Chapter 1063: 1063
Chapter 1063: The Ancient War
The bright moon slowly rose into the sky. Bright moonlight sprinkled down, casting a layer of a mysterious and pure white veil over the Phoenixes’ ancestral land.
Ou Yangming walked slowly and arrived at a small courtyard.
Here, Feng Mu was looking at him with a smile. His old eyes were filled with wisdom that could see through everything.
Ou Yangming raised his head and met this pair of eyes. He could not help but pause slightly. He did not know why, but when the eyes looked at him, while he had a feeling that he had been seen through, deep down he did not feel the slightest bit of discomfort or have rebellious thoughts.
It was as if he could let go of all his thoughts, and even his state of mind could become calm and unperturbed.
What kind of powerful and inconceivable ability was this? Once Ou Yangming noticed this, his expression could not help but change slightly.
As the saying went, the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. This old phoenix who had lived for God knows how long had done it without making a sound. In comparison, the other phoenix Rulers also had powerful combat powers but in terms of individual temperament, they seemed to be slightly inferior.
Taking a deep breath, Ou Yangming regained his calmness.
Even if this old man possessed unfathomable strength, it was impossible for him to greatly affect Ou Yangming without a sound.
Ou Yangming slowly walked toward the old man. He deeply bowed and said, “Greetings, senior.”
Regardless of whether it was due to the old man’s age or for Lil’ Red’s sake, the salutation was necessary. Hence, when Ou Yangming bowed, he was respectful and did not show the slightest bit of reluctance. In reality, even within the Phoenixes, very few people could receive this old man’s guidance face to face.
Feng Mu slowly nodded and said, “Not bad, you… Are very good.”
Ou Yangming smiled indifferently and responded, “Thanks for your praise, senior”
He had come because of Feng Mu’s invitation, but he did not bring it up at all. They were like a host and a guest, chatting casually in this place surrounded by beautiful scenery.
The smile in Feng Mu’s eyes grew, and he was more satisfied with Ou Yangming.
Even though he appeared amiable, the faintly discernible aura and pressure on his body were quite unbearable for any descendant of the Phoenixes. On the other hand, Ou Yangming, who was a human, appeared to be at ease in front of him and did not show any signs of being affected.
Feng Mu sighed deeply in his heart.
Sure enough, the bloodline of the Phoenixes’ king was extraordinary.
“Lil’ Friend Ou, how do you feel after coming to the Phoenixes’ ancestral land?” Feng Mu suddenly asked.
Ou Yangming’s eyes flashed. He immediately understood that the old man had finally started to talk about serious matters.

After some serious thought, Ou Yangming solemnly answered, “There are as many powerhouses as there are clouds here.” This was indeed the most profound feeling he had. Before coming to the ancestral land, he had never thought that there would be so many powerhouses in this world.
Every Ruler here could stir up a bloody storm in the Spiritual Realm. Even the weakest Ruler could sweep everything away. Just like how Feng Xiang descended to the Spiritual Realm in the past, even when he had curbed his power and tried his best to restrain himself, as long as he existed, the realm could not bear it.
Ou Yangming originally thought that there might only be a few existences like Feng Xiang. Nonetheless, after coming to the ancestral land, he realized what it meant to be truly wealthy and powerful. In comparison, those so-called supreme sects in the Spiritual Realm were insignificant.
“Hehe.” Feng Mu faintly laughed and said, “Lil’ Friend Ou, you’re wrong to say that there are as many powerhouses as there are clouds here.” He smiled as he explained, “The Great Wide World is so vast, so what you’ve seen is only a drop in the ocean.”
Ou Yangming was startled, and his expression could not help but become solemn. He pondered for a moment before he finally nodded slowly and said, “Yes, I’ve received your teachings.”
After entering the Great Wide World, he finally understood what it meant to have a world that was so vast. On top of that, he only knew how many true powerhouses there were after receiving careful guidance from this old man.
It was true that the Phoenixes’ ancestral land was enough to shock him, but it was only one of the many when compared to the entire Great Wide World. After all, in this endless world, there were still the Dragons that could contend with the Phoenixes, and they were not inferior at all.
The fight between the 2 races had been going on for unknown years, but the victor had never truly been decided.
Since there were so many powerhouses in the Phoenixes’ ancestral land, the number of dragons would not be much less. Moreover, the true powerhouses of the Dragons and the Phoenixes should be wandering around the Great Wide World or guarding certain places. Only a small number of them remained in their ancestral lands.
Just thinking about how many powerhouses and secrets were hidden in this Great Wide World could make one’s hair stand on end.
For a moment, Ou Yangming’s state of mind underwent a subtle change.
The pride that he gained after advancing into a Venerable One, comprehending the origin power, sensing the growth of the poisonous pill’s world, and contending against a Ruler, flew away quietly at this time.
In the Great Wide World, with his strength at the moment, he could be considered a top figure. Nevertheless, it was also because of this that he was still far from being able to suppress the others. Since that was the case, what else could he be proud of?

