Hudson
POISON
That's what you can describe Bianca as.
From the moment she enters your life there is no escape from her venomous bite. All it takes is a blink of the eye and you're a goner.
If there's anyone who knows her dangers more than anyone it's Greyson. Bianca has a lack of empathy and therefore could care less about her actions and how they affect someone. There was no better proof than the moment she decided to stab Greyson in a vital source of life even he didn't know existed within him.
The moment Bianca went to the clinic and came out no longer pregnant can be marked in history as the day Greyson Blackstone destroyed any possibilities of love that manifested inside of him.
"You're going to look at the bloody child and tell me that's not your's?" Richard scoffs, folding his glasses and tucking them into his pocket. "She's most assuredly carrying five generations worth of Blackstone, I mean you can see that clear-cut resemblance to your mother just from her eyes alone."
Richard and Sage believe more than anything that Scarlett is the child Bianca allegedly "aborted". And although I'm hopeful, I'm cautious. The last blow from this child hurt Greyson bad and if he is to develop an attachment to the child and it's not his, who knows the effect it will have on him.
He may even turn into me and that can't happen. I worry that even Sage won't be able to repair a damage like this and Greyson dotes on her more than anyone.
Sage nods. "That's what I said, how can a child coincidentally have such a distinct color? Greyson your eyes are not common at all and you should know that more than anyone."
What's more interesting than anything is the fact that Sage whole-heartedly accepted the possibility of Scarlett being Greyson's daughter. Not even, it amazed me to see her rush and comfort the girl after that scene with her mother. Most women would be devasted to hear such news and accusations. Most women wouldn't stick around for the drama.
And Sage is only eighteen.
"Well, dear, you can call me Grandfather." Richard says to Scarlett, kneeling down to her level. "Despite what your father thinks I believe more than anything you're my granddaughter. I mean you have impeccable beauty, there's only one person to thank for that."
"Mom was indeed quite the beauty." Greyson says.
"Yeah, Mrs. Blackstone gave me Stacy's Mom vibes all day every day." I joined in.
"You bloody fools!" Richard stands straight and shouts. "I'm referring to me you twits."
Everyone laughed.
Including the quiet little girl among us, who finally cracked a smile.

While Sage and Richard were entertaining the girl, Greyson stepped outside. I decided to follow him because it's rare that he leaves Sage alone. He's an overly obsessed and possessive fiance, you'll never see Sage without Greyson or vice versa.
He stands at the balcony and sighs.
"How's it going?" I ask.
Greyson rubs his face. "Even all the money in the world can't get me the tests quicker than three days."
"It's been a tough two days but you'll know by tomorrow." I inform him.
He looks at me. "Be honest with me."
"Alright, I confess, your dad has told me I'm his favorite." I grin.

He scoffs. "Fuck off, you know that'll never happen. His favorite child will always be his bloody towers."
"You're not wrong." I chuckle lowly. "But seriously, what's up?"
Greyson looked into the yard. "Do you think she's mine?"
"Listen man, I'm hopefully cautious." I explain. "I'd suggest you be too."
He shakes his head. "I'm not sure if I can be, she's an amazing kid. Very corrupted in the sense that she's been stripped of child-like innocence, but amazing. Sage smothers her and we don't even know if we have a solid connection with her."
"I'm not happy to say I can't be surprised. Bianca looks like she'd be a terrible mother."
His brows raise in awe. "Interestingly enough, Scarlett thinks otherwise. She always tells us that she's not a bad person but is placed in bad positions."
"That's bullshit, she claimed to kill your child. How can you make something like that into a 'good position'?"
Greyson's face slowly loses expression, it's hard to bring this topic up ever. But when it comes to his feelings I need him to lock that shit up. Protect himself. He's come to far in his life to just to have everything taken from him in an instant.
"You know, if this happened two years ago...I would never have placed myself in this situation." Greyson pushes himself off the balcony. "But Hudson, you can stop worrying. The Greyson from that time and the one now are not the same."
My eyes widen.
"Yes, it will hurt like a bitch...knowing that I will never meet my child." He stares down onto the ground, then looks up. "But I did meet Sage and no one can take that from me."
I couldn't help but smile. "You're fucking whipped."
"Fuck you."
I scoff. "I'm not sure Sage would approve of that, I mean a child is a lot. Imagine a secret relationship between us? It would literally send her bouncing off the walls. Not to mention my street cred and what not."
"You're not wrong." He chuckles, then walks back into the home but before closing the door he looks back at me. "You know if this really is my kid, I'm going to need her Godfather to interact with her."
Godfather
Well I'll be damned, that has a nice ring to it.

"Sherbet." Scarlett answers.
I raise my brows. "That's new, usually when I ask a kid that the answer is usually chocolate."
"Well I'm not your average child." Shen grins.
This has to be Greyson's kid, with that know-it-all attitude. "Slow your roll, kid, you may not like the common choice of ice cream but you still like ice cream. Which is an average child-like thing."
"Touche." She responds.
"Master Blackstone, the test results have arrived." Greenwich, the favored Blackstone butler informs us all.
I watch as Greyson stills and immediately Sage drops her phone and grabs his hand.
Scarlett looks more anxious than us all and I'm not surprised. This poor girl has no knowledge of her father and is eagerly searching. Her mother is frivolous and lacks honesty, whatever hope Scarlett has for this will be stripped if this doesn't work out. And right now she needs a win after all those loses.
"Thank you, Greenwich." Greyson stands up.

