Chapter 251
His alter ego was also Soo Hyuk.
It was clear that the reason Firestorm didn’t chase after the clones was because they looked like him. That was then.
“Poison Swamp.”
The poison clone cast poison swamp.
“Poison Thorns.”
And at the same time, the clone of the wind cast the linked skill ‘Poison Thorns’.
Poison was spread high under his feet, and then thorns came out and attacked the protective shield.
*Crack*
Even so, the cracked shield was eventually shattered by poison thorns. But it stalled for enough time.
“Blink.”
Soo Hyuk cast Blink and quickly escaped out of the poison swamp.
“Wind cutter.”
And he thought while casting wind cutter.
‘Why don’t they use something like Hell Fire?’
There was something he didn’t understand. What if they used HellFire from the beginning?
It would be Soo Hyuk, not the clones that died. What the hell is the reason for them not using Hellfire?
‘They are not using high-level spells themselves.’
It’s not just Hellfire. They were not using any high-level magic at all.
Firestorm, poison storm, etc., even the smallest AOE was not used.
‘Can’t they use it?’
Soo Hyuk opened his mouth, thinking that they might not be able to use high-ranking magic.
“Hell Fire.”
For some reason the clones did not use high-level magic. He doesn’t know why they didn’t use it.
However, he had no reason not to use it.
*Swoosh*
Hellfire appeared.
The subject was the wind clone. The dark clone is strong, but the wind clone is stronger. Defeating it first was his preferred choice.
*swish*
Hellfire instantly burned the protective shield away. And then it clings to the wind clone.
[The fifth clone is dead.]
Shortly thereafter, the wind clone died.
Soo Hyuk turned his gaze away from the message and checked the Dark clone left standing. Although it was left alone because it was an alter ego, it did not show any signs of embarrassment.
“Fire Spear.”
All it could do was silently cast spells at him.
“Dark Spear, Flame.”
Soo Hyuk cast the Dark Spear to offset the Fire Spear and then cast Flame.
*Swoosh*
The flame stuck to the poison’s clone. And just as the wind’s clone was killed by Hellfire, the poison’s clone fell as well.
[The fourth clone is dead.]
[You have killed all clones.]
[You have met the conditions.]
[The door of Illusion has been opened.]
[The skill ‘Archmage’ is strengthened.]
[The skill quest ‘Touch of Illusion’ is created.]
[The skill quest ‘Hidden’ is created.]
[The skill quest ‘Brainwashing’ is created.]
[The skill quest ‘Alone’ is created.]
With the door opening, countless messages appeared.
‘Huh, I’m really happy.’

Looking at the message, Soo Hyuk let out a sigh of relief.
‘If it was opened at the end.’
The number increases by one depending on the opened attributes.
What if it was opened last? He would have had to fight 9 clones Just thinking about it was terrifying.
‘What about the skills?’
Looking at the message, Soo Hyuk opened the skill window and checked the skill ‘Archmage’ as he has done so far. What effect did it have this time?
{Archmage [Passive]}
Proficiency: –
Special Effect:
100% additional damage when attacking with magic
Reduced magic casting time by 50 seconds
Poisons the target with a certain probability when performing a magic attack.
Can’t take damage from your own magic.
When performing a magic attack, there is a chance to curse the target.
Reduces target’s magic defense by 40% when attacking with magic
Nullifies mental attacks.
“Oh.”
Soo Hyuk exclaimed. There were three changes this time.
First, the cast time reduction has been increased from 40 seconds to 50 seconds. And secondly, the target’s magic defense reduction is increased from 30% to 40%. Finally, there is a new effect.
‘Neutralize mental attacks.’
It was very good.
‘Isn’t this OP(Overpowered)?’
No, it wasn’t good, it was awesome. Typical mental attacks include charm and brainwashing used by high-ranking monsters and NPCs.
When you are enchanted or indoctrinated, you lose control of your body. It will move according to the commands of monsters and NPCs. Then it was common to die. However, this new effect makes all mental attacks useless.
Soo Hyuk closed his skill window with a smile. And he thought as he walked towards the warp magic circle.
‘Where shall I go now?’
He was contemplating whether to go to the auction house or the library.
It was then.
– Yeon Jeung: Soo Hyuk! It’s a big deal! The situation is a mess.
A whisper came from Yeon Jeung.
“What?”
Soo Hyuk can only be puzzled by Yeon Jeung’s words.
‘What happened in the Middle World?’
Kyrad is dead. There is nothing big enough to make him worry in the Demon World. So, he thought that something happened in the Middle.
-Yeon Jeung: Demon King! The Demon King has appeared!
However, at Yeon Jeung’s following words, Soo Hyuk couldn’t help but be surprised.
-Soo Hyuk: The Demon King? What happened suddenly?
Soo Hyuk hurriedly sent a whisper.
-Yeon Jeung: Hertana is back as the Demon King!
Soo Hyuk frowned without saying a word. Hertana was a high demon. She suffered a serious injury from Soo Hyuk and disappeared. But suddenly she came back as a demon king?
-Soo Hyuk: Are you sure?
– Yeon Jeung: Yea, a message popped up. And a quest as well!
-Soo Hyuk: Quest?
– Yeon Jeung: Yes, it was created the moment Hertana arrived.
