《Lost In the Void. (Monster Evolution LitRpg)》Chapter 24 Heavy Metal

I left the shack a few hours later to finish exploring the meatball's home. Spending some time looking around for anything that may be hidden in the bones or things that the thing had eaten or piled up in the corner by the path leading further down under the mountain.
Most of the stuff lying around were bones and rocks that were brittle. Sighing, I saw nothing of value and continued downwards to even deeper depths.
Nothing but darkness for what felt like hours of wandering down the tunnel. But it couldn't have been more than forty minutes then, out of nowhere, the tunnel started to smooth out and seemed like it was craved out. I lit the area around me with a bolt-made light and saw that the tunnel was triangled-shaped, which seemed like a weird way of carving out a tunnel.
After a bit longer, I finally reached the very bottom of the tunnel, only to be blocked by a giant green door. The door had an alien man's head covered in tentacles that almost looked like they were still moving around while he stared down at me. Two large rings hung off both sides of the door, where I could have probably opened it from.
I got closer to the door slowly to avoid getting attacked by something unknown or too powerful that may kill me in one hit. Thankfully, my danger sense skill didn't react to anything, so I will be fine until something terrible happens.
So I grabbed both rings and pulled them as hard as possible, but they didn't budge. The man's face smiled, and the tentacles moved around as if he was laughing at me. I kicked the door and made a different sound than wood or stone. Tapping it with my claws, I tried to leave a mark, but nothing failed to do anything to the door. The fucker on the door was laughing hard now with everything he had. That bastard was laughing at me.
Looking around the door, I tried to find a way to open it, but it seemed like it was a test of strength to open the door, but now I was unable to have enough power to open it.
With another look around, I saw that only the door was made of green stuff, but stone held the door in place. A wicked grin broke across my face as I looked back at the man on the door. He stopped laughing and gave me a weird look I had never seen before on the faces of the monsters here. It looked like fear.
I slashed my claws at the stone, using a twilight slash with each one, and dug into the stone around the door. It honestly didn't take as long as I thought it would have taken. The total time it took to make the door fall was about an hour and ten minutes. A lot faster than it took to destroy the asshole god's statue mother wanted me to get rid of.
I gave the door a jump kick and sent it into a room with many weird-looking items. Luckily nothing was broken or destroyed by the door. I stepped on the door and walked inside the room. The man on the door stopped moving and looked as if he was dead, so I left that alone until I could figure out what the rest of this stuff was.
In the middle of the room, a few feet in front of me, was an eye on a pedestal. The eye was a blood-red color with a weird but cool symbol in the eye. And as soon as I touched it, a system message appeared in front of my eyes.
Do you wish to bind the Magical Eye of the Forbidden Old One?
Yes/No?
Binding this eye to you may grant you skills or knowledge of the previous user. But beware, there may be side effects to doing this.
Hmm, this seemed like a good thing to have. I may get new skills without training or knowledge that will help me in the long run. Plus, I didn't feel anything from my danger sense skill, so everything seemed like it was still okay for now.
I hit yes mentally and saw the system say that the eye would bind itself to me.
Another message appeared and said to hold the eye against one of my eyes. So I thought of which eye to press it against and decided on my left eye. As soon as they were about to touch each other, the Magical eye split open, and thousands of tiny tentacles with sharp sickle appendages reached out lightning-fast and latched onto my left eye. Pain hit as my left eye was being eaten right out of the socket.
"Fucking piece of shit, why does everything trying to fucking eat me. Fucking bastard." I wailed out in pain as I tried and failed to remove the eye. Still standing on the green door, I raised my hand and started to beat the living hell out of the smug face of the tentacle man. But was still unable even to damage it at all. Thinking of a way to stop the eye from eating my actual eye, I tried to use my skills like slash and bolt to destroy the eye but was stopped every time I got close to hitting it.
Not knowing of a way of stopping this, I tried the most trustworthy method ever thought of full power mp destruction. Making a bolt of pure twilight, I pour in all mp I had, only leaving 40 left encase something tries to attack me from behind. Then I started to compress the bolt to be as long and slender as possible. I knew I had a new version like the lance, but I didn't want to risk using that over the bolt as I had more control with that than anything else. And launched it at the fake eye, only to be halted by an invisible wall made by something, possibly the system or the one who left this thing here. Running out of time, I grabbed the back of the bolt and pushed it as it burned my hand straight to the bone. Slowly, the bolt had advanced on the false eye, mere inches away from it.
But I could only watch as I was unable to stop it from opening my eye socket up a good four inches, which should have been impossible as my skull would have broken into pieces but was stretched and stretched some more as more of the tiny sharp sickles dug into my eye, optic nerve, and brain-eating the parts that connected to my left eye. Even with all this happening, my hp never dropped by a single point and remained at full hp until I hurt myself by grabbing the bolt.
