《Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess》Chapter 210 - Overly Bombastic Brawler Rabbit

“An Overly Bombastic Brawler Rabbit?” Long Di raised a brow after ascertaining the identity of this magical beast.
****
“You know about it?” Yaomu Shou was surprised. It seemed that Long Di’s knowledge of magical beasts was no longer simple.
Long Di shrugged in response. “I’m more or less done with the bestiary I got. I don’t think I know everything though since I have yet to see hair or hide about the Pandas in it. Chances there are several volumes which would make sense.”
He paused for a bit before continuing. “This is a tricky beast to deal with because of their numbers. Luckily, I’ve only attracted one. Let me deal with this one.” Long Di wanted to fight the magical beast alone.
Yaomu Shou drifted off to the side. Though this magical beast was a rank three and could cause problems for cultivators of the same rank, Long Di was a super genius who could fight above his realm, so she didn’t need to worry about him.
Instead, she kept a keen eye on the other burrows to avoid getting ambushed by a fluffle of overly bombastic brawler rabbits. Now you may be wondering, but that is indeed its full name. Yes, that does include the overly bombastic part.
“Squeak!”
Suddenly, the overly bombastic brawler rabbit’s eyes snapped open. They were white with red dots scattered all over. This rabbit had polka dots for eyes!
“Those are the polka dots that give it hyperkinetic vision, huh? I see.” Long Di saw how the polka dots shifted in seemingly no discernible manner.
Hyperkinetic vision was a type of ability the overly bombastic brawler rabbit possessed that allowed it to notice the most imperceptible of movements from its opponents.
For example, if you were to flip a coin and asked anyone to tell you what side faced up at the height of its ascent, a normal person would have to guess the answer. However, hyperkinetic vision would allow one to see each and every flip the coin made before it landed, ensuring them to see the correct answer clear as day.
The overly bombastic brawler rabbit sprung up before it vomited a mouthful of blood.
Obviously, the blows it suffered from the Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven caused it to suffer heavy injuries.
This was even when Long Di didn’t augment it with tribulation lightning. His special somatic essence allowed him to exert strength above his current cultivation level!
Curiously, Long Di put away the forging hammer, which confused Yaomu Shou.
“What are you-”
“Just bear with me. Based on what I know, these things should be relatively good when it comes to close combat fighting.”
To be fair, this was a bit of an understatement on the overly bombastic brawler rabbit’s side.
Its hyperkinetic vision allowed it to see the slightest movement its enemy made, while its ears could even pick up the sounds the sinews made when the muscle contracted or stretched.
This allowed it to, in a way, predict its opponent’s next move. It didn’t take long for them to develop a virtually unmatched fighting style.
This was why, even though it got flustered by the release of Long Di’s Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven Technique, it was able to dodge some of the Tempers.
The only reason no one bothered to study it was because they usually attacked in a mob, making such a thing harder than it normally would be, and their relatively low rank engendered little interest from cultivators strong enough to enact such a study.

Long Di wasn’t the same. He saw the hidden gems in this world, and if he could take advantage of them, he would.
When the overly bombastic brawler rabbit saw Long Di putting away the hammer, its viciousness quickly returned.
That hammer and Long Di’s earlier techniques were a task to dodge.
Even though the sounds of the muscles contracting told it where the hammer would hit, the arcs the hammer took to get there escaped its realm of comprehension. This was why most of the strikes found purchase on its body.
Seeing that Long Di was practically fangless, It ignored the bleeding that streamed down its mouth before crouching down. This caused a sickening number of veins to cover its legs.
Boom!
It launched itself at Long Di at an extreme speed, nearly causing the latter to lose sight of it!
Shu!
In a flash, it was before Long Di and he unleashed a somatic essence empowered punch of his own that the overly bombastic brawler rabbit easily dodged despite the speed of its travel!
The only reason why Long Di’s first punch connected was because it was exiting its burrow at the time.
Long Di had extended his spiritual force all around him to avoid him being caught off guard. This permitted him to sense the arriving overly bombastic brawling rabbit, which in turn allowed him to seize the initiative.
However, whether this would remain to be the case was not guaranteed.
After dodging Long Di’s punch, the overly bombastic brawling rabbit released a powerful kick in Long Di’s gut in return.
The veins were visible even through the pink fur that covered it. Powerful wind gales erupted under its power until it finally found its target. The breadbasket of an eleven-year-old.
Bam!
“Ack!”
Long Di’s posture was forcibly bent into the greater-than sign and he vomited the breakfast he never had.
He flew off before crashing into a boulder in the distance.
Boom!
“Long Di!”
Yaomu Shou was shocked by the sudden reversal and drew her sword, readying for battle. She wasn’t aware that Long Di was taking an impromptu training session, so his option to use only his fists made little sense to her.
‘Stay your sword,’ Long Di’s booming voice echoed in her mind.
“But-”
‘I said stay your sword!’ His voice cut off any chance for a rebuttal.
With this, she conceded before being shocked at herself. Before meeting Long Di, no one could tell her what to do, much less shout at her as Long Di had just done.
She knew herself to be an unruly and wilful person, only doing things she liked and caring very little for the consequences.
This was why her imperial protectors were so shocked when they saw how she listened to Long Di without so much as a muffled complaint.
Still, she had to admit she didn’t feel off-put by Long Di telling her what to do and just kept this thought to herself.
Long Di stood up on shaky legs and faced the overly bombastic brawling rabbit once more.
That kick was certainly above the rank-three level. It was clear that the aspect of this beast that exceeded its realm was its legs. So any kick or leg-propelled attack would bring devastating consequences!
“Alright… let’s give that another try then, shall we?” Long Di stared straight at the overly bombastic brawling rabbit and hooked his index finder, daring it to come.

