Yaomu Shou took the initiative to answer, “You’ll need to negotiate with it.”

“Come again?”

Long Di was sure he misheard. How in the world was he to negotiate with a spiritual vein root?

“Spiritual vein roots only live in the most auspicious places. That’s why experts build their sects, schools and clans on auspicious grounds,” she explained.

“That doesn’t sound like a negotiation,” Long Di replied. “That sounds like a non-consensual hijacking.”

“I’m getting there!” Yaomu Shou yelled. “So because they live in auspicious places and you don’t want to force it lest you risk damaging it. You need to convince it that where you want to take it to is better than where it is now.”

“Is this thing alive?” Long Di finally asked.

Yaomu Shou’s mouth curled up into a cute smile before she answered, “Yes and no. Alive in the sense that they’re controlled by a gentle instinct, but also not with any sort of intelligence or things of that ilk.”

Long Di listened to Yaomu Shou’s full explanation. Basically, he had to persuade this spiritual vein root to come with him.

Moreover, where he planned to put it had to be worthy of a medium-grade spiritual vein root.

In addition, what a regular spiritual vein root was satisfied with wouldn’t be the same for a medium-grade spiritual vein root.

Sects that wanted to take on a medium-grade spiritual vein root would need to spend copious amounts of wealth to better prepare their grounds for its dwelling.

Long Di sighed but saw no other way. So he finally asked, “How would you be able to convince it?“

“Well, my storage ring has a wisp of the aura of the auspicious ground where our spiritual vein roots are located,” she stated, holding up her spatial life ring. “All I have to do is leak a bit of the aura and once the spiritual vein root senses it, we should be good.”

She then went on to say, “I can lend you the ring-”

“Lady Yaomu Shou!” Yaomu Baiyin interjected in a panic. Though she wasn’t qualified to come in contact with the spatial life ring, if the Yaomu family only had one then it was incomparably precious!

“Shush!” Yaomu Shou shushed this blustering little yuan demon of hers. She then turned back to Long Di.

“As I was saying, I can lend it to you for a while, but I’ll need it back. If your plan works, then a spatial life ring is nothing.” She offered the spatial life ring on top of her palm to Long Di.

Long Di looked over his shoulder at the spatial life ring before he turned his gaze back towards the medium-grade spiritual vein root. “Hold on to that for a sec.”

Profound Myriad Heavenseize Physique on!

A boundless pressure spread out as the manifestation cosmos became Long Di’s body. Dots of light covered his body as the stars within him shone brightly to display their radiance.

Instantly, the medium-grade spiritual vein root paused in its endless wandering and turned its ‘head’ towards Long Di.

Yaomu Baiyin and especially Yaomu Shou were shocked to see this. The latter was doubly shocked because she knew what it meant for the medium-grade spiritual vein root to take notice of him.

This meant that Long Di’s physique contained its own laws and was naturally auspicious all on its own. For him to be able to attract a medium-grade spiritual vein root meant that his physique’s level of auspiciousness possibly rivalled her family’s!

Yaomu Shou grew a bit more confident in this gamble of hers. She was placing a lot of capital in Long Di, but the return was surely worth it if worked. Long Di’s prodigious talent moved her and this physique of his was truly magical. And above all, he was trustworthy.

She needed this to work.

Regretfully, however, the spiritual vein root went back to its previous wanderings.

Yaomu Shou felt a bit disappointed seeing this. It seemed that even with a heaven-defying physique, certain walls couldn’t be scaled.

Long Di also felt despondent with the result as well. He thought his physique was enough of an allure to draw it over.

‘Wait a minute,’ a fleeting thought came to him.

Suddenly, the pressure from Long Di’s physique quickly multiplied.

The pressure was so strong that Yaomu Baiyin had to take several steps back followed shortly by Yaomu Shou lest they find themselves unable to stand.

Yaomu Shou was shocked, wondering how Long Di was able to do this.

In theory, what Long Di did was quite simple. He used the same technique that he learned in regard to utilising the pressure of his cauldrons and shifted that technique to his physique instead.

His focus on bringing out even more of the aura of his Profound Myriad Heavenseize Physique, which resulted in the scene before them.

