《Law of God (Book 1)》Chapter Two

I went inside my office and was assigned a case by Judge Judith. Judge Judith, who I sometimes call her Judy, because Judge Judith prefers to go by Judy.
Judy explains to me about a fourteen-year -old girl named Sarah Grace, who was born with a rare genetic disorder, known as cerebral palsy. Sarah was raped by a man named Michael award, who Sarah was friends with before, and her mother Jade Westward, is not talking anymore without a lawyer present.
I sighed, "Well my day just got great, didn't it?"
Judy hands over a file of Sarah Grace, who reminds me a lot about Jacob. Jacob and Sarah Grace were both born with learning difficulties.
"Mrs.Westward is in the interrogation room, she won't speak without your help," Judy explained.
I understood, shaking my head. I thanked Judy with a soft smile.
Judy sighed, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have another trial to go to right now." Judy said, walking out of my office.
I cleared my throat and had already gone straight to the interrogation room to see Sarah's mother.
"I had to raise my daughter on my own." Mrs. Westward said.
I understood, shaking my head. Until one of the detectives who I am enemies with, is Detective Sailor questions my own client.
"And, how long have you and Mr. Smith been divorced?" Detective Sailor asked.
Sarah was being interviewed in the playroom while Detective Evans was playing with her.
"I hated Jimmy, I always knew he was gonna leave me for someone else, and not having the nerve to take care of me or Sarah." Mrs. Westward explained.
I sighed, just listening to Mrs. Westward, and Detective Sailor continued to question.
"And you think Mr. Smith may have wanted to hurt your daughter? Perhaps, Mr. Smith could have a close friend who wanted to hurt Sarah?"

You don't have to answer that," I said to Mrs. Westward.
Mrs. Westward went silent.
Jacob came out of the cafeteria, fifty-five minutes after he had finished eating his lunch. Jacob was marching along with Izza and David, and other students.
"Did you hear about our new teacher, Mr. Youngster? He's our new math teacher, and he's so fine," Izza explained, before she squealed.
"Oh, Izza, that man is twenty years older than you," David said.
"Yeah, so?" Izza replied back.
"So, he is not going to ask you out. I look up his records, he's married and has two children," David explained.
I sighed, walking my way out of the interrogation room. Detective Sailor was waiting for me to come out.
"What the heck are you doing?" Detective Sailor asked. after I walked away, I turned.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"You are making me look like the bad cop in there, what are you trying to prove by not making Mrs. Westward answer my questions," Detective Sailor said, in an angry tone of his voice.
"Well I am her lawyer and I have the right to tell her not answer any questions she feels uncomfortable answering."
Detective Sailor chuckled, laughing sarcastically. "I understand that, but don't you be judging my every move, when I have a witness who has the right to answer my questions."
I laughed sarcastically back at Detective Sailor, and I walked up to him. "I was doing my job," I answered back.
"No, you do this every time I am trying to interview your clients," Detective Sailor said.
I sighed, crossing my arms.
"Well, you do ask inappropriate questions to my clients. If it's always gonna be that way, then maybe you don't deserve wearing that badge."

"Don't you patronize me," Detective Sailor said, in frustration.
I chuckled scoffing, "Whatever you say," I answered back before walking away once again.
During another trial, it was Mrs. Lewis turn to question Mrs. Anderson, a victim of rape.
Mrs. Anderson, can you point out to the man who raped you?" Mrs. Lewis said.
Mrs. Anderson points out to Mr. Jackson.
"He is the one who raped me, almost killed me," Mrs. Anderson said to me.
Mr. Lewis understood, shaking his head. "Mrs. Anderson, did this man force you to have sex with him even before he raped you?" I asked.
Mrs. Anderson sighed, shaking her head. "Yes, that's correct."
Mrs. Lewis swallowed and gulped as he walked up to the jury. Mrs. Lewis sighed, and continued to question Mrs. Anderson.
"Did you ever wanted to have sexual a relationships before?" Mrs. Lewis asked.
"Objection, revilance," I said.
"Sustained." Judge Mathis said.
"No further questions," Mrs. Lewis said, before walking back to his seat.
I sighed, walking up to Mr. Anderson, it was my turn to question Mrs. Anderson.
"Mrs. Anderson, you met Mr. Jackson online, correct?"
"Yes," Mrs. Anderson replied back.
"Was it Mr. Jackson's idea to make a video of you and him having sexual contact with each other?"
"Yes, that's correct," Mrs. Anderson said.
David rides the bus with Jacob. Jacob have been friends with David since the kindergarten.
David was new at Jacobs school. David and Jacob would tell each other everything.
During David and Jacob's next class, which is science, David was sitting behind Jacob. Mrs. Joanna was helping Jacob with his schoolwork, as Mrs. Sawyers, the science teacher was explaining what the assignment was.
"Will the attendant please rise," Judge Mathis said. Mr. Jackson stood up and Judge Mathis asked if the jury reached the verdict.
"We have your honor," one of the juries said.
I sighed.
"On the charge of rape, and murder in the second degree, we find the defendant, Henry Jackson, guilty." I sighed with relief, I then knew Mrs. Anderson got justice.
I turned and Mrs. Anderson smiled at me. Mrs. Anderson was thrilled, she and I shook hands. Mrs. Anderson thanked me, and I smiled.