During this time, I wished I could see what was happening to me so I could yell at myself later if I survived this thing. I cursed some more as the pain was almost as bad as when mother created my body for me. I swear I might end up with a pain resistance skill soon if things like this keep happening.
I pushed even harder as the bone in my hand started to break under the force of the magic damage and my strength. A second later, the false eye pulled itself right into the hole left behind, and the bolt slammed into the wall into my left, drilling itself almost three hundred feet into reinforced stone and the mountain too.

The pain increased even more as the eye tried to rebuild the connection to my brain with a new optic nerve. Time passed slowly as it began its brutal work of flaying the old connections and new ones to destroy and rebuild again and again to make the perfect home for itself or inflict as much pain as possible. I was angry because all I could do was sit there and wait for this to kill me or for me to finish. And what made it even worse was that my danger sense didn't warn me of this happening to me. It must have a way of hiding from the skill, or it might be trying to do something good. I will remember this if I see this Old One in the future. I might kill him if I can.
An unknown amount of time later, the work inside my skull was done, and I received a message from the system.
Congrats on not killing yourself, mortal, and no, you can't kill me, young boy. Even your mother fears my name. Plus, you may never see me in the first place since I am even older than the god who created the Universe you live in. He is but a newborn hatchling in my eyes. But do come to me, young one, and fight. I love it when they fight back against true overwhelming power. By the way, as a gift for not killing yourself, you can keep the eye and the skill it grants, but with the knowledge that would have come with it, you won't get that from the eye. And I'll even remove my mark from it and let your soul dye the eye with your mark. Well, that's about it. Then bye, hatchling.
Error fixed granting rewards now. Eye of Twilight has been fused with the host. Vit +10, Chs +20.
Eye of Twilight Lv 1/10 Tier. The eye can identify objects and certain things but is limited due to low tier ranking and level of skill. Please raise the skill level to see more information and things you usually would be unable to see.
It was a remarkable increase in my stats and gave me a skill too. But fuck warn me next time. I lay there unmoving as the pain washed over me. I will have to ask mother about this eye next time we talk to get more information to see if it might kill me in the future. I opened my eyelids to see what had changed or if anything had changed with my sight. Nothing seemed to be any different except that I could see better out of my eyes now than I used to be. I could see tiny details of things I wouldn't have seen before, like my eyes zoomed in on things now. It was a small increase to my sight but was welcomed since this would allow me to see better.
I looked over all the items lying around the room, with most of them being trash or unusable anymore due to how long they sat in here wasting away. The door was a great magical item.
It was named Blood Metal Door, which increased the door's weight by pouring magic into the door and could change its design and size. No wonder I was unable to open the door. It was being fed magic through the stone with magic circuits running throughout the room, gathering mana and providing it to the door. Cutting through the stone broke the courses and saved me from not being strong enough to open the door by myself.
In total, there were around 25 items that still held some value, but most of them couldn't even be identified due to the low tier and level of my new eye. Three of them I was able to identify putting the rest into the tattoo.
Magic enhancer- Increases the power of one item bound to the user. One-time use only. After that, this item will disappear and reappear in a different location anywhere. Increase Tattoo or Eye. Please choose now.
I'll do the tattoo since that will only grow in power if I evolve, and nothing else increases the space inside there that I know of, so it will be the best use of that item. Even though the other magical things here might be better with an item like this, I need to increase the amount I can hold inside the tattoo since that is my go-to for keeping my stuff safe and not losing it. After choosing to use it on the tattoo, I got a system message telling me the number of things I could hold inside had increased to 25000 pounds, which was shocking to me. I thought I would have gained a slight increase in the amount the tattoo held, but no, it achieved a massive boost. Fuck I may have wasted that enhancer on the tattoo. But now I can keep everything and the door without leaving anything here for others to have.
The second item was a collar covered in thorns and spikes made of dark green metal. Collar of the Old One: The cultists of the Old One wear this as a symbol of their master letting the collar dig into their flesh with the sickle tentacles fusing into their flesh, becoming one with them. This is one of the ways to join the Old One cult. The rest of the ways are unknown to you for right now. Do you wish to bind this item to yourself? Yes/No?
No fuck that. I'm not going to do that shit again, never again. I threw the collar right into the tattoo without hesitating to get rid of the sick thing. Now for the next and last item on the list.
Heavy Metal Crystal- Has a recording of a song by the band Vaginal Cthulhu. Please be aware of your surroundings and be in a safe area before watching this record. Do you wish to play the recording? Yes/No?