A satisfied smile appeared on Feng Mu’s face. He saw all of Ou Yangming’s psychological changes.
Perhaps others would not be able to see any clues from those tiny details, but Feng Mu’s eyes were sharp, and he was experienced. Naturally, he was far from what ordinary people could compare to.
He sighed and said, “Lil’ Friend Ou, the Phoenixes have plenty of powerhouses, but we haven’t been able to rule the Great Wide World for so many years. Do you know why?”
Ou Yangming thought for a moment and carefully asked, “The Dragons?”
Feng Mu seemed to be on the same side as Feng Xiang and Lil’ Red, so he should be a part of the Peacemaking Sect. Despite that, Ou Yangming was not a real phoenix, after all, thus he could not understand the thoughts of these influential figures. The influential figures were definitely powerhouses from the older generation. They had experienced real bloody battles, and many of their companions and comrades had fallen under the claws of dragon powerhouses. Hence, Ou Yangming did not dare to jump to a conclusion when he could not see through the old man’s true thoughts.
The old man smiled and replied to him, “The Dragons are indeed the biggest factor but in the Great Wide World, other than the Dragons, there are also some races that possess incredibly powerful strength. Some of them are extraordinary saints and can even reach the level of our race’s powerhouses.”
Ou Yangming’s eyelids twitched slightly. Those who could be called powerhouses in the Phoenixes were surely Rulers. As for whether they could further advance, it was not something he would know.
Having said that, other than the Dragons and the Phoenixes, up until this time, Ou Yangming had not met Rulers from other races yet.
However, judging from Feng Mu’s words, in the Great Wide World, there were probably quite a number of powerhouses at that level. Of course, among those races, including the Humans, even if someone broke through and became a Ruler, they were very rare.
Otherwise, it would not be the Dragons and the Phoenixes who had the qualifications to dominate the Great Wide World. Instead, it would be a war between the 10,000 races.
Feng Mu slowed down and explained, “The Dragons and the Phoenixes have been fighting to the death for many years. For the sake of their own interests, who knows how many God-favored ones have fallen. Heh, when the scale of the fight between the 2 races continued to grow, it finally spread to the entire Great Wide World and involved all the powerful races.” He let out a long sigh and continued, “Our 2 races once broke out in a disastrous war. That war was known as the Ancient War. After that war, the strongest powerhouses of each of our clans were almost destroyed in an instant. Heh… The Dragons and the Phoenixes that you see today are basically the younger generation.”
A faint sorrowful expression flashed across his eyes as he spoke.
It was obvious that the memory of that battle had left a deep impression on him. Even after so many years, he could not forget it.
Ou Yangming hesitated for a moment before nodding. Even so, he remained silent. This was because he did not know how to deal with the situation.
Feng Mu reminisced for a moment before opening his mouth once again and said, “Currently, the Dragons and the Phoenixes have recovered our strengths. We have yet to reach our peaks in the past, but we’re close. Meanwhile, the supreme powerhouses from the other races are also slowly appearing. They’re either leaning toward the Dragons or the Phoenixes. The situation now is actually somewhat similar to the one during ancient times.”
Ou Yangming’s heart trembled as he asked, “Senior, you mean that the great war between the Dragons and the Phoenixes…”
Feng Mu’s expression was grave as he continued, “If this situation continues, the war will likely be unavoidable.” He let out a long sigh, “After the Ancient War, both the Dragons and the Phoenixes suffered heavy injuries and nearly destroyed their inheritances. If this great war were to erupt again, which one of us can be sure about being victorious?”
Ou Yangming pondered for a moment and said, “I understand. Senior, you want peace.”
After listening to Feng Mu’s heartfelt words, he finally understood his true intentions.
Only after experiencing that terrifying war that almost caused both sides to be extinct could one show reverence toward war.
Feng Mu was advocating from the bottom of his heart. Of course, this was also because the Dragons and the Phoenixes were on par with each other. If one side was rising higher than the other, it would be a disaster for the other race.
The old man lowered his head and stared at Ou Yangming’s body with eyes full of wisdom. He said, “Lil’ Friend Ou, I know that you should have the opportunities from the Dragons and Phoenixes on you. Perhaps only one of such fortune exists among the billions of living beings, and it’s even rarer for the being with the opportunities to succeed in cultivating them. As far as I remember, there was only one such being before this and was also a human…”
A figure instantly flashed in Ou Yangming’s mind.
Feng Mu stood up and slowly walked away, leaving behind a faint voice that echoed in the air.
“Your appearance might be an opportunity for peace between the 2 races. Please… Cherish it.”

Magriculture (Rewrite)
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is a rewrite of the original "Magriculture", which some of you may have read. (To those who did, you have my deepest gratitude, it is absolutely because of your patronage and comments that this rewrite happened, and I feel the story is better for it.) That said, this story is not a complete and polished work, there will be mistakes and errors, an occasionally these errors may mean I need to rewrite portions of the story (as of this posting the story has gone through two major rewrites already, and I'm seriously hoping there won't be need of a third.) Because of this, there may at times be changes. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will. Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If you're looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.

Some time between then and now secrets were revealed, like secret societies, where the nukes were being hidden, and, most importantly, that there were Fae, magic beings, living among humanity all this time. The Proxima Centurians eventually came to the now weakened Earth to 'check on' humanity about fifty years ago. Some say they are here to colonize what's left of the city-states and raiders alike. But now we focus on a young man who has earned the ire of a Centurian colony and a powerful half-Fae named Jormungrand. This young man has chosen the name for himself as B.
