The wedding took place three months after the proposal in a small church, which Elle and her team prepared and planned. Penny acts as her maid of honor, Bea and Elle as her bridesmaids. Only their close friends and relatives are invited for she wants it to be as private as possible. Their reception was held at a garden near the church, Claire's happiness was unbounded at how the wedding turned out, though rush and there had been some last minute adjustments and preparation, it became a dream wedding, her dream wedding.

They left even when the dancing was still in full swing with Lucas' reason that their family will not mind them leaving early for it is already the start of their honeymoon, so she let it slide and agreed with him. They will spend their first night at a hotel before they will travel to west coast where they plan to stay for their official honeymoon, as what her brothers teasingly said.

Claire woke up at the incessant ringing of her phone, the clock said it is only two in the morning and Lucas is sound asleep at her side. She never like receiving a call at this wee hour for it screams bad news and the call is giving her an ill-feeling, that she will not like what the person on the other side will tell her. But what good will it bring if she will not answer it?

Her brother Zach's name was on the caller id, so she proceeded to answer it.

"Hello."

"Claire..." was only her brother's response before she heard him sniff, as if he is crying. She never heard or saw him cry since he became a teenager, so the situation is giving her a bad omen.

"What is it Zach? Are you crying?"

What her brother said next brought her a bone-chilling sensation, she didn't noticed when the call ended or what other things Zach told her, she only took notice herself screaming when Lucas is shaking her into senses.

"Sweetheart what is it?" But instead of answering, another bouts of crying came from her, which made Lucas gathered her into his arms and rocking her. And in between sniff and hiccups, she was able to tell the bad news.

"Lucas, it's Penny...she got into an accident...and...and...she's...she's DEAD."
