Leng Qingshan simply said, “That’s because I never told you! I was scared you’d be worried!”

Leng Yan responded, “It’s fortunate that Qingqing is studying medical science. She’s able to cure all sorts of diseases. Allow her to check you out.”

Qing Qingshan was instantly dumbfounded, “W… What?”

Leng Yan now looked over to Qiao Qing, “Qingqing, can you see how my grandpa’s health is?”

Qiao Qing nodded and headed towards Leng Qingshan.

At once, Leng Qingshan pulled his sleeves down, “C… Check out what? I hate doctors! Every time get a check-up, they make me buy meds and stab me with needles. I don’t want a check-up!”

Qiao Qing stopped walking then.

“You’re going off-topic!” Leng Qingshan said to Leng Yan, “I have made up my mind. I am going to set you up with people and do a blind dating event. If you don’t show up, I will order people to drag you there!”

Jun Yexuan and the others gave him a look to show their sympathy.

This meal sure hurt Leng Yan. Now that Leng Jie was no longer a part of the family, he could clearly see that this will be his life every day until he is married with kids.

After the meal, everyone took their cars back to the Leng family mansion.

On the way back, Leng Yan pondered ways he could get out of the blind dates Leng Qingshan was planning. Suddenly, the car braked hard and caused his body to fling forward.

He asked, “What’s wrong?”

Zhou Xin was flustered, “Y… Young master… There’s an accident. I think we hit someone.”

Leng Yan frowned at those words and got out of the car.

Behind them, Qiao Qing and the others’ cars also had to brake.

Jun Yexuan asked, “What’s wrong?”

Mu Jinghang stuck his head out and checked, “I think Leng Yan’s car hit someone.”

“That’s unfortunate,” Jun Yexuan commented nonchalantly but was the first to get out of the car.

Qiao Qing followed.

Leng Yan went up to the front of the car and saw a young man on the ground. The young man wore fashionable clothes and a red cap. However, his knee was bleeding.

The sight of the young man’s face stunned Leng Yan a little.

He looked a bit familiar but Leng Yan wasn’t sure where he’d seen him.

After a moment of silence, Leng Yan knelt down and asked gently, “Are you okay? I’m sorry. I think my driver didn’t see you and hit you. I’ll take you to the hospital.”

He then extended his hand towards the young man.

Ling Xi felt like his ears melted against that sweet and kind voice.

When Ling Xi saw the open palm in front of him, his heart raced.

Ling Xi placed his hand in Leng Yan’s and said, “Then, thank you.”

Leng Yan was a little surprised. This hand was a lot smoother than other men’s hands.

It was so soft – as if it had no bones.

After some time, Leng Yan smiled and pulled him off the ground, “It was my fault. Please don’t thank me.”

Qiao Qing, who witnessed all this, curled her lips.

There was only one way Ling Xi could manage to get into a car accident – he purposely threw himself in front of the car.

Though she wasn’t sure what he was trying to do, Qiao Qing decided to stay out of it.

After Ling Xi was pulled off the ground, he signaled towards Qiao Qing at an angle hidden from others. He glanced over to the backpack on the ground.

On the side, Zhou Xin walked up to the backpack.
