Qi Yusen jumped in to translate, “He’s saying, you looked like you discovered something and you extended your hand out to him, so he was sure you were asking for a shovel.”
Qiao Qing then asked, “Brother, you know sign language?”
Qi Yusen, “Because I have him as a subordinate, I had to learn.”
Qiao Qing’s expression was difficult to explain. After a moment of silence, she said, “Honestly, I know sign language too.”
“So I know those gestures meant nothing. They definitely don’t mean what you said.”
