Chapter 399: The Way To Establish The World
Translator: Dragon Boat Translation Editor: Dragon Boat Translation
“Are there any bad rumors about this sect master in the lower realm?”
While the alchemists were refining pills, Chen Chen was quietly watching and cautiously used his divine senses to ask his grandmaster questions.
Qing Mu said softly, “No…it’s nothing much. The introductions about him in the lower realm are quite positive.”
Chen Chen glanced at him and realized that his grandmaster was already sweating profusely.
Obviously, as a professional alchemist, the shock in his heart when he saw this scene was even greater.
…
After a long while, the alchemy furnace trembled slightly. Spiritual Master Yu Ding stopped using the flame to burn it and then opened the lid of the cauldron.
After he hooked his finger, a pitch-black pill flew out from inside and landed in his hand.
Perfected Yu Ding’s expression was calm. There was neither the malevolence of an evil cultivator nor the joy of an alchemist when he saw an extraordinary medicinal pill.
It was as if he was looking at an unimportant and irrelevant thing.
“This won’t do. It’s still not ready. This is a useless medicinal pill.”
A moment later, Perfected Yu Ding shook his head in disappointment. With a casual pinch, he crushed the medicinal pill into powder.
“Sect master, what are you…”
Qing Mu asked carefully. To be honest, the scene he saw today had somewhat overturned his worldview.
Perfected Yu Ding smiled indifferently and said, “Qing Mu, if you want to survive in the upper realm, you have to have your own things. If our Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect only had those ordinary pill formulas, we would have long been encroached on by others. Do you know that when I ascended, the strongest old sect master of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect was only at the middle stage of the Spirit Severing Stage? Moreover, he was seriously injured at that time and was on the verge of death?”
Qing Mu did not say anything else and only smiled bitterly.
The truth was just as Perfected Jade Tripod had said. The land of alienation in the upper realm had brought the law of the survival of the fittest to its extreme.
If not for that, his master, Fairy Wu Nian, would not have ended up like this.
In the end, he was still not strong enough… So what if he could obtain more power and study something slightly heretical?

It was better than losing someone close to him and not being able to do anything about it. Without realizing it, Qing Mu’s perspective had changed.
At this moment, Chen Chen said, “Sect Master, you destroyed the envoy of the Crimson Fiend sect. Can we handle it then?”
The sect master of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Clan looked at Chen Chen with a hint of admiration in his eyes.
This kid had entered the Spirit Severing stage not long after he ascended. He was much faster than he was back then. The key was that this kid had a natal treasure made of Omni Divine Gold. As long as he did not die, he might be able to bring the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect to greater heights in the future.
“Chen Chen, don’t worry. I have my own ways to deal with it. In this otherworldly land of the upper realm, being weak will only cause you to get bullied.
“Not to mention that I have a way to deal with the Crimson Fiend sect, even if I don’t have a solution, I will do it today. Otherwise, the Crimson Fiend sect will really think that we are pushovers.
“When the time comes, there might be some Yellow Fiend Sect or Black Fiend sect will come to provoke us. Instead of doing this, we might as well fight to the death. There might even be a chance of survival.”
Chen Chen did not say anything else after listening. The small and medium-sized sects in the upper realm were the same as the ordinary cultivators. The competition was especially intense. The Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect must have its own survival wisdom to be able to stand here for thousands of years.
…
After destroying the cultivator from the Crimson Fiend sect, Perfected Yu Ding brought Qing Mu and Chen Chen back to the sect.
They were traveling rather slowly during the journey. Perfected Yu Ding told many stories. For example, a long time ago, the Void Spirit Clan also had a base in the upper realm, but it was later destroyed.
For example, the Seven Lethal Demon Clan had been doing very well in the upper realm, and the sect had long moved out of the land of alienation.
Compared to Fairy Wu Nian, Perfected Yu Ding’s eloquence was undoubtedly much better. He had said so much so that Chen Chen and Qing Mu could adapt to the pace of the upper realm faster.

