Erwin raised both of his eyebrows at the arrival of Mando and both of his captains. His rather large eyebrows, as Levi would say they are, weren't raised out of surprise but confusion with the added companions of the Tin-man. He welcomed them all especially little Mikasa as he meet the little girl not long ago. A little after that, he required to speak with Mando about the circumstances regarding them.

Erwin:"So, may I ask why the extra company you've brought?"

Mando:"We needed a place to stay so I'm sure you'll be more than willing to provide that and in return, you receive my assistance against the titans. I've seen what one of them did against that wall and only my weapon did any damage to it."

Erwin:"A new titan? We have discovered some hardened crystal of sorts from our return back, do you think it was from that?"

Mando:"The thing had armor on head to toe."

Erwin:"I see. Do you think you could go to Hange sometime and provide information about the armored titan? We would be more than happy if we could receive anything from your encounter."

Mando:"Of course."

Erwin:"Excellent, now into your family....they can stay for now but you will soon have to find accommodation in Trost. As you know, this is a military base and isn't very family-friendly towards children."

Mando:"....I accept the condition, thank you."

Erwin:"No problem, I'll let you return back to them but please stop by whenever you have the chance and discuss what you've seen with Hange." Both men nodded and shook hands before they parted ways.

When Mando arrived with the others, they were then given a Scout to act as a guide to lead them to their rooms. Frieda, Carla, and Eren all received one room, Armin and his grandfather received another and lastly, Mando and Mikasa. He left the rest to organize whatever belongings they way have left while he rested. His injury from the Dark Saber prevented him from doing any sort of heavy work such so he was proposed with the idea of teaching Scouts new techniques they may be able to apply. Before he could even attempt that, he was ordered to rest from his little girl.

Mikasa:"Does it still hurt, papa?"

Din:"Yeah, I'll be fine though." He replied and attempted to get up from his bed.

Mikasa:"No, stay." With a surprising amount of strength, she pushed him back down on the bed and covered him with a blanket

Mikasa:"Don't get up...stay." She told him with such a serious face that it made him chuckle. She was confused at first but he explained his little laugh.

Din:"I'm sorry kid, thank you for worrying about me." They both chuckled a bit until someone knocked on their room. Getting up in a hurry, Mikasa went to the door and opened it up to find Eren and Armin right outside.

Eren:"Mikasa! Come with us, there's so many things to see! Captain Levi and his squad are practicing right now, let's go!" The young boy exclaimed in such a hurry that they could barely conceive what he said.

Armin:"Aha...I'm sorry, sir. Eren couldn't hold back his excitement so we rushed down here to see if Mikasa can come with us." All three children looked at the man awaiting an answer.

Mando:"Sure thing, be safe."

Mikasa:"Thank you, papa!"

Excitement sprouted within the young girl as she went to hug her father and get dressed to explore the Scout base. Meanwhile, Mando stayed back to rest and apply some bacta he had left over from his crashed ship to heal his injury. The bacta, in his old universe, was able to heal minor injuries in a short matter. Large amounts of bacta, however, could heal even the most dire of injuries. He needed time to be alone so he could refresh himself and prepare for any missions that Erwin might have.

Zzz...zzz...zzz

Late in the evening, Mando was knocked out getting much needed sleep. In his sleep, he felt something getting up next to him. Slowly reaching for his blaster pistol, he stopped when he heard his daughter's voice.

Mikasa:"Goodnight papa." She whispered thinking he was asleep.

'Heh, goodnight kiddo.' He thought while covering her with the same blanket she covered him with.

Levi:"You're late..."

Mando:"Sorry, had to leave the kid with someone."

Hange:"Aw~, you could've brought little Mikasa here y'know."

Levi:"No, no. He has too many damn things to be doing right now." He told the crazed scientist while pointing to a couple dozen new Scouts that graduated recently.

Hange:"Hah!? You wanna go there, Shorty!"

Mando:"Calm down, please. Levi's right, I need to do what I promised you guys in our agreement. I don't know how much of a help I'll be but I'll do my best."

Erwin:"Excellent, I'm sure a man with your talents will have no issue training this group." Erwin came in to watch the training that will be conducted by the Mandalorian. He's very keen on how he does things and what his clan did as warriors.

