my dorm, namely algebra and physics. Math. It just doesn't make sense to me, who invented it anyway? I pouted in frustration as I tried to solve a very complicated problem. Momo peeked over my shoulder at my progress, then picked up my worksheet and frowned as she examined it.
"No, no, Kyoka-chan. You should move the 'x' there, then you substitute the 'z' with your answer from the previous step here," Momo pointed out, marking the parts I'm supposed to correct with her pencil.
"I freakin' hate math," I growled, irritated. "It doesn't make sense. It's nonsense and unnecessary."
Momo put a hand on my shoulder. "There, there, it takes practice and patience. It's important for your future, for money, accounting, loans, salaries, budgeting-" I stopped her there. I don't really want to hear any more about math and money. Yaomomo has it easy, being born with a silver spoon in her mouth and she could probably create money with her quirk if she wanted to.
I flopped onto a chair, feeling tired and stressed... I could kill for some coffee right now, maybe a nice pumpkin spice latte. I bolted up as soon a I heard knocking on the door and opened it to reveal Denki who shot me a bright grin. I tried to suppress my giggles... he looked like a puppy! That was merged with Pikachu. A Pikapup?
"Heya, Kyoka! Yaoyorozu," He smiled, then noticed the stack of books overflowing from my desk. "You guys studying?"
"Yeah, math," I said, feeling frustrated all over again. "It's all bogus."
Denki gave a slight chuckle. "Yeah, I can relate, it's all an alien language to me. Oh yeah, here." He pushed a cup of coffee into my hands. "Pumpkin spice latte's your favorite, right? I was at a café for lunch and I thought you might want some coffee."
"Yeah, I love it, thank you. Are you my guardian angel?"
The blond boy flushed, making me blush realizing what I just said. "I-i, mean, uh...!" I tried explaining but my mouth couldn't seem to even form a proper sentence.
"Heh, maybe I am," he said, nervously rubbing the back of his neck. "Do you want to uh, study at a café sometime? I know I'm an idiot and no help at all so you don't have to-"
"Sure, I'm down."
Denki beamed, blinding me with all the sunshine he's radiating. "YEA- I meant, cool!" He gave out an awkward laugh. He cleared his throat. "So how about tomorrow at five, after school? We meet at the common area."
"Alright, sounds perfect" I nodded my head.
"Yay! See you, then," Before I knew it, he gave me a quick kiss on the forehead and left. What. Just. Happened?
I heard a snicker from behind me. I forgot Yaomomo's still here.
"Looks like you're booked for a date with your boyfriend. I'm proud," she gushed, making blood rush to my cheeks.
"Yaomomo! It isn't like that! We aren't an item!"
"Yet."
I pushed her comment aside. "The thing is, I don't even know how I feel about him yet. I've never thought of him than more than a friend 'til he confessed to me!"
Momo rested her hands on my shoulders. "Kyoka-chan, you need to figure out what you feel, and soon. Who knows, he might be snatched away by someone else by the time you make a decision," she scolded.
"I'll try, Momo." I sighed in defeat.
"Great! Now, where were we? Don't you think I forgot about studying." She sat down and started writing down problems for me to solve.
The whole world just decided to turn against me, huh?
(Shinsou' POV)
Aizawa Sensei: Your hard work paid off. Fill in the paperwork and give it to me tomorrow. I'll be expecting you in my class tomorrow, don't be late.
I looked at the text that was just delivered to my phone. I've been a class C student for almost two years now, but not anymore. I've finally done it, I'm now officially a student in the hero course.
I raised the form to my face to inspect the tiny printing and filled in the fields and signed my signature. I'll be transferring to class A tomorrow. No more being seen as a villain. No more being teased for my quirk. Best of all, I'll be seeing more of the person I love. Kaminari Denki.
I've had a crush on him since the day we were teamed up for the Joint Training Battle. He's one of the first people that ever supported me and even defended me when I was picked on by that Bakugou kid, though I can handle him myself. Kaminari even thought my quirk was cool. It made me happy that I was able to see him today.
I glanced at a selfie we took together last year.
"I can't wait for tomorrow, Kaminari."
The Dungeon of Evolution
The greatest mage and researcher in the universe, Ian Irwin, known to only his closest friends died at far too young an age. For their own goals and to give the mage another chance at life, the Gods and Goddesses reincarnated him into a dungeon. Most would shudder at the thought, in fact Ian did, but not for the same reasons. The plants, animals, fungi, and monsters that inhabited dungeons fascinated Ian in a way nothing besides his wife had. Ian had studied everything he could about dungeons and now he could be one. Traumatising Content: Besides the purpose of dungeons, the presenting of evil morals as a positive is not present in this novel. Evil morals themselves, however, are present. Combined with the gore tag, there will be imagery present that could be considered traumatising. The absence of the sexual content tag means there will be no scenes of that nature. I, the author, apologize to any previous readers that, due to my previous clarification, read the story with the belief that scenes of disturbing imagery would not be present.
I initially wanted to make it shorter but minimum 100 words for description so here is author note to hopefully use up the 100 words XD. Btw this is the first description i have ever wrote so i don't expect it to be good but hopefully its acceptable. :D
Heartbreak Town (COMPLETED)
Reagan Renne Walker left the tiny town that she grew up in in Wyoming five years ago to fulfill her dream of opening an equine therapy ranch in Montana & to start a new life. Reagan's parents died when she was just seven years old. Mallory, Reagan's older sister, was still too young to care for both herself and her sister. As a result, Reagan and Mallory were forced to live with their grandparents. Mamaw and Papaw Walker sent both girls through school and college. Reagan never imagined leaving Wyoming. However, after her unexpected relationship with Swayde, her childhood best friend, and love of her life, took a turn for the worst, all Reagan could think about was that she couldn't get out of Wyoming fast enough. Swayde is your typical, rugged cowboy. His smile was enough to melt any girls heart, his eyes made it seem like the sun was always shining, even in the worst storm, his square jaw line accented his dark beard, his body thick with muscles. His physical features and build were intimidating at times, and didn't always match his laid back, easy going, gentlemanly personality. Swayde never thought he would fall for feisty Reagan, and even more so, Reagan never thought that she would fall for him. They end up in this unexpected whirlwind relationship, and everything is hunky dory until Reagan finds out a secret from Swayde's past that would forever change the way she looked at him; a secret he kept from her for over ten years. Confiding in her grandma, Reagan finds out that her grandparents knew the secret all along too. How could the people she thought loved her hurt her so bad and keep this big of a secret from her for so long? When tragedy strikes back in Wyoming, Reagan is forced to move back to the town she swore she would never step boot in again, thus leaving her new life in Montana behind. Through God, can Reagan find a way to forgive the people who hurt her, or will she forever consider Alpine Ridge "Heartbreak Town?"
