《Crossing The Lands》13] - [Lifespan Crisis]

Well I actually have no idea what I'm talking about, but it's true that the Warrior Realm massively reduces lifespan, so it shouldn't matter. Guizou ignored his own lack of knowledge, pretending as he was used to.
However, Wu Tian had a feeling gripping his entire body.
Urgency.
Wu Tian had wide open eyes. His heartbeat getting faster and faster. A sense of crisis was falling on top of him. He did not know. Then, why was his master wasting his time like this? But before his piercing glare could be followed by a question, Guizou responded early. "There is no point in focusing on what you can't change. You either do what I tell you to do, or you go ahead and cultivate. See how hard it becomes to break through the Meridian Opening Realm then! Your talent isn't good. Your Spiritual Roots are blue at best, and that's a generous estimation! You might actually be with purple ones or even have normal ones!"
"I know that you don't understand. Spiritual Roots are a talent gauge. Withered Roots means you can't cultivate, Normal Roots is the norm, it's what the majority of talentless people have. The Purple Roots lets you cultivate five percent faster, the Blue Roots twenty percent. It goes on and on. I personally have the Moon Roots and can cultivate ten times as fast as the Normal Roots!" Guizou was not finished however, raising his finger with a smug look. "But it's not important. I wasn't born with these roots, I cultivated them! Only I and a couple other Emperors know of the [Yorhn Method]! It can use external resources to increase your Spiritual Roots! So? Do you still insist on glaring at me like this? I can make you soar beyond your understanding, but you have to take risks! I won't say that going for these methods won't ever kill you, but you don't have much of a choice. I am laying the foundation now, so that later on you will be thankful."
"So? Are you still unwilling? If you don't follow me, your journey will end as a Great Warrior at best. Just the methods I keep giving you are first class."
"By the way, in the worst case scenario, I can try to make some pills to increase longevity."
Wu Tian barely bothered with rational thinking. His master surged ahead with great points. He could not bear to be dissatisfied any longer. He nodded firmly in response. "I'll follow you master! I was just panicking a bit." Guizou smiled slightly. "I know. It's a normal reaction, don't worry too much. Also, did you ask for a Yin Flower? You know they mistake it for the Ten Petals Ghost Flower, right?"
"Shit."
A while later, a familiar face came out from the still settling velvet curtain. She was the old lady from before.
"Young man, I don't know any of these herbs. I can't help you much. I am very knowledgeable about that stuff, so if you can draw me some of them that would help me tremendously." At the mention of 'knowledgeable', Guizou almost spat on the ground with a snort.

Wu Tian hushed for instructions. "Master, can you draw?" Guizou looked at Wu Tian as if looking at a pitiful clown. "I can, but do you really expect me to spend my spiritual energy for this? I don't have an infinite amount, and you know it full well!" Hearing such accusations, Wu Tian scratched the back of his head with a smile. "At least guide me. I'll give it a try, it can't be that hard."
Wu Tian focused back on the conversation at hand. "I can give it a try, but I already know that I asked for the wrong name of some things." Wu Tian had to stop and calm his rampaging self. Even though he did not know much himself, with Guizou's knowledge, he still felt terrible when saying these words. "The Yin Flower I talked about, it's... the Ten Petals Ghost Flower." Guizou gently gazed at Wu Tian almost vomiting blood from irritation. Guizou himself was not faring much better.
Will I die from anger this time? Is this how a Great Emperor's last attempt at survival gets blown away? Because people are ignoring fucks who can't even use their own eyes properly?! Even a blind man can tell similarities if allowed to touch.
I just want to punch them in the face! I can't even imagine how horrible the alchemists here are. Wait! If plants are wrong, can other things be too? Wouldn't that mean that basically all alchemists, artifact refiners, array masters and the rest are all giant hazards?! I don't want to imagine a Cold Steel sword made with Black Iron. That would be one hell of a scam! And a danger to the owner too!
The more Guizou thought, the more pathetic the Mortal Land became. It was dangerous not because of cultivation, but because of ignorance. They had all the potential but not the awareness to use it. It would be one thing if the Mortal Land was fully isolated, since even if the names were wrong, they would be wrong inside the methods too. But Guizou knew very well. The Fairy Land had a say in the Mortal Land. Some experts also adventured within this place on occasions. There were countless methods spread around the Mortal Land with the correct names. However, with the clash between truths, this would inevitably cause dramatic issues everywhere. One method would demand Yin Flowers, another would ask for Ten Petals Ghost Flowers. Both might be mixed up and two catastrophes would then emerge.
The old lady frowned a little. "For the Ten Petals Ghost Flower, we do indeed have a low and high grade one. But I have to ask distribution about it. Most likely, it will be the same result for the majority of what you asked for. This shop is not bad, but it isn't the best of our Flowery Vines Group."
Wu Tian became curious. "Is your group leader strong?" The old lady was surprised from his bluntness, but did not shy away. "Very. I don't know his cultivation level, but I heard that he lives near the Tehma Portal." This time, it was Guizou's turn to frown. "The Tehma Portal? That's the link between the Mortal Land and the Fairy Land. Only Nine Stars and above can use it currently. That group leader must indeed be decent to survive around it. This place should be crowded with the peak figures of the Mortal Land."

