The guards stopped moving.

The way Jun Yexuan protected Qiao Qing made Xia Houshang spew fire, “Who do you guys work for?! Take her!”

Just then, Qiao Qing, who hadn’t said a word, finally broke her silence, “Why do you want me captured? To question me and determine if I’m the murderer?”

This confused Xia Houshang. She frowned, “No sh!t!”

Qiao Qing nodded, “There’s no need to question me. I know who the killer is.”

The look in Qiao Qing’s eyes made Xia Houshang shudder. Goosebumps started to show on her skin.

She forced herself to be calm, “What do you mean, scared? Why would I be scared? The only thing I’m unsure of is what kind of stuff you’re capable of making up!”

“Make stuff up?” Qiao Qing reacted like she’s heard a joke, “You think I speak empty words like you?”

She looked towards the Xia family’s guards, “If you want to find out how your Duke died, then open the casket and perform an autopsy.”

Her words generated another round of clamor.

Xia Houshang jumped up as if she’d gone crazy. While trying to hit Qiao Qing, she screamed, “What’s the meaning of this?! My father is dead! You’re going to disturb him even in his death?!”
