The cold look on Qiao Qing’s face intensified the hatred Xia Houshang felt. With no time to think it through, she shouted, “Get her here!”

Her people were about to act when Quan Zexi shouted at them to stop, “Wait a minute!”

Everyone watching froze and soon started to mumble.

“Why’s the Duke helping Qiao Qing?”

“I don’t know. I thought he caught her and brought her over.”

“She’s not acting like a captured prisoner.”

“Let’s observe first.”

Xia Houshang was very much confused, “Duke Quan, what’s the meaning of this? My father’s corpse is right here! You want to protect the person who did this?!”
