Yin Lei saw the killer’s intent in Qiao Qing’s eyes and felt her uncontrollable grip around his neck. He didn’t at all doubt that she would kill him.

Xia Houshang had just showered. She walked out in her robe and saw Jun Yexuan on the bed with his eyes closed.

Beside the bed was another man with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

When she saw the man smoking, Xia Houshang asked, “Don’t you think you should leave?”

Jiang Che took the cigarette out of his mouth, “As a woman, you’re going to force yourself onto a man?”

Xia Houshang’s face darkened. No matter how reckless she was, she felt embarrassed to be called out by a man like that.

“You picked him up for me and brought him here. Why would you ask a question you know the answer to?”

Jiang Che pointed his cigarette at Jun Yexuan, “You think he can get hard in his current state?”

Xia Houshang’s face reddened again, “Don’t you worry about that. I have prepared pills. Even if he’s unconscious, he can do it.”

Jiang Che watched Xia Houshang. Without him knowing it, a trace of disdain appeared on his face.

“Xia Houshang.” He spoke out her name, but this time, it didn’t sound so gentle, “This is the last time I’m helping you out. From now onwards, we are no longer friends.”

It was as if running away would lessen the guilt he felt towards that stranger.

Inside the room, Xia Houshang was a little stunned by Jiang Che’s words and took some time to digest them.

But soon, she stopped troubling herself with those thoughts.

He was simply a man whose love for her transformed into hate. There was no way she was going to let go of the man of her dreams for a backup.

After she sorted out her thoughts, she went to grab a bottle of medicine from her drawer and walked back to Jun Yexuan.

Jun Yexuan laid quietly in bed. His eyes were tightly shut since he was in a deep sleep. His brows, however, were locked.

There was something dark and intense in the air. It was like he was fighting against something and trying to free himself from the cage.

“Are you having a nightmare?” Xia Houshang was infatuated with his flawless face. The thought of taking possession of his body soon made her blood hot.

“I’ve been thinking of you for over a decade. Finally, you’re mine.”

Xia Houshang opened up the bottle of meds and fed him a pill.

She then lowered her head to kiss him.
