Chapter 767: Tianzun’s Pill Furnace
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Unlike when he first came here, Lin Jin now had many former immortals by his side. All of them were at his beck and call and they continued forward with much gusto.
Cai Die remained in her butterfly form, perched on Lin Jin’s shoulder, and silent. Most of the time, the talkative immortals were the ones chattering away.
Maybe it was because they hadn’t been able to talk in such a carefree manner for two thousand years, or maybe it was because it had been so long since they walked and talked under the bright sky.
“Mr. Lin, it’s such a surprise that the mortal realm has changed so much. I really can’t imagine it. If I have the opportunity, I’d like to visit the mortal realm,” an immortal said.
Not only him, but the other immortals who had performed Mortal Conversion also thought the same.
After all, they were mortals now, strictly speaking. And it was normal for mortals to enter the mortal realm. The mortal realm was also known as a world of sensual pleasures. Prior to this, for the sake of stabilizing their cultivation and abiding by the rules of the Nine-Heaven Realm, immortals weren’t permitted to enter the mortal realm so easily. Now that nothing held them back, they could go wherever they pleased.
Some even thought that traveling in the mortal realm sounded like fun.
Also, they weren’t exactly ordinary mortals.
Although they lost their cultivation, they still had thousands of years’ worth of knowledge. Also, they had immortal-grade pet beasts. Some immortals didn’t actually weaken, but strengthened up instead.
And this was all thanks to Lin Jin, so they were quite enthusiastic in helping him.
The Nine-Heaven Realm was a vast place. If they only relied on flying to travel, god knows how long it would take to reach Tianzun’s residence.
“That ahead, is a transport array that uses an eternal spirit stone as its foundation. It can still be used even after two thousand years,” an immortal announced.

When they arrived, it was truly as he had said.
Although the buildings here seemed somewhat rundown from lack of care over a long period of time, the transport array looked perfectly fine. It still had a spirit energy ring that moved upward, taking the form of a light pillar.
If he had been alone, Lin Jin wouldn’t have known what this thing was for. The benefits of having a group of immortals following him around now presented themselves. Without Lin Jin having to worry about things, the immortals began securing a direction. According to them, there were a total of nine hundred and eighty-one transport arrays in the entire Nine-Heaven Realm, spread out in every location. Even if a person knew what this array did, they would be transported to a random location without knowing the fixed coordinates.
If the trajectory was slightly off, it would be difficult to even return to the original place.
But the array was incredibly convenient for those who were familiar with using it.
“Tianzun’s alchemy room is hidden somewhere in the third sky. Many immortals don’t know about it, but I happen to know. I will lead you there now. With this transport array, it takes only moments. But if we were to fly there, it would take at least four months,” the inventory supervisor said, sounding as if he was seeking credit.
Lin Jin nodded and said, “Thank you for your hard work.” The inventory supervisor was more than satisfied.
Without Lin Jin having to do anything, the immortals did all the work. Although they had lost their immortal cultivation, they were just as efficient, with pet beasts to enhance them. Everything was ready in a short while.
Upon activation, the array flashed brightly. Lin Jin felt spirit energy gather around them and his vision was now a myriad of colors. When the colors disappeared, he and the immortals were now in a different location.
This place seemed to stretch on forever with no end in sight.
Above them was a starry sky. They could even see the Milky Way in the distance. And this wasn’t the most shocking part.

What stunned Lin Jin was the huge furnace up ahead.
Lin Jin had a basic understanding of the Heaven & Earth Furnace and had asked about it before too. So he had an idea of what it was supposed to look like.
Still, his jaw dropped upon seeing the real thing.
“You guys call this a furnace?” he couldn’t help blurting out.
Because it didn’t seem like he was looking at a furnace, but rather a tiny planet.
A tiny planet placed inside the Nine-Heaven Realm. Floating in the middle of the sky, this furnace was much larger than anything Lin Jin had ever seen before.
Only, this wasn’t a normal planet, but one that had been modified and refined. Its insides had been emptied and it was said that a ninety-nine thousand blazing sun array was placed inside, that the fire would never go out.
But right now, the Heaven & Earth Furnace was completely pitch black.
The inventory supervisor who told Lin Jin about the furnace looked embarrassed. He probably didn’t expect Tianzun’s furnace to have stopped burning.
More importantly, he didn’t know how to start up the furnace either.
But he soon got excited again because he found the location of where the pills were stored, and the place didn’t have many restrictions. After all, Tianzun’s name had been so renowned back then that even the immortal emperor had to show him respect. So who would even try to steal anything from Tianzun’s place?
They would just be courting death.
For this reason, the pill storage was basically open all the time. Even after thousands of years, no one had the audacity to loot this place.
This, in turn, made things easier for Lin Jin.
It was also convenient for the other immortals too. Other than helping Lin Jin, they were actually here to help themselves too.
Tianzun’s pill storage had tons of pills. There were even more than a hundred variants of life-extension pills. Since they became mortals, their age limits would be about less than a hundred. This was too short to enjoy life, so they must have some life-extension pills ready.
These life-extension pills were not valuable to them at all in the past. It was the pills that helped in cultivation that they sought.
For instance, the Golden Tian Luo Pill, used in promoting profound immortals to unfettered immortal realm, could have easily caused a bloodbath in a fight over one pill.
Like heroes fighting over a damsel, contenders would do anything, even risk their lives or resort to underhanded tricks just to secure one.
But after converting into a mortal, these pills that helped in cultivation didn’t seem so attractive anymore. They were even worthless. Just like eunuchs staring at beauties, the thrill was long gone.
They now had only one desire—longevity.
The inside of the pill storage was another pocket realm so Lin Jin ended up seeing a room as vast as an ocean!
A pill ocean!
One of Tianzun’s unique traits was that he had a tendency to not care for trifle matters. He would craft pills every day, sometimes creating even more than ten batches a day. And he was a carefree person who didn’t care about properly storing his creations. Aside from meticulously putting away pills requested by renowned immortals so he wouldn’t misplace them, he basically tossed everything else into his pill storage.
As time passed, this place became a pill ocean. No one knew just how many pills this place housed, or how many types. Even Tianzun wouldn’t know if he were still alive.
Sometimes, when some immortals who had a good relationship with Tianzun wanted some pills, they would bring Tianzun fine wine or gifts. If Tianzun was pleased, he would grant them access to the pill ocean.
The pill ocean had every type of pill imaginable so whoever ventured inside was sure to come out satisfied.
In the past, an immortal’s standing in the immortal realm was evaluated by whether or not he had entered Tianzun’s pill ocean..