Mando:"We'll see..."

The first training exercise consisted of hand-to-hand combat and even some personal spars with the battle hardened warrior. Throughout the exercise, he showed them new arts of combat which a handful of Scouts got down fairly quickly. Some of the veteran Scouts even found it interesting and wanted to better themselves so they, too, joined in. The next session was one of rifle marksmanship, even though the Scouts rarely used rifles, he thought it would be best to have a small platoon of riflemen to be able to do hit-and-run tactics on titans while still using the ODM gear to get around. If this idea could work, then perhaps the death rate would lower with advancements on weaponry being boosted as they will be put to use in the field.

Erwin found that idea to be extremely fascinating as he never thought of such a thing. Sure their blades were effective but that came of a cost of getting to close to the titans. If a platoon of riflemen or even a full regiment were to come to light, then the titans could be picked off from a greater distance and preventing countless deaths.

Mando:"Your rifles are old and takes forever to reload. In order to maximize efficiency and damage output, you will need to be together in rank or two consisting of 10 or more Scouts armed with rifles."

Scout 1:"How would we be able to pull it off? The titans are obviously taller and move a lot so the shots will be all over the place."

Mando:"As I was saying, the ranks will allow you to pull off a volley fire. Volley fire allows you to fire consistently and accurately. The titans will be hard to hit but only certain people will be able to wield and fire the weapons. I will be talking to Commander Erwin as to decide on how we will work things out when we accumulate the necessary amount of rifles to start training." He explained. The explanation intrigued numerous Scouts, newbies and veterans alike. It even got Hange and Erwins attention.

Hange:"Yahooo! Haha, that is certainly new and most certainly welcome by me!"

Erwin:"A very welcoming idea, this will help us in the long run if it works."

Mando:"There were people who used such tactics in my old galaxy. They worked against most armies but failed against the Empire."

Hange:"Empire?"

Mando:"Don't worry about them."

The trio looked at each other but didn't bother to push the question. Mando ordered for the rest of the Scouts to perform several workouts and continue hand-to-hand while he conversed with the commander and captains.

Mando:"So, do you think you can procure rifles, cannons, or something?"

Levi:"You want us to shit that out for you?"

Erwin:"Sadly, he's right. We don't have the funds to acquire the necessary amount to issue out to form a platoon. Cannons are too costly and take forever to place onto the battlefield." He explained.

Hange:"The MP's get most of the funds out of the three branches. The nobility really need them the most because they protect their 'assests' as well as inside Wall Sina."

Mando:"So the nobles are the ones stopping you guys. Do you know which ones or no?" Erwin and Hange were curious as to why he asked that but Levi quickly figured out why he wanted to know.

Erwin:"We do but if you wish to speak with them about funding, I wish you luck. It's impossible to change their minds to help out the regiment."

Mando:"I know ways of making people change their minds very quickly. Mandalorian's are capable of many things and have many traits that help them along the way."

Levi:"I like your way of thinking."

Mando:"Get me the names and where I can find them, I'll do the talking when I get to them. These weapons are needed if you wish to reach Wall Maria and retake it. I'll continue helping out with training until I get the names."

Hange:"I'm on it!" She yelled out and stormed off. Erwin was no fool either as he was starting to understand where Mando was getting at.

Erwin:"Hm, just make sure you don't do anything unnecessary to spoil the Scout name any worse than need be."

Mando:"I'll do my best."

After the talks ended, so did the training for the day. Mando made his way back to his room to clean himself up and prepare to 'talk' with certain nobles causing their own demise and unnecessary deaths beyond the walls. As he made it back to his room, Mikasa awaited him alongside Frieda and Carla.

Mando:"What are you two doing here?"

Frieda:"Chatting and playing with your lonely child."

Carla:"Eren and Armin took her to explore the base but she came back and stayed with us. We brought her back to your room and stayed with her the entire time you were gone."

Mando:"I see...thank you. How can I return the favor?"

Frieda:"You can take me out on a date, my Knight in shining armor!"

Mando:"What?"

Carla:"Goodness, what she means is could you take us out to Trost? We grew tired of the base and want to go out back to Trost to view the city."

Mando:"I'll see what I can do but I don't see why not."
