《JJBA X Reader》jotaro: off limits

Setting: SDC era but Kakyoin and Jotaro met normally lol, you're Y/N Kakyoin.
Content: Fluff, a little angst
Growing up, you got to watch your timid older brother become a kind but confident man. But of course, a new personality calls for new friends. Your brother is a third year, and you're a second year. After transferring to a new school because you moved to Tokyo from Osaka, your brother became friends with the most emo man ever.
They were always together and you watched as Nori tried making the Jotaro Kujo smile, but he failed almost every time. You would often catch Jotaro sitting in your living room playing video games with your brother. Every time you saw him in your home, you locked yourself in your room because he was definitely a distraction.
As stoic as he looked, you found him attractive— just like the rest of the school. But you know he won't see you as anything more than "Noriaki's younger sister".
One time, you woke up for a midnight snack because your stomach felt empty as you slept. You opened the fridge and found Jotaro right behind the fridge door when you closed it.
"AH!!" you screamed, "What are you doing here at midnight?!"
"Video games and food, obviously," he responds.
Your face flushes a crimson red as his eyes glimmer with the dim lights.
"W-Well you should go home. Your mom is probably worried sick," you suggest.
"Nah," he says, leaning over you, "I like it here more."
You back away and walk to your room, "You're right. Who wouldn't want to hang out with your best friend at midnight?"
You walk up the stairs to your room, feeling the heat on your cheeks.
Jotaro watches you and mutters under his breath, "Not the only reason."
~~~~~~~
You leave the school at the sound of the bell to find a heated but civil argument in one of the classrooms. You couldn't hear what they were saying. However, you opened the door to find your brother and Jotaro glaring at each other.
"What's going on?" you ask.
"Nothing," Nori smiles, "Just boy behaviour."
Jotaro looks off to the side, not wanting to say a word.
You give your brother an unconvinced look, "Okay, let's go home?"
You make quick eye contact with Jotaro and instantly blush. You can't help but notice that he looks so hurt and vulnerable.
Your brother nods and you two head home as Jotaro reflects on the argument. One thing he knows for sure is that this was not the end of it.
~~~~~~~
You find Jotaro in your home again. He came out of the bathroom as you were about to go in. You walked away hastily but he caught your wrist.
"Wh-What are you doing?" you ask him.
"Why do you always run from me?" he responds.
"I-I'm not running, I was walking! There's nothing wrong with avoiding a complete stranger in your house," you retort.
Noriaki comes out of his room to find Jotaro's hand on your wrist. Anger slowly fills him and he looks like he's about to yell.
Because you didn't want them to argue over literally nothing, you shook your way out of Jotaro's arm and ran to your room, shutting the door immediately.
A while later, Noriaki comes back to your room and knocks. You let him in and he sits on your bed gently.
"Y/N..." he begins, "I've noticed that you've taken particular interest in Jotaro."
Your eyes widen in surprise, "Nori, it's not like that! He's just so-"
"Hot? Attractive?" he cuts in, "Yeah. Everyone thinks that. He's off limits, Y/N. He's going to break your heart, I know it."
You get defensive towards your brother. "You can't tell me who's off limits and who's not. If he wants me, then by all means, I wouldn't mind being with him! But if he doesn't, that's fine too!"
His eyebrows furrow with stress, "Y/N, you don't know him like I do. He's going to play with your heart. He can lose feelings for you in a snap. Trust me, Y/N. He's going to hurt you."

Your head drops down in disappointment. Perhaps he was right. That's what should be expected from someone like Jotaro.
"It's not like he would like me anyways," you mutter.
Nori hesitates to tell you something, but ends up leaving the room.
~~~~~~~
1 month later...
You wake up at midnight in a bad mood. It's because you were hungry. You went back down to grab a midnight snack but caught Jotaro in your pantry.
"Hopefully you're not planning to finish my pocky," you joke. (pocky SMACKS)
He pulls the last package out of the pantry and hands it to you, "I would've eaten it if it wasn't the last one."
You refuse and say, "No, no, just take it. You're the guest. I'll find something else."
"Okay, well how about we share it?" he suggests.
You blush and agree.
As you sit on your couch beside Jotaro, he opens the package and offers you the first one. From there, you two ate it one by one until it was finished. The problem? There was an odd number of pocky. You force him to take it and you two playfully argued on who should eat the last one. You smile at him as he eats the last piece with guilt.
"You know, Kujo, I find it so weird that you haven't had a girlfriend yet," you admit.
"It's hard when the girl you like is so oblivious to everything," he replies.
You were about to open your mouth to speak, but you heard heavy footsteps on the staircase. It was your brother.
You quickly hid behind your kitchen's island counter and stayed there.
"Jojo, why are you down here eating alone?" Nori asks him.
"I don't know. I liked the silence," he answers.
Noriaki doesn't believe him, "Was Y/N here?"
Jotaro hesitates to answer, then lies, "No. I didn't see her."
He raises an eyebrow, "I bet she ran back up to her room after seeing you. She likes you for no reason, Jojo."
Your heart races, how come he flat-out exposed you like that?!
"I'm fine with that," Jotaro responds nonchalantly.
Nori scoffs, "Yeah, because I know you like her. I told you, bro. She's off limits."
Hold on... what?! He liked you too?
Noriaki continues, "You're just going to break her heart. You're cruel to every woman on earth, even your own mother! I can't let you hurt her, she's too innocent to be caught up in your games."
Jotaro gets up defensively and gets right in front of your brother's face, "When was I ever cruel to Y/N? I'm not going to break her heart. She's too precious for that and you know it. That's why you're so protective of her. But guess what? You can't get in the way of us, okay? Don't tell us who we can love and who we can't."
Kakyoin demands that Jotaro leaves the house, and he does. You get up from behind the counter and yell at your brother, "What kind of brother are you? He has never had a girlfriend before, so how do you know that he's no good? You're just as cruel... don't talk to me until you accept the fact that I like him for everything, not just his looks!"
You dash out of the house, following Jotaro. You catch up to him and grab his wrist. He turns around and the frown on his face lightened up, "Y/N, what are you doing?"
"I'm ran here to tell you that I've always liked you, Jotaro. And even though my brother told both of us that we were off limits, I don't care. I really like you, and I always avoided you because I can't stop blushing around you," you confess.
For the first time ever, a genuine smile appears on his face, "Y/N, I... always noticed you. I thought Noriaki fully brainwashed you into thinking I'm no good, and that's why you avoided me."
You shake your head and hug him tight, not wanting to let go despite your brother's efforts to pull you two apart from the very beginning.
Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