Wu Tian did not show it on the surface, but he was impressed. After thinking in silence for a bit, he realized the Nine Stars to most likely talk about the Star Realm. Compared to that, he felt like a tiny little ant wandering around hoping to not be trampled to death by accident. It was also the first time he heard about a link between Lands. He thought that the Fairy Land was in the sky or in another dimension. Maybe it was the case, but he did not expect something like a portal.
Noticing Wu Tian's gaze, Guizou sighed. "I'll tell you a bit more later. For now, focus on getting that damned Yin Flower! Do you want to die of old age at sixty years old? When you're a Warrior?"
These words echoed in his absent mind, shattering his dreams and fantasies of the world outside this territory. He gave a gentle nod.
Receiving some paper and an ink brush, Wu Tian saw Guizou slowly draw with his finger on the paper. He waited for Wu Tian to follow him. This method was very effective, getting the point across quite easily.
"Ah~!" The old lady exclaimed as she took a bunch of ink-wet papers. "I see! So you needed an Eight Petals Volcanic Flower of all three grades, a high grade Mind Purifying Lotus, a middle and high grade Mind Purifying Flower, two Water Orbs, two high grade stalks from the Lively Bush, a Seven Colored Spruce Sapling and a Rainbow Glass Lotus!"
Wu Tian was listening quietly, sweating profusely as he gulped audibly. He looked to his right, where a floating Guizou had his veins pop out like crazy, a thick stream of blood flowing from his mouth and onto his dense beard. "Bunch of fucking bastards! What Lively Bush?! Are you serious?! How are damn high grade Convergence Stalks from a fucking bush!? They are from a patch of grass that has been nourished by the sun for forty years minimum while being surrounded by ten good natured Warrior Beasts for twenty years! And all of that for a measly low grade! How could they appear in a bush? Stalks of grass? In a bush??"
Wu Tian gently called out as softly as he could. "Master... please restrain your anger. You're freaking me out!" Who knew what kind of hellish hazard a Great Emperor's soul would cause. Wu Tian did not really believe Guizou's current state to be this capable, but he was definitely unwilling to find out himself.
"Haha. Yes, those. Do you have any of them? Especially the low grade Ten Petals Ghost Flower. If you can get the high grade, that's good, but I'm urgently needing the low grade one." Sneaking a glance at the pouting Guizou with his arms crossed, Wu Tian did not see him mind his priorities.
"Young man, I can get you some of them. The Ten Petals Ghost Flowers are fairly easy to get my hands on as I said earlier, as for the rest... I can try to get the Eight Petals Volcanic Flowers and maybe the couple of Water Orbs. As for the rest, I can't help you right now. Maybe later this year."
Nodding, Wu Tian then remembered something. "By the way, I'm also trying to gather herbs that look like the Blue Demon Flower and Blessed Purple Flower but with different colors. Do you happen to know about any like these?"
The old lady stroked her chin pensively, soon raising her brows. "Actually, I do remember one. It's lime in color. But it's quite expensive." Seeing her dismissive attitude, Wu Tian pressed a bit more, receiving an answer. "It was around fifty or something diamond coins? Yes, that's probably right." The immediate reflex Wu Tian had was to look for his cherished master. His master currently trying to tear apart the counter and throw it at them while shouting. "You bunch of bastards! I'm sick of it! I will haunt you all! I will become the plant ghost and haunt all of the Mortal Land!!" Thankfully, he did not use any spiritual energy during his endeavors. Wu Tian was not in the mood of pretending to fight a ghost with other people.
"Thank you. It's indeed a bit pricey... Do you know when any of the ingredients will be here?" The old lady looked at a staff member behind her, whispering something. He whispered back after a few short moments. "You can come back in a month or two. We will keep your order for up to six months. Though, I would like you to pay first."
"Sure, how much is it?" With the remaining thirteen golds or so, Wu Tian was not wor- "Thirty golds."
"..."
"..."
In a large room, a man named Jiang shivered. "Why do I feel cold? Bad omen! Mom always said it's a bad omen!"
"..."
"But..."
"What did I do?!"
