Chapter 1149: 1149
Ou Yangming had a strange feeling. He looked at a petal falling elegantly in the sky, and a faint power of law appeared on his body.
The petal that fell gracefully seemed to pause for a moment, and its speed gradually decreased in Ou Yangming’s perspective.
Ou Yangming swore that he was not mistaken. Its speed had definitely slowed down. The petals that fell almost at the same time in the distance had landed on the ground, but the one on his side was still floating in the air.
“This is…” Ou Yangming’s eyes were filled with surprise. This was the law of time. Ou Yangming had come into contact with it a long time ago, but he had never taken the initiative to control it.
The feeling was very comfortable.
Just like the ruler of all living things, time and space were the kings of laws that could command all laws.
Ou Yangming suddenly felt a swelling pain in his head, and he hurriedly withdrew his mental power. The power of laws in his body gradually dissipated, and the petals floating in the air quickly fell to the ground as if they had just woken up from a dream.
The young fellow looked ecstatic. After drinking the water where the Dragon Fragrant Herb was soaked in, he could control the law of time.
The power of the law was very weak, by which he could only control a small area and a thin petal.
Even so, it was enough for Ou Yangming to be excited. This was the law of time. A good start was the most important thing. As long as he understood the law, as his understanding of the law deepened, its power would increase slowly in the future to the level of the majestic voice in his mind.
When the voice spoke, the law followed, and the universe froze. What kind of terrifying ability was that?
Ou Yangming carefully put away the remaining 4 stalks of the Dragon Fragrant Herb. He had far underestimated the effects of the Grade 7 spiritual herbs.
Apart from that, Ou Yangming also knew that the majestic spear in his mind earlier was the second move of the Supreme Spear Principle. It was just a pity that he simply could not comprehend such a profound art at the moment. Nevertheless, he was certain of one thing. If he wanted to master the second move of that principle, he would have to learn how to control the law of time.
The small Dragon Fragrant Herb gave Ou Yangming an astonishing harvest. After experiencing the power of the law of time a few more times, he was exhausted. He could only relax his mind and recover his exhausted spiritual sea.
Early the next morning, the dragon emperor sent over the Divine Dragon Mirror. It was an ancient mirror that looked like it was made of bronze.

“Is this the Divine Dragon Mirror?”
Ou Yangming looked at the mirror. He could feel a vast and ancient aura from it. This mirror must have experienced a long time.
In the middle of the mirror, a centipede-like crack could be seen. This crack was also the main culprit that made the mirror lose its effectiveness.
The dragon emperor nodded. “Lil’ Friend Ou, this is the Dragons’ inheritance treasure, the Divine Dragon Mirror. You should study it first. If you need any materials or ores, you can ask Great Elder Long Shao to prepare them, or you can also contact me directly. Just do your best. Even if you can’t do it, you don’t have to blame yourself.”
Ou Yangming said in a deep voice, “I’ll do my best.”
The dragon emperor did not disturb Ou Yangming. After delivering the item, he left. Before he left, he instructed the young fellow to let him know if he needed anything.
Ou Yangming did not dare to be careless because the Divine Dragon Mirror was unusual. He picked up the mirror and carefully observed it. The material used for the mirror was very special. He needed to find ores with the same attributes before he could try to repair the mirror.
The young fellow had been a smithing apprentice in the army, so he knew that in some cases, repairing a piece of equipment was not much easier than smithing a new one. The only benefit was that materials could be saved.
‘Should I try using the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron?’
Ou Yangming thought to himself. The Earth’s Demolition Cauldron was an Innate Spiritual Treasure. It should not be a problem to repair an Acquired Taoist Tool.
Despite that, Ou Yangming was not. If it did not work and the Divine Dragon Mirror was destroyed, he would not be able to explain himself.
Just as Ou Yangming had this thought, the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron in his body moved. This small movement was noticed by Ou Yangming.
Ou Yangming looked shocked. The Earth’s Demolition Cauldron seemed to be communicating with him. ‘An Innate Spiritual Treasure actually has such a magical ability?’
Pieces of equipment beyond magic weapons had spirits. If that was the case for Acquired Taoist Tools, it must be even more the case for Innate Spiritual Treasures. After the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron recognized its master, it could communicate with Ou Yangming telepathically. Naturally, the young fellow’s thoughts were clear to it.
The Earth’s Demolition Cauldron jumped again as if it was responding to Ou Yangming’s question. Although the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron did not say a word, the young fellow could clearly feel its thought.
Ou Yangming did not hesitate. Since the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron said yes, he had to try. If the cauldron really could succeed, it would save him a lot of trouble.
After calling the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron out from his body, Ou Yangming threw the Divine Dragon Mirror in, and the purple flames danced in his hand.

