《Killing Game (Rantaro X Reader)》Chapter 13

Y/N's PoV-
Fueled by my rage, I went to the gym with a knife strapped to my thigh with tape. I threw open the doors, hearing them slam open and hit the walls.
"Monokuma!"I shouted into the empty gym.
I walked to the middle and heard him pop up behind me.
"Upupupu~ Hello!"
"Where are they."I growled.
He gave me a curious look, tilting his head to the side.
"Who?"
"Don't play dumb! What did you do to my group!"I exclaimed.
"Didn't you listen to the motive? If you want to know, you need to win!"
"You little...."
I pulled out the knife.
"If I kill you, then it's all the same. The game would end, and there would be no trial."I growled.
I charged at the small bear, only to get a face full of metal. I stumbled backwards and looked up at the giant Exisal.
"Tsk. Can't even fight for yourself! Tell me what you did to them!"I yelled.
"No can do! Gotta blast~!"
Just like that, he disappeared along with the Exisal. I stabbed the wall in sheer frustration. They wouldn't die....right? There's no way they would go down without a fight....right? I-I can't lose them. I love them all too much!
I heard the doors open.
"Oh hey Y/N! We're all meeting in the dining hall if-"he paused, taking in my appearance,"Are you alright? You look really pale."Asked Kaito.
"I'm....Fine. I'm not coming. You all don't need me there."I growled, pushing past him.
He grabbed my wrist.
"Hey, don't think like that! We need to work together as a group to get out of here!"
I pulled my wrist free, and walked back to the dormitory. I'm too unstable to go. Slamming my door and locking it, I looked at the mirror.

"Guess that this will be my punching bag."
I balled my fist and swung at the mirror, shattering it to pieces. I grabbed the frame of the mirror and slammed it against the floor with a scream of anger. I moved some of my H/C hair from my eyes and looked at my newly wounded hand. I need to calm down, but I just can't. My family....they can't be dead! They just can't be!
I broke into a fit of crying, eventually crying myself to sleep beside the glass shards.
.
.
...Is someone at the door?
Go away....I don't want to get up....I heard people whispering outside the door.
"Amami....it"Was all I could make out.
I sighed and closed my eyes. The knocking must be Kaito, but who else is there? It doesn't matter..nothing matters. I heard the lock on my door quietly click open, and multiple people come in at once.
"Y/N?!"Exclaimed Kaede
"...Is she alright?"Asked Ryoma.
I let out a groan"Stop being so loud...."
I felt someone pull me into a hug. I flinched but didn't even have the willpower to fight the embrace.
"Y/N....What happened? Your hands are bleeding...."
Oh, it's Amami. I kept silent, feeling guilt pool inside my chest.
"Hey, it looks like she got a motive video too."Said Kaito.
"I wonder whose she got?"Asked Shuichi, hitting play.
I heard my video turn on and my eyes shot open. Nonono! I can't let them watch it! I tried to move, but my body just wouldn't cooperate. I heard the audio playing and I tried to cover my ears.
"She...got her own video?"Gasped Kaede.
I started shaking and violently sobbing as tears came out of my eyes again. Am I the only one that had to suffer through my own damn video?!
"Hey Hey, calm down Y/N. Everything's going to be alright."Whispered Amami, running a gentle hand through my hair.
"Alright?! Like hell it will....They're dead. I have no one to go back to."
"We're all going to get out together. All we need to do is get rid of the mastermind."Said Shuichi.
I let out a broken chuckle, looking up at him through dark, tearful eyes.
"Good luck with that."

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

Myth Of Men
Gaming isn't a way of life. With reality reduced to rubble and ash after a nuclear war, these fictional worlds of entertainment now serve as reality to many survivors. And, amidst all the addicts and try-hards, one person rises to the top with ease. Known as Hiiro, Henry Johnson is infamous for quickly dominating every game that hits the market, and departing from them even more quickly. It's no surprise when he's offered a chance to beta the world's first VRMMORPg: The Myth of Men. But is there something sinister hidden underneath the facade of what promises to be a fun game? Please note: the below is true, but due to my continued haitus, it's on the failed pledge list as of now with my other series. This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Credit for winRoot for doing my commissions. Mature language: 15+... If you ignore this it's your choice, not mine. Enjoy~
