Chapter 1064: 1064
Chapter 1064: Fight to the Bitter End
As Ou Yangming watched Feng Mu’s figure slowly disappear from his sight, his emotions could not calm down for a long time.
The Ancient War between the Dragons and the Phoenixes seemed illusory because without experiencing it before, one would not know the truth. Nonetheless, the term would be enough to cause people’s imaginations to run wild. It was a kind of shudder that made one’s hair stand on end. Especially on Feng Mu’s body, Ou Yangming could feel a strong aura of death. It was as if in the blink of an eye, one could experience the day of destruction where remains were everywhere and everything died.
Ou Yangming could be sure of one thing, and that was that Feng Mu really did not want to see that tragedy happen again. Therefore, he really wanted to resolve the enmity between the Dragons and the Phoenixes. At the very least, he wanted to find a way for both races to survive even if both sides would suffer heavy losses.
Of course, whether this path would work or not was not something that he alone could decide.
Even so, Ou Yangming believed that regardless of whether it was within the Phoenixes or the Dragons, many of the members had such thoughts. Otherwise, Feng Xiang alone would not be able to hold up the Peacemaking Sect.
‘Hmm, the Dragons!’
Among the Dragons, there should also be powerhouses with such thoughts. Nevertheless, Ou Yangming did not know how to contact them. After all, with the situation where the Dragons and the Phoenixes were at loggerheads, even a knowledgeable person would not dare to risk the world’s condemnation and communicate with them in private.
Ou Yangming walked slowly while all kinds of thoughts appeared in his mind. He did not know why but after he learned of the situation, he had been focused on thinking of how to help Feng Xiang so that the Peacemaking Sect could gain the upper hand in the Phoenixes. He never thought of using the opportunity of the war between the 2 races to increase his strength.
Perhaps this had something to do with his special physique and encounters. Perhaps in the deepest part of his heart, he did not want to see that break out of the war more than anyone else.
All of a sudden, Ou Yangming’s footsteps came to a halt. He raised his head and looked in a certain direction.
A figure appeared in front of him.
This was the Phoenixes’ ancestral land, hence it would not be strange to see a certain powerhouse from the race here. Despite that, if a certain powerhouse appeared without warning and stared at you with a piercing gaze, it would be unusual.
Moreover, if the powerhouse was the most influential figure in the Main Combat Sect, the situation would be even more different.
“Feng Xinxiao,” Ou Yangming enunciated each word clearly.
His eyebrows furrowed slightly because he really did not understand why the powerhouse from the Main Combat Sect was looking for him.

Logically speaking, Ou Yangming was Feng Xiang’s guest and was enemies with Feng Xinxiao. Having said that, if Feng Xinxiao wanted to harm him in the Phoenixes’ ancestral land… Though the young fellow did not have a deep understanding of the Phoenixes yet, he would not believe that Feng Xinxiao would do such a stupid thing here.
Feng Xinxiao looked coldly at Ou Yangming and said, “My father has invited you. Do you have the courage to meet him?”
Ou Yangming was stunned. Then, he laughed involuntarily and responded, “Meet Senior Feng Tian? I couldn’t have asked for more.”
Feng Xinxiao raised his eyebrows and said, “Okay, let’s go.”
He turned around and took the lead, but a trace of jealousy could be seen in the depths of his eyes, and it could not be concealed no matter what.
This was because he was very clear that Feng Tian wanted to meet Ou Yangming not because he wanted to kill the young fellow, but because he wanted to rope him in. After all, the bloodline of the Phoenix King flowed in the human’s body. Even though Feng Tian was the leader of the Main Combat Sect, he was still a member of the Phoenixes. He would not stint on getting Ou Yangming to submit to the Main Combat Sect.
However, Feng Xinxiao was not willing to do so.
Not long after, Feng Xinxiao stopped in front of a gorgeous big house. He said in a clear voice, “Father, Ou Yangming has arrived.”
“Please come in.” A voice filled with dignity sounded from inside the house.
Ou Yangming nodded slightly. He walked past Feng Xinxiao and entered the house as if he was not being unmindful.
As soon as Ou Yangming met Feng Tian’s gaze in the air, his heart skipped a beat. He felt a terrifying pressure that was difficult to describe. This pressure came from Feng Tian himself. The strength of the pressure was simply unimaginable.
When Ou Yangming was with Feng Mu, the old man gave off a peaceful feeling. In particular, his eyes were as gentle as jade and as deep as the sea. They were unpredictable
On the contrary, Feng Tian’s body was filled with an intense and irresistible aura. This aura made him stand high above as if in this world, other than him, all the other living beings had to bow their heads in submission when they saw him.
Between the 2 powerhouses from the Phoenixes, one was as calm as water, whereas the other was as aggressive as fire. They had completely different styles.
That said, if Ou Yangming really had to evaluate them, he could not tell which one was more powerful.
Retracting his thoughts, Ou Yangming cupped his hands and greeted, “I’ve long heard of your great name, senior.”
Feng Tian smiled indifferently, but the majesty from his body did not disappear along with his smile. This was because this imposing aura had merged with his body’s instincts. As long as his true body was present, his imposing aura would fill the air. This was also something that other living beings could not resist.

