isabella was sitting outside the forman's house in one of the green chairs when she saw hyde walk up the driveway.
"what are you doing here so late?" hyde asked her.
"ms. forman said i should get some air since i drank a little too much earlier. i think i've sobered up now so you don't have to worry about me yacking on your shoes." isabella replied with a chuckle.
"i'll keep you company then." hyde said before sitting in the chair beside hers.
"how was your date with jackie?" isabella asked him.
"i don't know. i kissed her but i felt nothing." hyde said as isabella nodded.
"maybe you're just attracted to someone else." isabella said with a shrug before looking down at his lips.
she knew it was wrong but she wanted to kiss him so badly.
suddenly, she didn't feel so bad once she heard hyde speak.
"maybe it's you." hyde said before she felt his lips on top of hers.
both of them kept their positions and the only thing moving was their lips.
after pulling away, hyde and isabella locked eyes and he could taste the alcohol on her lips.
"you definitely taste like wine." hyde said making isabella laugh.
"now, did you feel something then, steven?" isabella said which left him speechless.
she felt like hours had gone by since he hadn't said anything but in reality it had only been a minute.
"right. well, goodnight." isabella said before going back into the house.
hyde was left alone in the dark and his fingers lightly touched his tingling lips.
"that wasn't nothing." hyde whispered to himself.
he never thought of isabella like that before, she was one of his closest friends.
he knew that this kiss was gonna change everything. in fact, it already had.

hyde felt something more for isabella than he originally thought.
-
everyone was at hyde's dad's place looking around. hyde and isabella hadn't talked about the kiss since it happened.
he was a little upset because it seemed like she didn't care about it.
"all right, hyde. your dad's apartment is the perfect place for a party. it's already trashed." eric said.
hyde had moved in with his dad since he found out he was back in town.
"be nice." isabella said with a laugh.
"even if half the people we invited show up, this party's gonna rock." kelso said.
"did you find the cups?" jackie asked him.
"nope. even better, a plastic tube and a funnel." kelso said.
"all this and a dirty funnel? merry christmas to me." fez said.
"yeah, we don't even have to worry about germs, because even though our spit backs up in the tube, the alcohol kills them." kelso said.
"oh, goodie." isabella joked.
"we're leaving." donna said.
"so, leaving." jackie said.
"wait, you're leaving?" eric asked his girlfriend.
"yeah, see, when i was a little girl, i made a promise to myself. self, i said, if you're ever about to suck beer out of a funnel that might give you mono, don't. so, bye bye" donna said.
"yeah, i imagine mono isn't exactly a fun experience." isabella said before the three girls left.
"bella, did something happen with you and hyde?" donna asked her.
"no, why do you think that?" isabella asked her.
isabella didn't know what to do after kissing hyde. she had always seen him as a friend but she definitely felt something after the kiss.
"because he couldn't bare to look you in the eye and usually you guys are so close it's weird." jackie said.

"i'm not sure, maybe he's just weird about his dad still." isabella lied.
"really, because he just seemed off with you." donna said.
"weird, i'll have to talk to him." isabella replied trying to play it off.
-
donna and isabella were putting ornaments on the forman's tree while jackie sat on the couch with a magazine and candy cane in hand.
"ooh. listen to this. corner him under the mistletoe. eight ways to trick a guy into a relationship. i love the holidays." jackie said.
"oh, jeez." isabella said with a laugh.
"yeah, hanging your stocking, putting cookies out for santa, setting a mantrap. mmm, christmas." donna said.
"you know, donna, this'll be the first year i celebrate christmas without a boyfriend." jackie said.
"and jesus wept." donna said.
"nice one, donna." isabella said.
"so here's my new plan for the year. buy some really cute tops, fly to hollywood, and marry lee majors. make fun of that, i dare you." jackie said.
"where do i start?" isabella said.
"jackie, there are so many ways to make fun of that i don't even know where to start either. it's like choosing your favorite jellybean." donna said.
"favorite jellybean? huh? i guess it is." isabella said.
"girls, be nice to me. i'm lonely. i mean, okay, if there were mistletoe over me right now who would kiss me? no one, that's who." jackie said.
"being alone isn't that bad. isabella's been lonely for two year." donna said.
"watch it." isabella said.
"it's a great opportunity to get to know yourself and be comfortable with who you are." donna added.
"oh, donna, i already love myself. i just wanna french someone." jackie said.
-
later that night, jackie, donna and isabella were at the bar.
"isabella, that's fireman rob and fireman dean. they're firemen!" jackie said trying to set her up.
"jackie, they're like 40." donna said.
"whatever. they're firemen! two hot firemen in a bar. this is just like that play i wrote." jackie said.
"i'm not really interested." isabella said but jackie shock her head.
"okay, give me five minutes. i'll pick the one i want, and you can have the other." jackie said.
"uh, no you can have em both." isabella told her.
"bella, dean can bench press a keg." jackie said.
"so?" donna said.
"eric can't even bench press a cup." jackie said.
"he can, too." donna replied.
"rob, dean, this is isabella. and this is donna but she has a boyfriend." jackie said.
"so what do you girls do?" one of them asked.
"that's funny you should ask. we go to high school!" donna said.
"any outside interests?" he asked.
"uh huh. high school guys!" donna replied before jackie hit her.
"this is gonna be a long night." isabella said to donna.
