CHAPTER 33: THE PROGRAM (PART 2)

Matapos ang maikling kwentuhan ay nagpaalam na din kaming bumalik sa PR.
"Oh? Andiyan na pala kayo." Bynga na sabi ni Alliyah.
" Ay! Hindi! Picture lang kami." Pamimilosopo ko.
Sabihin ba naman ang obvious na? Ngumuso ito at ipinagpatuloy ang ginagawa.
Kumain muna kami pagoatapos ay umupo sa sofa.
"May gitara ba kayo dto? Pwedeng makahiram?" Tanong ni Karryle.
"Yup! Meron, nakalagay sa likod nang sofa.Sabi ni Nicole.
Kinuha ni Karryle ang gitara at bahagyang ngumiti.
Napansin ko kay Karryle na sobrang saya niya lagi sa pagtugtog at pagkanta niya. Nagstrum siya para i-check kung nakatono ang gitara.
"Anong gusto niyomg kanta?" Tanong niya sa amin at ngumiti.
Nang sabihin ni Alliyah ang naisip na kanta ay nagsimula ng mag-strum si Karryle.
Minamasdan kita
Nang hindi mo alam
Pinapangarap kong ikaw ay akin
Mapupulang labi
At matinkad mong ngiti
Umaabot hanggang sa langit
Bahagya itong napapapikit dahil sa pagkanta. Tuwing kumaianta si Karryle, kahit ilang beses ko ng narinig ay hindi ko mapigilang humanga sa kaniya.
Huwag ka lang titingin sa akin
At baka matunaw ang puso kong sabik
Sobrang lambing ng boses niya.
Sa iyong ngiti ako'y nahuhumaling
At sa tuwing ikaw ay gagalaw
Ang mundo ko'y tumitigil
Para lang sayo
Ang awit ng aking puso
Sana'y mapansin mo rin

Sumabay kami pagkanta sa chorus na ikina-ngiti ni Karryle.
Minamahal kita ng di mo alam
Huwag ka sanang magagalit
Tinamaan yata talaga ang aking puso
Na dati akala ko'y manhid
Hindi pa rin makalapit
Inuunahan ng kaba sa aking dibdib (sa aking dibdib)
Masaya ang ganitong bonding namin, kami ang second voice sa pagkanta niya. Sa ganitong bonding ay kuntento na kami.

Pagkatapos niyang kumanta ay ibinaba niya ang gitara at naglwentuhan na lang kami tungkol sa program. Pagoatapos ay agad na napatingin si Karryle sa orasan.
"" Excited na sabi ni Karryle.
"" Sabi ko bago kami lumabas ng PR.
Kasalakuyang nandito kami sa field kung saan nakatayo ang mga booths.
"" Natatawang biro ko.
"Anong akala mo ikaw lang? Bro! Nagsasawa din kami ss pagmumukha mo." Sabi ni Prince at ngumisi sa akin.
"Oo nga! At saka sabihin mo gusto mo lang pumorma sa mga babaeng nandito sa field." Sabi ni Louise.
"Sus! Huwag kami, bro! Kilalang-kilala namin galawan mo." Napapailing na dagdag pa ni Chase.
"Aba't-- Hoy! Bastos 'tong mga ito ah. Hindi pa ako tapos magsalita e." Sabi ko ng kaniya kaniya silang kumaway na hihiwalay na.
Naglakad lakad ako sa at tinitingnan ang bawat booth nagbabakasakali na may gustong bilhin. Pero mayamaya ay muntik na akong madapa dahil sa naapakan kong bola. Kinuha ko ito at tiningnan--
Nagulat ako ng may biglang nagposas sa akin at hinila ako--

"" Nakangising sagot nung isang kulot na babae.
Nang makarating sa jail booth nila ay tinanggal nila ang posas at ipinasok ako sa loob. Nai-lock pa nila ito.
Kung minamalas ka nga naman oh! Ang gusto ko, mag enjoy! Hindi makulong!
Napailing na lang ako at umupo sa isang sulok.
Ilang minuto lang ang nakakalipas ng may marinig akong ingay sa labaw.

"" Reklamo nito at pilit na lumalabas sa pagpapasok ng mga estudyante sa kaniya.
Nung naipasok siya ay nakatalikod ito kaya ng humarap ito ay--
"" Gulat na sigaw namin sa isa't isa.
"Reklamo nito sabay upo sa isang sulok.
"" Mayabang na biro ko na agad ikinakunot ng noo nito sa akin.
"" Inis na sagot nito sa akin.
"" Dagdag na sinabi ni Leona.
"" Hindi natuloy ang sasabin ko ng tumayo ito at pinagpagan ang pantalon niya at saka unti-unting lumapit sa akin.
"" Sabi nito habang patuliy lumalapit sa akin na ikina-aatras ko. Hanggang sa wala na akong aatrasan
Tila limang inches na lang ang layo niya sa mukha ko.
"" Dagdag na sabi nito.
Mayamaya ay lumayo na siya sa akin at pumunta sa pintuan nang kulungan. Hindi ako nakagalaw dahil sa gulat.
"" Banta niya
Kaya yung mga tao sa labas ay dali-daling binuksan ang kulungan.
"" Sabi niya at kumindat.
Kaya napatulala na naman ako, ano ba ang nangyayari sa akin?
"" Sabi nung isang babae na nagpapabalik sa akin sa realidad.
Nag-sorry ako at dalidali ng lumabas ng kulungan.