Time passed very quickly, and the three of them strolled aimlessly in the sect. After strolling for less than two hours, the sky in the north of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect suddenly darkened.
Immediately after, dark clouds churned and spiritual energy surged. A thousand-meter-long, malevolent-looking, blood-stained giant red ship broke through the clouds and flew toward the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect with an indomitable aura.
Upon seeing the giant ship, Perfected Yu Ding’s expression was calm. His expression was like that of an experienced old sailor who had encountered an ordinary storm.
“Sect Master Yu Ding! Get the hell out here!”
Before the huge ship arrived, a voice that sounded like thunder resounded in the sky.
The protective array of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect had already been activated. Many cultivators raised their heads to look at the huge ship in the sky. Everyone had different expressions.
“Get the hell out here!”
The voice sounded again. Soon after, a majestic figure flew out from the flying ship and stood on the sect protecting the formation of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect.
This cultivator was over two meters tall and had a towering horn on his head. His exposed skin was covered with scales and barbs, and his eyes were filled with contempt for life.
“I’m here.”
Perfected Jade Tripod raised his head and said to the tall figure with a smile.
The tall figure was naturally the Second Demon Venerable of the Crimson Fiend sect, an expert at the peak of the Spirit Severing stage.
“You’re the sect master of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect?”
The Second Demon Venerable stomped his feet and the protective array shook before he asked coldly.
“That’s right, I am.”
“Where is the envoy I sent to Your Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect?” The Second Demon Venerable asked again. His gaze was extremely dangerous, as if he would attack if Perfected Yu Ding gave a bad answer.
“I refined him into a pill. Unfortunately, his cultivation isn’t pure and his foundation isn’t solid. He wasn’t able to successfully refine the pill.”
Upon hearing this answer, the Second Demon Venerable’s expression froze.
He didn’t expect Perfected Yu Ding to be so direct. What surprised him even more was that the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect was actually so unyielding. The Crimson Fiend sect hadn’t even declared war yet, and the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect had already killed the emissary they sent.
Fortunately, the emissary they killed was his big brother’s subordinate and had nothing to do with him. With his death, he could instead ask for more help from his big brother.
Although he was only surprised, he still pretended to be furious and never mentioned the Linglong Divine Gold.
“You killed my son and a disciple of the Crimson Fiend sect. It seems that the Crimson Fiend sect is really not good enough. Even an alchemy sect dares to ignore us. Good, really good!”
Second Demon Venerable sneered twice, and his eyes instantly became extremely cold. Then, nearly a hundred cultivators flew out from the flying ship in the sky.
All of them were above the Void Refinement realm, and there were quite a few of them at the Spirit Severing stage.
Together with the Second Demon Venerable, this great expert, it was enough to destroy most of the sects in this land of transformation.
Perfected Yu Ding smiled and didn’t say anything. However, Chen Chen saw some disdain in his eyes, as if he didn’t care about this kind of power at all.
“Break the Great Formation for me, and kill whoever you see. Today, I will make sure that this Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect doesn’t leave a single chicken or dog alive!”
Second Demon Venerable waved his hand, and the hundred cultivators behind him began to attack the protective formation of the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect.
Second Demon Venerable himself looked at Perfected Yu Ding while secretly paying attention to Chen Chen.
His main target today was actually Chen Chen.
No matter how rich the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect was, it was only things like medicinal pills and Spirit Stones. What he really wanted was the Linglong Divine Gold, and Chen Chen was the key to finding the Linglong Divine Gold.
Rumble!
The sound of spiritual power colliding and exploding rang out, and an intense spiritual power tide was set off in the sky above the entire Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect.
However, after a full fifteen minutes, the faces of the nearly one hundred cultivators from the Crimson Fiend Sect all changed.
This was because they had attacked for so long, but because they were actually unable to shake the Jade Tripod Alchemy Sect’s defensive formation in the slightest.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

Hy'Ruh-Ha is a what I consider a chronicle fantasy. It is a fantasy drama coming of age story inspired by slice-of-life stories I've read and watched. It is heavy on the slice-of-life and does move slow. It is low-stakes fantasy. This particular story is romance free.(2 out the of 4 is re-uploaded under this title) And if you are someone who cares, the POV character is asexual. Crossroad(formally labeled as the intermission stories)- is a novella collection continuing the tale where Hy'ruh-Ha. The collection as followed: Wolf- After spending several months in the swamp post, Oeric'Sheldmartin returns to repair the chasm between him and his son, Soletus. However, a ghost from his past comes to haunt him and could ruin the life he's made completely. Note: Wolf is a bit of a character piece. POV character is Oeric. The Priest and the Priestess- A novella written in the POV of Mien and then Kiao after a series of unexpected events that change their lives. Mien's POV- Mien has spent the last couple of years working not only in the infirmary but training to become a combat chanter as part of his penitence. Then one day, a drug addled elf comes into infirmary and changes his perspective of a friend and puts his knowledge to the tests to figure out a mystery effecting children in town. *Spoiler warning* Kiao's POV- Kiao spent most of her time in the infirmary living the same daily secret filled life and until Mien changed it.