Sage does too. "I'll come with."
The two left the room, I'd join them but Scarlett gave me the impression she didn't want to be alone. Her apprehension was strong enough to knock a grown man out.
"Scarlett, you said to Greyson that your mother isn't bad, she's just placed in bad positions." I start speaking. "What did you mean?"
Her eyes slide to mine. "I'm not allowed to say."
"Why not?"
Suddenly a cloud of sadness fogs her stormy eyes. "Because she hates pity."
Before I could ask or press into the conversation any further I hear Sage call out for Greyson. And without warning I watch as he storms down the hallway down the left wing. Seconds later I see Sage following him and from her expression the test was not in his favor.
Shit
I looked at Scarlett
Her eyes were glued onto the table.
"You stay here." I stand up and run out of the room after him.

Greyson got inside of a car and left the estate, leaving Sage and I behind. He's refusing our calls and the drivers won't tell us where they took him.
"The results...were they...?" I clear my throat.
Sage lets out an exasperated sigh. "I didn't see them but as soon as he did...he just stormed off. And crumbled the test results in is hand."
"Shit." I shake my head. "Fucking Bianca."
Sage rubs her face. "Why would she lie...why would she hurt him twice?"
There's no real answer to this question, Bianca's actions are never justified with anything. She's a woman who does what she wants and how she wants to. Hurting Greyson shouldn't be anything new but to do it twice, that's horrible. What terrible person does that to another one for absolutely no reason.
It's been hours and the worry filled feeling I have for Greyson grows stronger.
"Why the hell aren't you worried about your son?" I ask Richard.
Richard pulls Scarlett in closer to him, she had fallen asleep while he was reading her Little Red Rid Hood. "Should I?"
"Yeah he just got grave news and you're just...hanging out." I frown.
"I don't see you doing anything." He retorts.
"But I'm not his father."
"Correct." He scowls. "You're not. So you don't tell me what I'm supposed to do with my children. I'm doing the best thing I can do and that is to wait, wait and be here when he needs me."
"We don't know what's going to happen, he could be out there doing self harm." I stand up. "Last time Bianca did this Greyson went on some fucking hiatus for months and spoke to no one. We need to find him."
Sage tenses up.
Richard holds the girl up, stands up, then places her onto the seat and walks straight to me. "And he did the same thing his mother was killed in front of him."
"Rich-"
"Let me decide what I want to do. This isn't abnormal for Greyson and like I said the best thing to do is wait."
"He's not my daddy...is he?"
We all look at Scarlett.
All of a sudden I see Richard's eyes travel behind me. Seconds later I watch as Greyson walks past me and my eyes widen.
My gaze drops to a teddy bear and a sheet of paper.
Then I see him drop to his knees in front of the little girl.
"Scarlett...you're not..." His head drops and his body shakes. "...you're not..."
"Greyson..." I say quietly.
Sage rushes to his side. "Honey...no..."
"I'm not...?" Scarlett's eyes water.
"You're not..." He shakes his head.
I start walking to his side but Richard stops me. "Stop."
"He needs me-" I say.
Richard's glare said it all and he's the parent. No matter how well I think I know Greyson I'll never know things like Richard does.
So I do as he says and stop, watching and waiting like I'm supposed too.
"You're not..." Greyson's head rises and looks Scarlett dead in the eyes. "You're not ever leaving my side again."
It felt like a millennium had passed but all it took was an instant to change the vibe in the room.
Scarlett's eyes widen
Sage's lips parted
Richard didn't change his expression, not surprised.
And I stood there in awe.
"You are a hundred percent...mine." Greyson wraps his arms tightly around her.
Then he lifts the two objects in his hands. "I had your mother sign a contract to send all rights to being your guardian to me. And this bear...this bear is the first toy I bought you, this is your bear Scarlett...and you're my daughter."
Sage, Greyson and Scarlett all had a big family hallmark moment.
I just looked at Richard.
"You knew didn't you, you old bat?" I ask him.
Richard slides his attention to me, and then grins. "Just because I got shot in the bloody noggin doesn't mean I'm stupid."
"You can't just say someone is your grandchild by their eyes alone, you need scientific proof." I tell him.
He looks at the child then back at me. "While science is solid, I know when I'm looking into the eyes of the love of my life."
My brows raise.
"No one in this family but Greyson has her eyes...it's no surprise that Scarlett has them either." Richard explains. "It's both the greatest blessing and most painful reminder I will ever have of her."
"Grandpa! You're my Grandpa!" Scarlett runs towards him to him. "You were right, Grandma's eyes worked."
Richard laughs. "Of course dear, your Grandfather is a bloody genius."
I crossed my arms.
"Hudson hug your Goddaughter!" Greyson says happily. "You're going to be babysitting her on date nights, better get used to her."
Scarlett walks towards me.
"Hey kid when your father decides to let you hang out with me, how about you and I make some homemade ice cream?" I ask.
Her smile grows wide. "Mine will obviously taste better than your's."
"Woah there, slow your roll." I chuckle. "I'm the master at ice cream, anyone who eats it falls automatically in love."
She shakes her head. "Well I'll be the judge of that."
"I look forwards to that." I smile.
Sorry for the incredibly late update, I haven't been on my computer much due to enjoying my summer vacation and working and what not. Either way I'm going to work harder on these updates for you all and I thank those of you who took the time to nominated me. I never thought in all of my years on Wattpad (about 4 to 5 years) that I'd get so many reads and even nominations for my stories.
Hard work really does pay off, thank you all!
