"There we have him. Should we bow?" Seamus asked Dean, both glaring at Draco when he and Harry passed them in the hallway.
"What do you mean?" Harry asked, but Draco pulled him with him down the hallway before the boys could answer.
"Proud of your boyfriend Potter?" Zacharias asked, also passing them.
"What's everyone talking about?" Harry asked, turning to Draco, who looked down.
"That was what I wanted to talk to you about. I know I should have done it sooner" he mumbled.
"What is it?" Harry asked nervously.
"Harry!"
They both turned and saw Ron and Hermione walking down towards them. "Have you seen it?" Ron asked angrily and death glared Draco.
"No he haven't" Draco sneered back.
"Trying to hide from it?" Ron asked, jaw tense.
"Umbridge has put up a new declaring" Hermione quickly said before Ron and Draco would jump at each other.
"She has made a group called Inquisitorial Squad, which totally undermines the Prefects. It's a group only consisting of Slytherins, and he's the leader" she continued and nodded towards Draco.
"What!" Harry exclaimed and turned towards Draco, who on instinct took a step back.
"She black mailed me. She would talk with my father if I said no" he quickly defended himself.
"You and your stupid father. Why can't you just not care about him?" Ron exclaimed.
"It's not that simple Weasley" Draco yelled back.
"Let him explain" Hermione said and looked at Draco.
"What does it mean. Why does she all of sudden make this?" Harry asked frustrated.
"She says that she doesn't trust the Prefects. She knows about DA Harry!" Draco explained.
"Did you tell her?" Ron asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Of course I didn't Weasley" Draco spat irritated.
"Maybe we can use it to our advance" Harry said, looking thoughtful.
Hermione nodded. "You can tell us everything she knows about us. You can keep them away from us" she agreed.
Draco nodded, but he didn't look convinced. "I can try, but I have a feeling that she knows that I'm a part of it. She said that she knew that I spend time with you" he said and looked at Harry, who looked really tired.

"Bloody hell Potter, what are you doing?" Draco asked looking down to see what Harry was writing.
They sat in Gryffindors common room. Ron and Hermione sat in the long red sofa. Hermione was far gone in a book that was bigger than Hagrids head and Ron was trying to make his homework, but constantly casting disapprovingly looks over at the couple. Harry sat in one of the good armchairs with Draco on his lap. The Slytherin had his long legs hanging over one of the armrests and his head relaxed besides the raven haireds. Harry was writing on a potion assignment, while Draco was reading in a book about charms.
"What does it look like?" Harry asked irritated.
He was really tired of fighting with this assignment. Draco shook his head. "I really don't know. It looks like to me that you're trying to poison someone. If you ads Bitteroots to that the potion will become quite dangerous" he explained.
Harry sighed. "Then help me".
Draco chuckled. "Then how will you ever learn?"
"I just have to try out the potion on you then" Harry said with a smirk.
"Boronroot not Bitteroot" Draco quickly said.
Harry laughed. "Well, that worked".
Draco smiled and looked back down in his book, but he got distracted by Ron who kept on casting glances over at them. "Be careful not to break your neck" Draco mumbled.
Ron growled, but looked away.
A little while after Harry sighed and threw his pen away. "That's it" he exclaimed.
Draco looked at the almost finished assignment. He took it from Harry and added some notes. "Now that's it" he said.
Harry looked down at it and sighed in relief. "I knew I had you for a reason" he mumbled and kissed Dracos cheek.
Ron looked away again with disgust in his face. Both Harry and Draco ignored it. Hermione closed the book she was reading and looked over at them. She sighed before leaning a bit forward. "Do you like potion?" she asked.
Draco knew that she didn't like him, but at least she tried to be friendly. He looked at Harry before looking back at her. The least he could do was to act friendly towards her too. "Yes. It's actually alright" he told her.

"Well, you definitely sound like you understand it" she said.
Draco widened his eyes. Did she just compliment him? How did you react to that? He could feel his cheeks turn slightly pink. "I've studied" he quickly mumbled and looked down at the book he was reading.
He ignored Harrys silent chuckle. "I'll go to bed" Ron suddenly said and left.
Draco looked after him. He felt sorry for Harry. It was his fault that the two best friends were on edge at the moment. "He will get over it" Hermione said like she had read his mind.
"I hope so" Harry mumbled.
In that moment Dean and Seamus came down from where Ron had just disappeared. They both looked over at the three only people in the room. "Ron warned us that you were here" Seamus said and looked cold over at the Slytherin.
"Have you again forgotten which way to your common room?" Dean asked.
"Oi, you found my weak spot. My directions skills" Draco said sarcastically without looking up from the book.
Dean and Sheamus glanced at each other before both crossing their arms and looking back at the Slytherin. "What is daddy saying to this beautiful reuniting between his son and the boy who killed his master?" Dean asked.
Harry quickly looked up at Draco. He knew this was a very sore spot to hit. And clearly Seamus and Dean got that too because they were both smirking.
Draco looked hateful at them and stood up. Harry stood up with him. He took a firm grip in Dracos shirt and looked over at the two Gryffindors. "Shut up guys" he said threatening.
"You can't stand up for you self can you Malfoy? If you don't have your two lifeguards with you, you use your boyfriend. Pathetic" Sheamus said laughing.
Now it was Hermiones turn to stop Harry. "Ignore them" she said and looked at him.
Harry looked a last time on the two other boys before pulling Draco with him out of the room. When they stood on the other side of the fat ladys portrait he looked up at the pale boy. "You're alright?" he asked carefully.
He knew all too well how badly Draco reacted when it came to feelings. And he did not get disappointed. "Of course I'm alright. You're always so nervous" Draco said laughing, but Harry saw right through him.
He saw the buried sadness and fear in the boys eyes. "Is it your father?" he asked.
Draco chuckled, but there was no humor in it. He turned his back to Harry who just looked expectantly at him. "They're right" Draco finally said and looked back at the raven haired.
"This is the worst thing that ever could had happen".
Harry shook his head, but Draco stopped him before he could speak. "This is not good. Your friends hates me. I just ruin everything for you".
Harry took an angry step forward. "Have you any idea about how stupid you sound?" he asked.
"I'm a bloody Slytherin. My father used to be ,you know who's, right hand. I'm one of the bad guys" Dracos voice started to crack in the end.
Harry could see the pale boys eyes start to become glassy. Wet from tears that never was allowed to spill. "You can change that" Harry said silently.
Draco looked down. "Whatever Potter" he said and looked back up.
His face was back to the old Malfoy face. Cold and firm. "You're so stupid Malfoy. You got a chance to change and you just threw it away because you're too fucking scared" Harry exclaimed, the tastes of the last name burning on his tongue.
The hard words made Draco winch slightly. "I'm sure your friends wants to discuss that some more with you. They're probably already in there talking about me and my stupidity, so I suggest that you go join them" he said and looked at Harry with an expressionless face.
Harry nodded slowly, dread filling his whole being. "This will never work Draco. Not like this".
He thought he could see pain in Draco's eyes for a minute, before it got wiped out and replaced with ice.
"I think you're right".

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
