《With You (A Kamijirou Fanfic)》Chapter 21

Kyoka was seated behind a wall, constructed by Cementoss, quietly waiting for a signal from her teammates and ready to carry out the strangely genius plan her usually dumb-for-days boyfriend. It nearly made her laugh from how unlike him the idea sounded.
*Flashback*
Team 4 huddled together for a quick strategy meeting.
"So, what's the strategy?" Kirishima whispered.
Bakugou smirked. "It's obvious, Shitty Hair, you be my shield and we can go all out." Kyoka rolled her eyes. That plan just threw pretty much the whole idea of "team" away. Might as well the team be called Team KiriBaku.
"Then....what about the rest of us?" Hiryu asked, pretty much appalled at the idea.
"You can go with Dunce and Hyper Blast here," Bakugou shrugged, pointing at Denki and the "energy girl", Aito Chiaki (My OC, all rights reserved). "And Earphones can be our ears."
"Hyper Blast....is that me, Bakugou-kun?" Aito asked, pointing at herself. Kyoka realised how similar she was to one of the former students and a well respected senpai, Hadou Nejire. Aito's voice was light and airy and if you overlook that supposedly calm demeanour of her's she could be mistaken for Nejire's little sister from how chipper she was. If Kyoka remembered, Denki was all over Nejire when she was first introduced to the class. Kyoka stole a glance at the blonde boy next to her who was unexpectedly sparing not even a glance at Aito but instead was deep in thought.
Denki snapped his fingers. "I've got it! It's perfect!"
"What? You've thought of something, Kaminari?" Kirishima asked. Almost everyone knew by now that 10 percent of the things Denki came up with was pure genius. The other 90 percent of the time was pure crap. (Did anyone catch the reference? Let me know in the comments if you did =o^o=)

Denki gestured for the group to come closer and whispered something.
Kyoka was stunned for a second but then cracked a smile. "Denki...that might actually work!"
~~~~~~
A series of tapping could be heard through the ground. Morse code. From how loud the tapping was, Kyoka could tell it was Bakugou who was stationed on the east side. An opponent is approaching was the signal he sent over. Nodding to no one in particular, Kyoka quickly sent over a signal towards the "lasers" or rather Aito and Denki who were concealed nearby.
The lightning quirk user had already prepped his projectiles in advance while Aito, who was nervously bouncing on her heels had absorbed an ample amount of energy from the sun (and maybe got carried away and sucked a nearby tree of its energy, causing it to wither) to last her a few hours.
A guy from Team 2 wandered into their territory. Injecting her cords into the ground, Kyoka sent out a large heartbeat blast, strong enough to catch the poor guy off guard, but not enough to seriously injure him. Even though Denki's strategy was smarter than the ones he usually came up with, it still came out with a handful of risks. But that's what heroes do everyday, risking their lives to protect others. There is no such thing as a perfect plan. Kyoka was certain that in a few moments, the other teams will come rushing over, having given away their current position. That means, they have to get this done and over with and relocate, ASAP.
Aito's quirk operated in a way Kyoka didn't quite expect. Releasing a bunch of enrgy, Aito had sent the guy bouncing through the air. His face shifted to an expression of relief when he landed, but oh no, that wasn't the end of his nightmare. Aito had made sure to land him into the spot where Denki had positioned his projectiles.
"Bullseye."
~~~~~~
"And finally, first place goesss toooo....TEAM 7!! Congratulations!"
Bakugou huffed as he remorsefully (at least that was how Denki worded it, his face does not look one bit remorseful) glanced at the stage. Although they had tied the loose ends, Bakugou and Midoriya still see each other as rivals.
Denki patted the bitter boy's shoulder. "No worries, Kacchan! We can get the next one! Second place isn't that bad!" He smiled, completely dense towards the added insult he just gave him. Everyone, please put your hands together and pray, for Kaminari Denki has chosen death.
Seeing the danger her idiotic boyfriend was in, Kyoka hurriedly yanked him out of the storm's way and ran as fast as she could. Damned Denki, Kyoka cursed, under her tongue.
The students who passed the first game, were either lounging on the grass and refreshing themselves or they're still pumped, stretching and ready to completely flatten the next event. The next "Big Three" in line, Bakugou, Midoriya and Todoroki were not an exception.
Kyoka and Denki plopped themselves onto the grass, almost inhaling the bottles of Pocari Sweat they had with them. Kyoka felt a little conflicted as she recalled the Sports Festival from the year before. "Hey, Denks."
Denki hummed in response, notifying her that he was all ears.
"If we happened to be competing each other, please don't do what you did last year. That's all I ask of you."
At first, the boy was a little lost for words. What was she trying to say? It took almost all of his brain cells but he finally caught on and recalled the happenings of when they were first years.
"How 'bout we go out to eat after the Sports Festival is over? I'll comfort you if you like, because this match will go down in a few seconds!"
"For real, dude, I don't know how you're able to aim such a powerful blast at a frail girl like that. I couldn't help but hold back at Shiozaki."
He'd been taking the girls lightly and underestimating them, Denki realised. He smirked, feeling a little appalled at himself. Kyoka was indeed strong, and he knew it. He trusted her to be able to put up a good fight. "Sure, just because you're my girlfriend doesn't mean I'll hold back for ya! I'll go all out!" he said, a somewhat pathetic excuse for an evil smile spread across his face, giving her a thumbs up. In reality, Denki was dying inside. He didn't want to even give her as much as a scratch. But if this was what his girl wanted, this was what his girl would get. Kirishima wouldn't shut up about how manly Denki was if he wasn't busy consecutively doing a 1000 push ups.
Kyoka smiled, satisfied with the response. "May the best person win, Kaminari Denki."