I think I'll wait before I play the record, so I hit no and put it into the tattoo for now. I need to put everything here inside the tattoo too. I might find something to do with the junk piled up around the room, so why not. Plus, I have the space to spare now. Everything was packed away, leaving only the door still on the floor. Before putting it inside, I checked the door's weight to see how much it weighed now and if I could make it smaller to train with to fit my body size better as the door shrunk to become 2ft long and 1ft wide. The door's weight had dropped by a lot now, only weighing 500 pounds. This would be a fantastic tool to train my Str with later after I finish exploring the mountain. Feeling good about everything that had happened, I looked at how much room I had until the tattoo hit the limit, and I still had 6703 pounds left before it became full. This may have been my best idea to search throughout the mountain for extraordinary things.
Seeing nothing left to take in here, I brought out the shack and walked inside to see what this crystal was and how to use it. Plus, what is the Vaginal Cthulhu that seems like a weird name to have?
After closing the door behind me and sitting in the chair facing the desk, I brought out the crystal and said yes to playing whatever was on this thing.

I felt a change as I was floating in the sky as a crowd of people gathered below me with a giant skull in front of me looked down on the people below. After a little while, the lights around the area started to dim as a thumping noise could be heard from the skull. The people below stopped making noise and looked straight at the skull's head of them, jumping up and down. Green flames appeared in the eyesockets of the skull as the thumping intensified in volume. Feminine laughter could be heard as the head started to vibrate wildly, then, suddenly, the skull opened its mouth to show four figures inside. They all wore robes that barely covered anything, with straps of leather and metal everywhere. They were all females and very well endowed but seemed more beautiful than almost anything I had ever seen before, except for the Mother. Even though I couldn't see their faces, I felt strongly attracted to them for some reason. When my new eye passed over them, It showed that they were all cultist bards of the Old One.
Something in my mind slammed into place, a skill activated without me wanting to do so, and I felt less about them. I got hit with four charm skills at once; damn, I almost lost myself. Fuck me, that was a strong mental power they had by working together. They began to play their instruments, and it was amazing, making my blood plump through my body faster. I could fight and kill thirty of those meatball things I killed before. Fuck I want to move and train too. The lead singer was the one who was the tallest and had the best curves and sizes. She made it very hard for my Iron mask skill to stay active and not fall apart from how she moved, and her voice was another thing that was hard to resist making the experience a beautiful struggle for me. They made my mind, and my body was ready to fight endlessly without rest. After six minutes, it ended, and I was back in the chair sitting at the desk. Not wanting to waste this feeling, I left the shack, stored it away, and ran up the tunnels to reach the higher layers of the mountain.
I passed by the area where I fought the meatball and shot bolts and anything too far away from me without breaking from the path I was on. As the monsters died, I picked up the ones I could reach with the tattoo and left the others to rot, not even carrying about them. I got where the tunnels split off, going up and down and going up this time. My body was covered in minor cuts and nicks, but they healed faster than usual. I loved this feeling.
The tunnel split again, and I saw the light ahead as I rushed toward it. As I reached the end, I found another monster: a dog with wings on its back called Howl Wind Level 10 Tier 2. It was getting ready to launch itself out of the outside, but I couldn't let this thing go and get away from me. I sped up and jumped on it as it jumped out of the tunnel and into the air leaving the mountain behind. Landing on its back, I grabbed both wings and pulled as hard as possible while my tail stabbed into its back. They ripped with ease as we both fell down the side of the mountain. We were about 1000ft up in the air and would soon hit the side of the mountain. So I grabbed the top of the dog's head with one hand and, with the other, punched where ever I could to stun it. And in seconds, we were about to hit the rocky side. I moved to use the Howl as a shield to block and absorb the force from the fall to increase my chances of survival. We slammed hard into the side of the mountain only to bounce off to hit it again.
Each time before we hit, I would push the dog under me or at an angle to block most of the damage. My hp would regenerate but was slowly being overwhelmed by the falling damage. We both finally hit the bottom of the mountain, landing on dirt and grass. I looked at my hp 2/388 + 200, only seeing two points left. I cast a heal on myself, healing some of the damage. My legs and right arm were broken, and my tail was almost ripped off. The Howl was almost dead but probably had more hp than I did to survive the fall. I sent four bolts straight into its brain, killing it off, then collected its corpse into the tattoo.
I had some water from the pond pore into my mouth to speed up the healing and brought the shack crawling inside. I'm glad I didn't close the door before I left the thing. Laying there, I looked at the notifications that popped up and dismissed the kill ones as I didn't care about that right now. Looking at them, I saw another one pop up saying the Old Blood Tier 5 skill has ended stats have returned to normal. Dear Mother, a Tier 5 enhancing skill was used on me. I almost killed myself because of that. I want to do that again since it feels incredible, but it will make me weak if I am always on it. I won't be able to fight without it if I use it all the time. But I felt it was straining my Iron Mask skill, so it would, at the very least, be excellent training for that. But for now, I should regenerate and heal my broken bones. Fuck, this is more time wasted on stupid shit.
