Xu Lu didn’t notice the change of expression on Xu Pingting’s face. She continued to mock, “She didn’t say which ‘Qiao’ or which ‘Qing’. She’s got such an attitude. It’s like she thinks she’s already the lady of the house.”

“It’s like she doesn’t know that students like her are only playthings for rich young masters due to their young age and their good looks. She actually thinks she’ll be able to marry rich?”

“Even when young master Gong is ready to get married, he’ll be marrying someone like you!”

Xu Pingting couldn’t for the life of her remember where she’d heard of that name. After Xu Lu’s calming words, she stopped worrying.

If she was someone with a story worth noting, then how come their relationship still wasn’t public?

Though she has mental OCD and didn’t like men who had flings, Gong Yi remained the most eligible bachelor in country Z.

She thought Qiao Qing must be someone who’s very incapable. The moment Xu Pingting showed up, she must’ve realized how flawed she was in comparison.

Qiao Qing had no idea about that devious woman’s thoughts. She focused on finding the spices she wanted.

After an hour, Qiao Qing saw a small purple flower, and her eyes brightened.

Xu Lu saw her reaction and made a face, “Since you’ve been searching for so long, I thought maybe you did know some things about these spices. But now, it’s obvious to me that you know absolutely nothing. Can’t you tell that this flower has a weird scent?!”

“You think pretty flowers can make good smelling perfumes? What a joke! This flower only looks good but it’s not usable! No perfumer would use it!”

Xu Pingting wasn’t far from them and looked over when she heard the commotion. When she saw the flower Qiao Qing picked, her lips also curled up.

She thought the woman Gong Yi had his eyes on may be somewhat capable, but she was just a vase after all.

Qiao Qing ignored them and simply used her tool to uproot the flower completely.

Then, she picked out all the flowers in the area and threw them into her basket.

On her way back, she picked out some bergamot.

Xu Lu snickered at the sight of that, “We have that extracted in our office! Yet you came here for the raw material?! Do you know how difficult it is to make oil out of that?! Out of 10kg, we may only extract 1g of oil. What’s the use of picking out these?!”

Qiao Qing was annoyed and lost her patience, “Shut up!”

Xu Lu’s lips parted at the shout and she stopped talking.

After Qiao Qing got what she came for, she went on her way.

Xu Lu was about to ask why she didn’t pick out any spices when a man suddenly jumped out of nowhere.

Upon closer look, she realized that the man who jumped out was the driver who drove them.

Lang Yin picked up the basket and glared at her before he walked out as well.

Xu Lu was shocked by this scene and mumbled to herself a little. She then followed.

Back at the office, Qiao Qing handed the Spiritual Cotton Flower to the lab and asked the staff to distillate it.

When the lab staff saw the flower she held, they were surprised, “You’re going to use this flower to make a perfume?”

Xu Lu mocked, “See? Even chemists know you cannot use this flower to do much, yet you want to make a perfume out of this? I sure want to see what kind of bullsh!t you end up making!”

With a fake smile, Qiao Qing turned to look at her, “If this flower cannot be used to make a perfume, why would the manufacturer have it?”
