Chapter 539: 539
Chapter 539: Cloud For A Beast’s Body
“Xiao Huo, what are you doing? Come back here at once,” scolded Lin Jin with an intentional scowl. Upon hearing Lin Jin’s voice, Xiao Huo opened his mouth to swallow the embers that surrounded General Sky Lion before reverting to his usual size. Then, he turned into a ball of flames and slipped back into Lin Jin’s arm.
Subsequently, Lin Jin bowed at Feng Junwu. “Your Majesty, due to my pet beast’s inexperience, it has offended General Sky Lion by mistake. Please issue a punishment that you think is appropriate.”
Feng Junwu finally snapped out of his daze.
Although he didn’t know the specifics of what happened, he could more or less guess what happened here.
Simply put, General Sky Lion lost the battle. It had wanted to bully Lin Jin’s pet beast but it ended up being the victim instead.
Looking at General Sky Lion’s appearance, it had now lost all intimidation and dominance. How humiliating!
Despite this, now wasn’t the time to discuss punishments. General Sky Lion’s injuries should be examined because if its core was damaged, that would spell a huge loss for their country.
Meanwhile, the little officer behind Feng Junwu glared at Lin Jin.
Feng Junwu couldn’t possibly punish Lin Jin in this situation so he stayed silent. Lin Jin then offered, “Your Majesty, General Sky Lion is badly hurt. If Your Majesty allows it, I can treat General Sky Lion.”
Feng Junwu had now snapped out of his reverie. Could Lin Jin have already known that General Sky Lion intended to cause trouble? Before this, Lin Jin hadn’t shown signs of worry at all. Now that he thought about it, Lin Jin must have been confident from the start.
Since he had heard about Lin Jin’s achievements as a beast appraiser, it didn’t hurt to let him take a look at General Sky Lion.
“We’ll be troubling you then, Appraiser Lin,” replied Feng Junwu.

Lin Jin approached General Sky Lion, who had lost all of its brutish dominance. Like a frightened bunny, the bulky lion acted as if it had just survived a brush with death.
“Don’t come close!” Seeing Lin Jin walk towards it, General Sky Lion immediately backed away. It had been traumatized by the fire wolf.
Xiao Huo was too scary.
Sticking to their usual routine, it wanted to startle Xiao Huo first before teaching him a lesson. Yet, without warning, the fire wolf had beaten it to the ground and rubbed its face against the floor.
Reluctant to give in, General Sky Lion thought of fighting back but it was abruptly overwhelmed with flames which destroyed its cloud body. After that happened, its actual body hidden underneath was revealed.
That wasn’t even the worst part. Those horrifying flames had scorched its body, burning away the fur that formed a fundamental part of its majestic appearance. Now, it looked nothing short of battered.
It was that instant that General Sky Lion realized the power disparity between it and the fire wolf. Although they were both Rank 5, the fire wolf could easily overwhelm it without suffering a scratch.
No matter how it refused to admit, that was a fact.
The experience had been humiliating but staying alive was more important. So, when Lin Jin started approaching General Sky Lion, it backed away out of fear that Lin Jin would release his fire wolf again to deal with it once and for all.
“Don’t be afraid, General Sky Lion. I’ve already reprimanded my companion. I will be providing you treatment now,” Lin Jin said smilingly with a salute.
The rugged General Sky Lion scooted far into the corner of the wall as it stared helplessly at the emperor.
Out of a sudden, it regained its composure and replied, “If you want to treat me then go ahead.”
From its tone, it appeared to be skeptical towards the fact that Lin Jin could fully heal its wounds.

Leaving everything aside, its cloud body would be very challenging to recover. General Sky Lion had used several years to cultivate this cloud body, so if it wanted to cultivate again, it would probably take another decade.
General Sky Lion had suffered greatly this time. However, it was aware that there was no one to blame but itself for being weaker than Xiao Huo.
Lin Jin didn’t seem bothered. He went over and casually patted the scorched patches of General Sky Lion’s body. Clouds of mists appeared in the places he touched.
While General Sky Lion may seem severely wounded, its core wasn’t damaged. After all, Xiao Huo knew when to hold back. Bullies should never blame others for retaliating, and Xiao Huo would always retaliate to a limited extent. If he had gone all the way, General Sky Lion wouldn’t be speaking right now.
However, it remained undeniable that its cloud body had been destroyed. This cloud body was General Sky Lion’s unique skill, which allowed it to easily hover and move about in the air. With its unique ability gone, General Sky Lion’s competency was greatly reduced. The emperor must be fuming from the ears, but he had nowhere to vent his frustration.
Lin Jin didn’t particularly care because he considered this a minor conflict. He was repaying injury with kindness so the emperor had to accept his favor.
Others may not be able to help General Sky Lion with its lost cloud body, but that wasn’t an issue for Lin Jin. His water reservoir scale could accumulate water into mist. Lin Jin even knew Carrier Cloud which allowed him to control the clouds as he wished. Rebuilding a cloud body for General Sky Lion would be as easy as ABC.
However, this only applied to Lin Jin. To most people, the task remained impossible.
“Clouds, come forth!” With the Body Recast, Psyche Refining Needle, Lin Jin forced out the remaining clouds inside General Sky Lion’s body. Using the water energy from the clouds in the sky and the water reservoir scale, he could rebuild a cloud body by blending all three energies.
The palace guards stationed nearby watched as the young appraiser summon a piece of cloud from the sky. The sight sent goosebumps all over their bodies.
His phenomenal actions made him seem like a legendary immortal.
Forget the guards, even their emperor, Feng Junwu started breathing heavily.
‘What kind of ability is this? Just how extraordinary can this person be?’ As monarch of a premium country, Feng Junwu boasted profound knowledge. And yet, this was his first time seeing someone summon clouds seemingly effortlessly.
The little officer behind him was gaping as well. The initial rage on his face had now been replaced with curiosity.
‘Can he rebuild the cloud body?’ the little officer mumbled inwardly.
Meanwhile, Lin Jin was busy combining all three energies. In the process, he encountered an issue. The three energies were refusing to blend into one. Of course, Lin Jin had a solution to this.
The Body Recast, Psyche Refining Needle was the solution. This technique was much stronger than the pulse-seeking technique. With a flick of his fingers, the gleaming needles swiftly weaved all three energies together as if they were crafting an outfit for General Sky Lion.
An outfit made of clouds.
Once finished, Lin Jin patted General Sky Lion with the water reservoir scale in hand. General Sky Lin immediately started purring out of pleasure. Its burn wounds were stinging in pain, but thanks to the cloud body, it felt as if a layer of cooling water had washed away the pain. It felt nothing but comfort now.
Lin Jin retrieved his needles and water reservoir scale with a smile.
“General Sky Lion, how do you feel now?”
