However, despite all my focus, the life force and my sacred power mix with each other. Something strange happens when the two mix, but I have already started it moving into my chest when I notice it. Then the bundle of energy touches me, there is a flash of light, a boom, and I get knocked onto my butt.

'What the hell just happened?!'

Myria says "Ash, are you alright?!"

"Yeah, I think so."

Myria says "Was that what you were trying to do?"

"No! Not at all! I mean it is a good thing, but I have no idea what just happened!"

Myria says "It sounds like it is time to ask for help."

"Yeah, I guess so. Krenocia, I need some help."

Krenocia says "Ash, what are you doing?"

"Before you get mad, I have Seronia's permission."

Krenocia says "I told you, you don't have life force. So why are you still playing with it?"

To save time I explain to Krenocia exactly what I am trying to do and why. As I say everything out loud Myria just stares at me like I am insane, but I am used to that. As I am talking I can sense that Seronia is also paying attention to what I am saying.

Krenocia says "That is insane! But also brilliant!"

Seronia says "Even though I knew what you were trying to do, I never expected you to go this route."

"So can you tell me what is going wrong?"

Krenocia says "I can tell you that your body is absorbing the life force to extend your time. What happened with the sacred power, I have no clue."

Seronia says "That I can answer, the life force merged with the sacred power. Basically you created and absorbed sacred life force."

"So, is there something I can do?"

Krenocia says "No, any life force you touch will be absorbed by your body. It will extend your time, but that is all it will do."

"Seronia, is there a way to keep life force from dispersing so quickly when it is outside the body?"

Seronia says "No, it disperses into the air when they come in contact. There is no way around it unfortunately."

"Air huh? That helps a lot! Thanks, Seronia!"

Seronia says "How does that help? What have you thought of?"

Krenocia says "Knowing Ash, it is something insane!"

"If it is air that reacts with life force, then I just need to create a vacuum."

Seronia says "A what?"

"A vacuum is created when there is a total absence of air."

Sensing their confusion I use my sacred power to force all air out of a small space. It is a little harder than I expected, but I am still able to create a small vacuum. I only hold it in place for a few seconds, just long enough for the goddesses to see it.

Seronia says "Ash, you never cease to amaze me!"

Krenocia says "That is more terrifying in my opinion."

"Thanks for your help. I think I have it figured out now."

Seronia says "Wait, what? What have you figured out?"

"You will just have to watch and see if it works."

Myria says "Sounds like we can move now?"

"Yeah, let's go find some more spiders!"

As we set off looking for more spiders I can feel Seronia and Krenocia watching me. It might be my imagination, but their gazes feel rather nervous to me. I don't have the time to explain to them the science behind vacuums to ease their worries.

We are in luck and quickly find another group of warrior spiders, only four this time. Again I pick one and pin it down before I start gathering its life force to one spot. Once I have gathered all the spider's life force I use my sacred power to create a vacuum right outside the spider's body.

As soon as the vacuum is stable I suck the spider's life force inside of it. To my delight, it works, the life force doesn't evaporate, so I split it into two. Then I reach out to Myria and take the mana I need from her core, carefully.

Then I wrap the mana around the life force and shape it into the two organs. I carefully build the organs, making sure every detail is exactly right before I let the mana and life force merge. The merger makes the mana solidify into flesh, as the organs form I quickly remove my armor and expose my chest.

Myria says "Oh! I get a show in exchange for my mana?"

Ignoring her I cut my chest open with my claws and move the two organs into it. Once they are inside me I quickly enter into my meditation and use my sacred power to position the organs. Then it is a simple matter to connect them and let my body heal itself up.

Myria says "You are insane! How can you just cut yourself open and shove things inside?!"

"Shh! I don't want to have to do this twice!"

While Myria does go quiet, I am absolutely aware that I am going to pay for it later. However, I am far more concerned with the organs and whether or not they are going to work. My body doesn't absorb them, or suck the life force out of them, which is a good sign.

'Let's see if it worked. Stats!'
