《When I'm with You》Extra: Alternate confession

Bennett held Razor's hand as they made their way up to the rooftop. Razor opened the door for the two of them and allowed Bennett to walk in front of him.
Bennett looked around in awe at the dimly lit pool on one side and a greenhouse on the other. "It's so pretty.." He murmured.
Razor nodded before pointing to the pool.
"Oh. I didn't bring a swimsuit." Bennett frowned looking down at his sweatpants.
Razor didn't seem to mind as he approached the stairs of the pool and took off his socks and shoes, rolling up his pants and looking at Bennett.
"Oh!" Bennett followed suit, removing his socks and shoes and placing them next to Razor's. The taller male stepped onto the second step of the stairs and reached a hand out for Bennett.
"Thank you." He smiled and took two careful steps, holding tightly onto Razor.
"Sit." Razor spoke, sitting on the edge of the pool.
Bennett sat beside him. For a moment the two boys sat there, swinging their feet in the water gently and Bennett humming occasionally.
Razor turned to face Bennett, admiring the glow of the pool lights and the reflection of the waves on Bennett's face.
"So pretty." He murmured, snapping Bennett out of his thoughts and making the boy turn to face him.
"Hm?"
"Y-you're so pretty." Razor stammered.
Bennett grimaced for a slight second before smiling at Razor. For a second.. I thought he was flirting with me.. Bennett thought.
"Thank you Razor." He replied somewhat sadly.
There was another moment of silence before Razor just turned to Bennett. "Benny." I'm just going to do it. Razor thought.
"Yes Razor?" Bennett turned to face him, feet no longer swinging in the water.

"I.." This was harder than Razor thought it would be,"I-I like you. Romantically." He spoke, face on fire.
"Really?" Bennett looked at Razor in shock."Like me?"
Razor nodded,"V-Very much... I have for a while now I guess.. I just didn't realize what the feeling was since I've never felt this way about anyone."
Bennett felt himself tear up, he was feeling extremely embarrassed. How come he didn't see this before?
The boy was surprised when he felt a warm hand cup his face and make him look up.
"I like you too.. Romantically.." Bennett murmured.
Razor's eyes widened in surprise,"Seriously?" He asked.
Bennett nodded, and Razor wiped Bennett's few tears away,"I like you a lot."
"Then.. why are you crying?" Razor asked.
"Well.. I wish I had known sooner. I feel stupid." He whispered.
Razor just smiled softly,"It.. doesn't matter. I didn't try to make it obvious on purpose."
Bennett looked down at the pool water.
"Benny.. do you um.. like me enough to k-kiss me or be my boyfriend?" Razir asked shyly, ecstatic to see Bennett nod.
"You'll go on dates with me too?" Razor asked.
"Yes. I will." Bennett replied. "Can I be your boyfriend Razor?" He asked.
Razor nodded, "Yes."
Excitedly, Bennett moved closer to hug Razor and causing a tiny splash in the pool. Razor hugged Bennett back tightly, rubbing the male's back before pulling away,"Do you.. want to kiss?" Bennett asked shyly.
Razor nodded, quickly looking at Bennett's lips before looking back up at Bennett's eyes. The two of them leaned in, pecking each other on the lips gently and staying there for a moment before they both pulled away.
They both blushed.

"I don't know how to kiss." Razor admitted.
"Me either." At that the two boys stared at each other before laughing,"Try again?" Bennett suggested, and Razor agreed, the two of them leaning in and kissing again. This time Bennett parted his lips slightly and the kiss only became messier.
They both pulled away, breathing a bit hard after not inhaling oxygen for that short while.
"We can get better." Bennett smiled.
"Yeah." Razor replied, grabbing Bennett's hand and holding it gently. It was then, Razor remembered the item in his pocket. Maybe it's too soon.. He thought before just deciding to go with it. "Bennett."
"Yes." He looked at Razor shyly.
"I actually had something for you." He responded. Reaching into his pocket.
Bennett curiously watched Razor pull out a box and hand it to him.
"Oh? What is it?" Bennett opened it and saw a beautiful necklace there. "Razor.." He frowned.
"You don't like it?" He panicked.
"I love it." Bennett whined. "You're doing better than me as a boyfriend right now." He looked up at Razor,"Put it on?"
Razor gently placed the necklace around the boy's neck, admiring the reflection of the gold with the pool lights housing off of it.
"How does it look?" Bennett asked.
"Almost as beautiful as you." Razor murmured honestly without thinking.
Bennett huffed and turned away to hide his face.
"Sorry." Razor realized what he has said.
"It's cute. But my heart just can't handle it." He blushed.
"Oh." Razor smiled at the effect he had on Bennett,"You'll get used to it." He spoke.
Bennett smiled,"Okay, okay." He scooted closer and rested his head on Razor's shoulder while holding the male's hand.
He didn't mind getting used to this.

Comment what other tiny shorts you might like to read and maybe I'll write it for the two of them
・:*:・
When I wrote the first confession scene I actually forgot about the necklace which is why I brought it back with the date chapter. It was because I had been distracted by school and forgot my own minor details, which is why I added it here, where it rightfully belonged.

By the wayyy!! This is the AFTER then the BEFORE of the haikyuu reference, because initially ppl jus didn't get it 🧍🏾♀️but it was vague so I made it specific.

Kind’s Kiss
MAGIC DOESN'T KILL, NOT BY ITSELF. IT NEEDS A LITTLE HELP. Jessica DeRidder is a substitute teacher and mage in hiding, her daughter Ellen a killer on the run. Their next job lands the mother-daughter team in Hellhole, a small town in the middle of nowhere. All they need to do is their job. For Mom to identify the problem, and for Ellen to... fix it. Easy. Simple. But not this time. The pair find themselves caught in the struggle between the Man-in-White and the Wicked Witch of the West. A mysterious image and the theft of a deadly flower lead the pair to a score of dead prisoners, magical drug dealers, and red-eyed assassins falling from the sky. And somehow it all seems to be related to Ellen's murky past. All Ellen wants to do is do her homework, eat ice cream, and protect her newfound friends (not necessarily in that order). She'll go all-in, guns blazing. But when the smoke clears there may be nothing left but a stranger's past and a lonely future. --- 'Kind's Kiss' is a light, modern-day fantasy, easy on the magic, heavy on the snark. Though complete it is still a work in progress. One reviewer described it as 'Buffy meets Sabrina, as done by Tarantino'. I'm still not sure if I should consider that a compliment or hire a hitman :-)

Right Side of Hell
Albus Dumbledore was sure he made the right choice sacrificing an innocent child. Too late he understood how terrible that mistake was. Harry Potter was not what he wanted him to be, he was not what the magical world expected him to be. He was not a replica of James, instead, he inherited more of Lily. Far too much to be convenient.