The overly bombastic brawling rabbit took this as a form of provocation and shot after Long Di with the previous method of attack.
Boom!
The ground blast apart under the force of the overly bombastic brawler rabbit’s hop!
Shu!
Long Di executed the same dodge style to avoid the punch when he sensed a similar kick approaching.
He deftly used his free hands to slap the upper part of the leg to evade its blow. The overly bombastic brawler rabbit was surprised that Long Di found a way to resolve its starting assault so quickly.
However, this was not all it had up its sleeve. Its elbow turned into a bludgeoning weapon that aimed straight for Long Di’s temple!
The latter was keeping an eye out for the next move, knowing that this overly bombastic brawler rabbit wouldn’t have only these moves at his disposal.
His head lowered to avoid the blow, only to see a palm blazing towards his face.
“Nope…” he said to himself as his head reeled back to evade the palm when all the hair stood up on the back of his neck.
‘Crap!’
Long Di saw the palm trail off and instantly deduced… it was a feint!
However, before he could react, a deafening blow rocked him in the back of his head.
Dazed! He was dazed and found it hard to regain his bearings.
Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!
Before long, a tumultuous pounding befell Long Di. Kicks, elbows, knees, punches, headbutts, and ass-collisions came one after the other like a wave-filled sea.
If you never knew what it looked like for an oversized pink rabbit to wail on an eleven-year-old boy, then consider that part ticked off on your bucket list. It was happening here in all its brutal yet hilarious glory.
Long Di was unable to retaliate against the assault. He was being knocked around by the overly bombastic brawling rabbit like the world’s dullest ping-pong ball.
He was only able to land a proper hit in return after around every six hundred hits.
Yaomu Shou’s body trembled as her grip on the sword tightened. The only reason she had yet to make a move to rescue Long Di was because at certain intervals when she was about to lose control and intervene, he would shoot a glare her way that froze her in her tracks.
“I don’t get it. What’s the point!?” She internally began to panic at the thought of Long Di being beaten into an idiot.
What made this even more bizarre was Long Di’s strength. She knew that Long Di was strong enough to the point where even if he just used somatic essence alone to attack, once any such attack connected, it would be beyond detrimental to the overly bombastic brawler rabbit.
The few attacks he did manage to land should have compensated for his shortcomings. Yet the punches that did get in had a great deal of their strength restrained.
She couldn’t figure this out and was at a loss for a good while.
“No, there must be a reason for his actions.”
Believing in Long Di, she quickly calmed herself and observed everything deeply.
She watched Long Di’s actions, or to be more exact, the overly bombastic brawler rabbit’s actions, to discover the rhyme and reason for Long Di’s actions.
Hours passed, and it was now becoming dark and it was then Yaomu Shou saw a slight change.
She didn’t realise it at first, but now that she was watching it closely, it became scarily apparent.
In the beginning, Long Di could only land a punch or a kick or something along those lines only after receiving six hundred blows first, but now he could return a blow after every five hundred and fifty blows.
This improvement might seem minor, even negligible, but Long Di wasn’t simply imitating the overly bombastic brawler rabbit. He was ingraining in himself a unique fighting style that could not only fight against arguably the most polished fighting style across the continent, but best it.
“He’s crazy!” Yaomu Shou wasn’t wrong for thinking this.
How long did it take to create a fighting style, much less perfect it? This was something that required profound knowledge, a deep understanding of the martial path, and above all… time.
That was how the great sages of time immemorial created arts and methods for their descendants to utilise. This was the only way that made sense, that held logic!
Yet here was Long Di making logic, his metaphorical stepchild as he proceeded to beat the figurative living daylight out of it. Why you ask? Because he could!
What truly moved Yaomu Shou was that Long Di was using what could be described as the preliminary form of a fighting style.
A few more hours passed and not just Long Di, but even Yaomu Shou could see that the overly bombastic brawler rabbit was getting tired.
Its punches, kicks and all else slowed down and carried far less power than they did in the beginning.
Bap…
The overly bombastic brawler rabbit landed a right cross on Long Di’s jaw that barely tickled the latter.
Seeing this, Long Di stopped what he was doing and just stared at the overly bombastic brawler rabbit.
It did the same but still tried its best to take him down, though to no avail. The overly bombastic brawler rabbit considered Long Di a peculiar existence, as it felt no killing or murderous intent from him even though they fought for the better part of a day.
However, this was a low-rank magical beast and, as a result, had little intelligence. Even though it felt no killing intent from Long Di, its instinct would never allow it to put its guard down around its enemy.
D-D-Dum!
Buzz!
Without warning, Long Di’s the pressure of Long Di’s cauldrons erupted in an instant, sending an ocean of somatic essence rushing through his body.
Before the overly bombastic brawler rabbit could react, he landed a punch in the centre of the magical beast’s chest!
Bam!
The two went silent and even their movements paused. Long Di finally removed his fist and the overly bombastic brawler rabbit fell forward, no longer a threat to them both.
Yaomu Shou eventually walked over, not taking her eyes off the overly bombastic brawler rabbit before she finally asked, “I-Is it dead?”
Her question was answered immediately after when a raucous noise erupted from its body, which frightened her into jumping back with her sword in hand.