Ou Yangming was very careful. If he felt that something was wrong, he would take out the Divine Dragon Mirror as soon as possible.
After about 15 minutes, a golden light flashed on the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron.
Ou Yangming’s face lit up. A small ball of spiritual power flew out from his hand and wrapped around the mirror in the cauldron.
If there were no accidents, it meant that he had succeeded.
The Divine Dragon Mirror was smithed into a fiery red color. After a while, the color gradually faded. The golden surface of the mirror had no marks at all as if it had always been like this.
Putting aside whether he succeeded or not, at least on the surface, the mirror was repaired. As for its function, he had no way to verify it.
As a Taoist Tool, the Divine Dragon Mirror could only be used after it recognized its master. This item was not his, so Ou Yangming could not let it recognize him as its master.
After doing all this, Ou Yangming withdrew the Earth’s Demolition Cauldron and sent the dragon emperor a voice transmission according to the emperor’s instructions.
The dragon emperor pushed open the door from the outside and entered. “Lil’ Friend Ou, how is it? Do you know how to repair it?”
He did not know that Ou Yangming had repaired it as the young fellow did not mention that in his voice transmission just now.
“Senior, I’ve already tried to repair it. I don’t know the result so please come and verify it,” Ou Yangming responded slowly.
“You’ve repaired it? Are you kidding me?”
The dragon emperor was in disbelief. He had only left for a short while, but Ou Yangming said that he had repaired the mirror. He glanced around the room and soon found the Divine Dragon Mirror on the table.
He moved and arrived at the side of the table in half a step. He glanced at the mirror on the table with shock.
If not for the fact that there was no change in the aura on the mirror, the dragon emperor would have thought that the mirror had been replaced by someone else.
The crack in the middle of the mirror had disappeared, and the surface was as clean as new. It was completely different from when he had brought it over.
“Lil’ Friend Ou, how… How did you do it?”
The dragon emperor’s eyes were filled with disbelief. Before he had asked Ou Yangming, he had also asked other blacksmiths to try it.
Those who could be asked by the dragon emperor were certainly the top blacksmiths in the Great Wide World but even they shook their heads right after seeing the Divine Dragon Mirror. They could not even get rid of the crack on it.
The change in the mirror shocked the dragon emperor at this moment. It had only been a short while, so how did Ou Yangming do it?
Ou Yangming did not say anything. His gaze was fixed on the dragon emperor. Seeing this, the emperor smiled awkwardly. “Ah, it’s your secret, Lil’ Friend Ou. I won’t ask about it.”
The young fellow looked at the Divine Dragon Mirror and said, “Emperor, you should give it a try first.”
Ou Yangming still had some confidence. After all, he could also feel the confidence of the cauldron.
“Alright, I’ll give it a try first.”
The dragon emperor did not speak anymore. He picked up the Divine Dragon Mirror with one hand, and the aura on his body burst out. At the same time, numerous images began to appear on the mirror. There were Teleportation Formations, the colosseum, and even the starry sky in the outside realm.
These images kept switching. It was entirely up to the dragon emperor to see what he wanted to see.
Ou Yangming had a faint smile on his face. Since the mirror could be used, it meant that the restoration had been successful.
After a while, the dragon emperor stopped. He looked at Ou Yangming with excitement and said in a deep voice, “Lil’ Friend Ou, you’re truly our lucky star.”
The dragon emperor kept the Divine Dragon Mirror back and continued, “It’s time for me to fulfill my promise to you. Originally, I planned to let you choose any one of the treasures in the treasury but since you used your materials this time, I’ll let you choose 2. I’ll open the treasury for you, and you can choose as you like.”
“Thank you, senior.” Ou Yangming beamed.
“You’re welcome. This is what you deserve.” The dragon emperor flew into the sky with Ou Yangming and went to the depths of the 10,000 Dragons Valley.
In the sky above a huge mountain, the dragon emperor made a gesture. Light flashed, and the huge mountain let out a cracking sound. The mountain split into two.
At the bottom of the mountain, a huge bronze door appeared. The dragon emperor took a key from his neck.
The giant bronze door opened, and a rotten smell came from inside. The dragon emperor smiled and explained, “This treasury hasn’t been opened for 200 years.”
“Go in. You’re the first human to enter this place.” The dragon emperor led the way, and Ou Yangming followed closely behind.
Ou Yangming did not know why, but he felt uneasy in this place as if some prehistoric giant beasts were hidden in this treasury.
All of a sudden, a hoarse and old voice sounded behind them.. Ou Yangming felt a chill run down his spine.

Re: Dragonize
After an unexpected turn of events, Drew must now survive in a world full of challenges with life-or-death stakes. Gone are the days when the biggest problems to face were awkward small-talk at physics department luncheons or mountains of lab work; this former physicist is now adrift in an unfamiliar land without any equipment. Now, Drew's only tool (if it can be called that) is a System, which provides constant reminders of all of the things that are still out of reach for a low-level being who's just arrived in a new world. Luckily, Drew has one powerful asset when taking on the challenges of this new world: surviving violent conflict is a lot easier when you have the power of a dragon at your disposal. Still, Drew has always considered violence a last resort. Why turn to fists (or claws) when a bit of quiet consideration might expose a better path forward? Maybe a life of quiet contemplation is still within reach for this former academic researcher. ...Or maybe not. It probably won't be a life of bloodless pacifism. Additional information for those who wish to calibrate their expectations (I'm adding this based on a few comments I received from readers who feel that the story is not what they expected from a dragon-themed story): Re: Dragonize is not a power fantasy -- or at least, it's not intended to be one. Re: Dragonize is a progression fantasy starting with a protagonist who must start at the bottom (or close to it), and work gradually upwards, making incremental progress with plenty of setbacks along the way. The protagonist, as someone coming from the world of academia, tends to be cautious, methodical, and contemplative. As such, expect this story to contain more than a few digressions as the main character takes the time to pontificate on a variety of topics ranging from Newtonian physics and horology to the nature of existence and the ethical dilemmas associated with being an obligate carnivore.