A message and a quest appeared. He doesn’t know what happened, but it was clear that Hertana became the Demon King.
-Yeon Jeung: Looking at the quest, the final boss seems to be Hertana, not Kyrad.
Soo Hyuk thought about it.
‘Now that I think about it, it doesn’t make sense for the final boss to die in the middle.’
The quest was only half done. But the final boss is dead? The operators couldn’t have designed it that way.
‘Then, was Hertana the final boss from the beginning?’
Soo Hyuk thought and asked Yeon Jeung.
-Soo Hyuk: How is the situation?
He couldn’t just watch Hertana, after she became the Demon King.
– Yeon Jeung: I’m going now.
He learned about Hertana through messages and quests, but he didn’t see it in person either.
-Yeon Jeung: Amiletta-sama and Hertana are fighting alone!
After he arrived at the site, he relayed the situation.
– Yeon Jeung: Huh? Is the battle over?
The broadcast didn’t last long.
-Soo Hyuk: What?
Soo Hyuk asked. How long did the battle take to end?
– Yeon Jeung: Hertana ran away. No, a demon is carrying her. I think she lost her mind.
-Soo Hyuk: Has she been hurt already? You said she became the Demon King?
– Yeon Jeung: No, she wasn’t hurt. It is Amiletta-sama who suffered.
Soo Hyuk shook his. He couldn’t understand the situation without seeing it.
– Yeon Jeung: Where are you? Can you come right away? Cranosson is looking for you.
Soon, he received another whisper.
-Soo Hyuk: Yeah, I’ll go right away. Where can I go?
-Yeon Jeung: That mansion. Amileta-sama is now being transported.
-Soo Hyuk: Okay.
Soo Hyuk ended his conversation with Yeon Jeung. And he used the warp magic circle to warp to the warp gate of ‘Alin’ he registered earlier.
Soo Hyuk, who came out of the warp gate, went to the mansion where he had had a conversation with Amiletta, while listening to the murmurs of the demons of the Amiletta faction.
___________
Jang Gyeong smiled as he watched the situation in the 10th Demon World.
“It is twisted.”
Even if it was twisted, it was twisted tightly.
“Hertana will awaken as the Demon King.”
Originally, Hertana wasn’t supposed to awaken. Kyrad was supposed to awaken.
“It’s also fun.”
However, things changed with Soo Hyuk. Hertana left Alin and the final boss, Kyrad, took her place.
“It wouldn’t be good for Soo Hyuk.”
Hertana was one of the physical demons. And she became a Demon King. Although she wasn’t a complete demon king, she was a demon king even if it is half a demon king. It would be very difficult to deal with her in its current state.
“But really…”
When he thought about Soo Hyuk, Jang Gyeong smiled, blurring the end of his words.
“I thought it would take at least a year or more to make, but if that’s the case…”
Jang Gyeong calculated.
New grade equipment that he thought would take at least a year to make.
However, Soo Hyuk had the most important ingredient. And he had other ingredients as well. How long will it take to craft the new grade equipment?
_______________
– Humans are coming all the way here!
An intermediate demon swung his fists in a voice full of anger. Then the magi that had been clinging to his fist flew away.
The Hunting King ran towards the flying magician. And when he got close to the Magi, he shouted.
“Hougal’s protection!”
[Receive the protection of Hougal.]
[You can destroy magic with physical attacks for 10 seconds.]
*Swish*
A blue light shone from Yarion’s wrath. The Hunting King split the Magi, followed by the Intermediate demon.
After that, the Hunting King attacked several more times, killing the rest of the intermediate demons.
The Hunting King acquired the dropped items and waited for Leah and Yunjin to return.
And after a while, they came into sight.
“So? What did you get?”
When Leah and Yunjin arrived, he asked.
“Haha!”
Leah smiled broadly at his question.
“Don’t be surprised!”
Yunjin said first. Then Leah continued.
“Right now, there are other humans in the demon world besides us!”
“What?”
The Hunting King had no choice but to question Leah’s words.
“I heard that they are active in the Amiletta faction. They are fighting the war together against the Kyrad faction.”
“NPCs or Users?”
The hunting king asked again.
“I don’t know about that.”
But Leah didn’t know the details either. She only found out that there are humans in here.
“But maybe it’s an NPC?”
“Yeah, if they were users, they would have already posted about it.”
Yunjin nodded his head in agreement with Leah’s words, then said his reasoning.
“Hmm.”
The Hunting King started thinking. Soon he finished thinking and told them.
“Shall we go?”
“Where?”
Yunjin replied, and the Hunting King continued.
“To the Amiletta faction.”
“What? There?”
“Yeah, I think we can get some good quests.”
There was a quest in progress, but there was no progress. They needed something new.
“Then we have a common enemy.”
It was the Hunting King’s party, which had a bad relationship with the Kyrad faction. It seemed that they could form a positive relationship with the Amiletta faction.
“How about it?”
The hunting king asked again.
“I agree!”
Leah thought for a moment before answering.
“If that’s the case, we’re going even if I disagree.”
With Leah’s approval, it was already a majority. There’s no use trying to oppose it. Yunjin shrugged his shoulders and continued.
“Let’s go, but where should we go?”

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