With the several-fold increase in aura and pressure that Long Di released, the medium-grade spiritual vein root was no longer able to ignore him.

Its long body shuddered before it cautiously made its way over to him. It stopped every now and again as if testing his attitude towards it.

Before long, it came right up to him and Long Di held out a hand before he went completely still.

Yaomu Baiyin grew puzzled, “What’s he doi-”

“Ssshhh…” Yaomu Shou wasn’t sure what Long Di was planning, but she had faith in him.

If she knew that Long Di was doing this for no other reason than what he learned in ‘DreamWorks, how to train your dragon,’ she would strangle him.

What made him think it was a good idea to follow the method in a kid’s movie to subdue a medium-grade spiritual vein root!?

This was an existence that could make or break a sect! Rivers of blood ran, and mountains of corpses piled up for this thing!

Bizarrely enough, before the shocked eyes of Yaomu Shou and Yaomu Baiyin, the medium-grade spiritual vein root pushed its nose into Long Di’s hand as if purring under his touch.

“Hiccup would be proud,” he whispered under his breath.

As if in response to this notion, the medium-grade spiritual vein root let out an ear-shattering roar before, with the help of its powerful legs, it took to the sky before it descended en route to Long Di.

“L-Look out!” Yaomu Baiyin was so shocked by the sudden turn of events that she warned Long Di to get out of the way.

However, the former didn’t move and instead spread his hands out as if waiting for a hug.

Yaomu Baiyin turned her head away not wanting to see the gruesome scene of Long Di dying by being crushed while Yaomu Shou revealed a knowing smirk as if everything would be alright.

The medium-grade spiritual vein root crashed into Long Di, but instead of crushing him underfoot, it simply phased into his body like a phantom.

Ripples ran across his body following his entry and before long the thousand-metre-long serpent disappeared into Long Di’s body.

Shu!

Within the cosmos of Long Di’s body, a faint wyvern-like creature meandered about the stars. It didn’t take long for it to settle upon a particular ‘star’ in the body.

Suddenly, the space within Long Di’s body zoomed to close in on the medium-grade spiritual vein root.

A closer look showed the spiritual vein root burrowing into the star and its radiance transformed into that of the spiritual vein root!

A faint wyvern-like symbol then appeared on the star and before long, its radiance outshined all the other stars and the space around it was bathed in a light of pure spiritual energy.

Since it was zoomed in at the moment, Long Di’s current state was like the personified figure of a spiritual treasure!

His body trembled as the profound myriad heavenseize physique deactivated, turning him back to normal.

“Long Di you did it!” Yaomu Shou ran over with a thrilled expression.

Even Yaomu Baiyin ran over delighted as well. This was the first time she had ever seen anything like this.

This was unheard of in any capacity. Long Di was able to take in a medium-grade spiritual vein root in his body. This meant that he could also take in numerous regular spiritual vein roots as well.

Heck! The possibility was there for him to take in a high-grade spiritual vein root, too! The possibilities were endless!

This also meant that Long Di’s plan had a chance of actually working! Since this was the case, she had to give him her full support!

She would do this in spite of the decree of the King. After all, laws and decrees could be changed with time.

“How do you feel!?” Yaomu Shou asked, rubbing her hands excitedly like a sly merchant or a housefly.

He clenched and unclenched his fists, as if testing out some new power. “Not really all that different. But I should be able to call upon the spiritual energy for my own use if I need to… I think. I’d rather try this outside though, since anything spiritual energy-based could unravel the seal.”

“No problem!” Yaomu Shou still had a big smile on her face. Long Di had given her many surprises today. Something that she thought she had grown numb to. But he proved her wrong today in the best of ways.

“How do we get out of here?” Yaomu Baiyin came up asking a crucial question.

Yaomu Shou took the initiative to answer. “Don’t worry, those in the medium grade and above will sometimes build their own space in an attempt to keep themselves safe. Once the spiritual energy here dissipates, this dimension should collapse.”

Long Di nodded in understanding and was pleased with getting what they came for.

He was also a bit curious to see what the situation outside was like.

“Then it’s time to get out of here.”