“Ou Yangming, a human, but obtained the bloodline inheritance of the Phoenix King.”
The young fellow mused for a moment before replied, “Senior, I was merely lucky.”
“Heh, since you could obtain the bloodline of our king, you must be fated.” Feng Tian’s eyes flashed. The aura on his body seemed to have become a little sharper, and it unintentionally spread out. It pressed down like a mountain, causing Ou Yangming’s breathing to stop for a moment.
‘Feng Tian’s certainly much stronger than Feng Xinxiao and Feng Xiang.’
This was the only thought that flashed through Ou Yangming’s mind at this moment. Nonetheless, he could not tell how exactly mighty Feng Tian was.
Feng Tian stared at Ou Yangming and said indifferently, “Fated one, after you came to the Great Wide World, you defeated a Ruler from the Dragons in your first battle. That’s… Very good.”
Ou Yangming smiled bitterly to himself. He had helped Feng Xiang defeat the dragon powerhouse but to be honest, he had no choice at that time. After all, he could not help the unknown Dragons to deal with Feng Xiang. Nevertheless, based on Feng Tian’s words, it seemed like he had done it deliberately.
Feng Tian continued, “Since you attacked the Dragons, it proves that the bloodline in your body is pure and flawless.”
Ou Yangming was stunned and asked in surprise, “Senior, what do you mean?”
“The Phoenixes and the Dragons are eternal enemies and can’t coexist. Any phoenix with a pure bloodline is born to hate the Dragons. I’m very pleased that you followed the instinct of your bloodline to do things.” Feng Tian nodded slowly and seemed to admire Ou Yangming a lot.
Ou Yangming was flabbergasted. He thought to himself, ‘I only helped Feng Xiang defeat a dragon powerhouse. How did it involve my bloodline?’
Even so, at this point, he could only bite the bullet and continue listening with a bitter smile.
Feng Tian’s gaze turned, and he suddenly said, “Feng Mu looked for you. What did he say?”
Ou Yangming was startled. He thought for a moment and answered seriously, “Senior Feng Mu told me about the Ancient War between the Dragons and the Phoenixes.” He paused for a moment before he continued, “Senior Feng Mu said that the strength of the Dragons and the Phoenixes have gradually recovered to their peaks, and there are signs of continued fighting between the races. If we let this go on, the past might repeat itself.” He raised his head and looked at Feng Tian seriously, trying to find a trace of signs from the influential figure’s face.
Who knew, Feng Tian’s expression did not change in the slightest.
He coldly remarked, “Hmph, what did he mean by the past repeating itself? The Great Wide World may be huge, but it can’t accommodate 2 incredibly powerful races.” His voice was suddenly raised by a notch as he sternly added, “Either the Phoenixes or the Dragons can exist.”
Ou Yangming inhaled a deep breath of air. When Feng Tian was furious, his powerful aura did not decrease at all. In fact, the pressure from him was so great that it could cause one to lay prone on the ground. That being said, the young fellow’s body was straight. He was an indomitable person. No matter how that fearsome aura surged, he was fearless and unyielding.
In the distance, Feng Xinxiao looked at Ou Yangming, whose back was as straight as a mountain. While he was jealous, a hint of admiration actually flashed in his eyes.
Not to mention a human, even among the Phoenixes, only a handful had the strength and courage to stand in front of the furious Feng Tian. At the very least, even Feng Xinxiao might not have the guts to do so.
Of course, this was probably because Ou Yangming did not know how frightening Feng Tian was. Ignorant people were fearless.
Feng Xinxiao tried to comfort himself.
“Senior.” Ou Yangming cupped his hands and saluted. He asked in a clear voice, “May I ask how massive the Great Wide World is?”
Feng Tian answered coldly, “It’s endless.”
“Can the Phoenixes finish exploring this world?”
“Absolutely impossible.”
“If that’s the case, why can’t the 2 races coexist in the Great Wide World?” Ou Yangming solemnly asked.
The corners of Feng Tian’s mouth slightly curled up. As if he had heard the funniest words, he questioned, “You want to ask why the 2 races can’t reconcile, right?”
“Yes,” Ou Yangming seriously said, “If the Great Wide World can no longer accommodate so many powerhouses, it’s understandable for the 2 races to kill each other for the sake of their own interests. However, since both of you have yet to fully explore the Great Wide World, and there are still a large number of regions for the 2 races to develop, why isn’t reconciliation possible?”
Feng Tian slowly raised his head, his eyes carrying a trace of ridicule, “You should ask the Dragons about this. Heh, to tell you the truth, even if the Phoenixes are willing to reconcile, do you think that the Dragons can accept it?” He looked at Ou Yangming and repeated word by word, “Remember, the blood feud between the Dragons and the Phoenixes has been in our bones for generations. It can never be… Reversed. This is a war between races. If you die, I die. However, the loser will be exterminated while the winner will be reborn from the flames and dominate the Great Wide World.”
It was relatively easy to form a grudge, but it was difficult to resolve it.
Ou Yangming naturally understood this principle so when he heard these words, he could not help but feel speechless.
The blood feud between the Dragons and the Phoenixes might really have seeped into their bones. How could it be resolved so easily?
‘Senior Feng Mu, can your wish really be fulfilled…’
