Chapter 1371: Chapter 1371 – The Ghost Twins
200 meters away, Zhang Heng shot one of the Twins in the head accurately. Just as he was about to turn his gun on the other twin, the ‘corpse’of the fallen twin suddenly twitched, after that, he staggered up from the ground. After he stood up, he patted the dust off his body and revealed a smile.
His face, which had been damaged by the bullet, was recovering at a visible rate. His bones were repaired, his facial muscles were regenerated, and even his skin was completely repaired. There was no trace of the bullet left behind.
Zhang Heng frowned when he saw this, but he did not waste any time. He sent another bullet into the chest of another twin, and the same unbelievable scene happened again.
The body of the dead twin lay on the ground for less than two seconds before it miraculously began to move again, and the wound on its chest quickly healed.
Zhang Heng had previously encountered a player with an immortal body in the leakers’dungeon. The other party was the agent of the OATHSOME and Abominable Goddess, Styx. His body had been soaked in the Styx River before, and other than a weakness that only he knew of, his body was invulnerable.
However, the twins that Zhang Heng had encountered this time were obviously different from the players that he had encountered before. Zhang Heng had seen with his own eyes that after the bullets hit their bodies.., it did cause corresponding damage to the parts that were hit, but in the next moment, they were able to crawl back up from the ground as if nothing had happened.
Therefore, this was more like a rapid healing skill.
However, Zhang Heng was still unsure whether this healing skill came from a certain item or their own ability, whether there was a time limit and the number of times they could use it.

However, Zhang Heng did not want to waste his precious sniper bullets on probing. He decisively bypassed the two of them and aimed at another player wearing a bulletproof vest. He pulled the trigger.
Blood splattered everywhere. The target’s body leaned back and fell weakly to the ground.
At that moment, Zhang Heng also noticed that the encirclement around him had started to tighten. He did not covet the credit. He decisively put away the SR-25 and continued to move to the next location.
However, this time, Zhang Heng ran into trouble on the way to the next location. The two twins had relied on their immortal ability to move extremely quickly. At first, they were just casually walking around like they were taking a stroll, but then, their footsteps became faster and faster until they were fully sprinting. They were like two deer, leaping and weaving through the forest.
At the same time, in order to cooperate with their movements, the man in sunglasses also specially took out a small team to suppress Zhang Heng, therefore, this time, Zhang Heng only moved less than 50 meters before the twins caught up to him.
However, the two did not rush to attack. One of them even bowed to Zhang Heng and said, “Mr. Simon, I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Zhang Heng also looked at the Twins in front of him. “What’s Your Name?”
“Light arc, the Ghost Twins,”the other person smiled, “We don’t mean any harm. Light arc has always insisted on sitting down with Mr. Simon, so we have no intention of fighting Mr. Simon. We just want to ask Mr. Simon to stay here for a while.”
“Wait until your people have finished surrounding me?”Zhang Heng raised his eyebrows.
“If that’s enough to make you sit down, after all, the survival of the entire human race depends on you now. This is no longer a matter for you alone. We believe that Mr. Simon is not a person who waits for death. You may already have some plans and ideas. We just think that we should have the right to know about this matter, and we might even be able to help you, don’t you think so?”

“For the time being, the two of you stepping aside will be of the greatest help to me,”Zhang Heng said calmly.
The twin brothers looked at each other and one of them said regretfully, “Looks like we can only come here today to experience Mr. Simon’s power.”
Zhang Heng did not waste any more time. Previously, when he was talking to the twin brothers, he had also been observing the surrounding movements. According to his estimation, in about three minutes, the other side’s encirclement would be complete.
In other words, he had to solve the problem in front of him within the next three minutes.
Therefore, without any probing, Zhang Heng pulled out the [ hidden scabbard ] from his waist and slashed at one of the twins!
Even though the twins were ready for battle, the speed of Zhang Heng’s slash was still beyond their imagination. They could barely see a ray of light before one of their arms flew into the sky, blood spurted out of the wound and dyed the ground red.
However, the next moment, the shocking scene happened again.
A new section of white bone was extracted from the wound, and soon, the bone was covered by muscles and blood vessels, becoming thicker and thicker..
Zhang Heng had seen the Twins reborn twice before, but this was the first time he was so close to them. In just a few seconds, the broken arm was completely reconstructed, no known species in the natural world could achieve such a powerful regenerative ability.
“Sorry to have embarrassed you,”said the severed arm. However, it was clear that even though it possessed an almost invincible regenerative ability, the pain of losing an arm was real. His forehead was covered in sweat, obviously, the pain from earlier was not light, but no matter what, he did survive the [ hidden scabbard ]’s blade.
And this was the first person Zhang Heng had met who had survived [ hidden scabbard ]’s attack. One had to know that with the blade’s tyrannical non-healing properties, being hit by it meant death.
But not only did the twins survive, they even grew a new arm. Zhang Heng looked at the spot where he had struck earlier, but there wasn’t a single wound left.
Zhang Heng’s heart skipped a beat. Could it be that the twins’ability wasn’t healing?
Seeing that his brother was safe and sound, the other man shook his head, “It’s useless. Your attack won’t have any effect on us. At most, it’ll only cause us pain. Even though I’ve been afraid of pain since I was young, I can hold on for a few minutes until the encirclement is complete.”
Before he could finish his sentence, an arrow had pierced through his throat. He looked at Zhang Heng, who had suddenly bent his bow, and his face was filled with excitement. It was as if he did not understand why Zhang Heng would switch to using a bow and arrow when he had a gun in his hand, however, he still grabbed the arrow that had pierced through his throat with one hand and pulled it out with great difficulty.
After he had done all this, his throat quickly returned to its original state like the previous few times.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
