"In...Incizor!" Justin cried in disbelief.
"I...what just happened?" Ted asked as he looked down at the mutated rat that was now on its back.
"What sort of superhuman abilities could you possess," Justin bemoaned dramatically, "that a mere human could best my unbeatable monster?"
"I literally didn't do anything," Ted replied.
"I think I can explain." Sid interjected. "This, Incizor, seems to have rammed into your shin, and knocked itself out in the process."
"What! Impossible," Justin countered.
"I am afraid it is far from impossible," Sid corrected him. "As it has just occured."
"But...head bash was his strongest ability!" Justin cried. "It should've crushed your non monster body."
Justin paused for a second and began to sweat slightly. "But, I uh...I was only attacking another master because you refused to send out your own monsters. Really you pushed me to it. If anyone is to blame, it's you guys."
"Okay, I'm still lost," Ted claimed. "Why don't we take a step back and all get to the same page?"
"Could you maybe shove that giant rat back inside your watch or wherever it came from?" Harold said with an apprehensive gulp.
Justin gnashed his teeth together as he raised up his watch by his face again. He clicked another button on it, and then flung his arm out towards the defeated monster, and aimed the face of his watch at it. A beam of light shot out from the watch, and the monster shone bright until it dissolved back into just a cartridge again.
Then, as if pulled by some magnetic force, the cartridge flew back towards Justin. As it came hurtling towards him, he snatched it out of the air with his hand, and slid it back into his watch.

"Hmph," Justin scoffed before he smiled and struck another seemingly impossible pose. "You seem to have more moxie than I thought. Perhaps it's time that I showed you my real Trump card! Hah! Prepare yourself for..."
"Wait, hold on a minute!" Ted called out.
Justin nearly fell over himself as Ted cut him off. His face turned bright red and he yelled angrily, "Hey! Don't you know it's rude to interrupt people? I had this whole speech thing ready and everything."
Justin grumbled under his breath as he tried to regain his composure. Finally, he ran a hand back through his prominent hair and put on a pompous smile.
"Huhuhu," he chuckled as he waged a finger at Ted. "Did you really think a mere distraction would be enough to throw a member of team Shadow off of their game? Hardly. All you've done is anger me more."
He spun around and raised his hand up into the air before he lowered it and pointed directly at Ted. "You have nowhere to run now. Prepare yourself to face my ultimate monster. The great...the powerful...the absolutely..."
Ted sighed. Justin continued to describe his monster, and he really did want to try and explain things. But, with how he took it the last time, Ted figured that it would be better if he waited it out.
"...that's right!" Justin continued. "My unbeatable monster, Incizor!"
With practiced elegance, Justin thew out a familiar looking chip. As it landed, the knocked out Incizor appeared on its back just as it had been left before.
Justin practically deflated as he saw his defeated monster. Although he also seemed genuinely surprised.
"That creature already defeated itself." Sid reminded him.
"Maybe we could slow down and talk about how you got here?" Ted suggested.

"As long as you make that disgusting creature disappear again," Harold shivered.
Justin looked down in confusion. "Wait, when did I?"
As inspiration seemed to strike Justin, he raised his hand up into the air. "Ah! That's it. I got all turned around when you interrupted my fantastic speech earlier. Quite rudely I must add."
"Yeah, sorry about that," Ted said. "Oh, uh by the way my name is Ted. That's Sid, and this is Harold."
Harold sighed. "Being called by my first name. So disrespectful."
"Sorry, I didn't..." Ted started to apologize, but Harold held up his hands.
"No, no." Harold assured him. "It's fine. I lost my seat of power when I was banished from my school. Whatever happened, I have no real power anymore." There was clear sadness in his voice as he mentioned his lost authority.
Justin held himself up high, like a noble king as he used the light of his watch to bring back his defeated Incizor again. As it was re-sealed in his watch, he put his pointer finger and thumb over his chin and smirked. "Well then, Sid, Ted, and Harold. It seems you must be confused. I did say I was with team Shadow, did I not? Aren't you aware of what we do with those who oppose us?"
"Curious," Sid mumbled. "He seems completely unaware he is no longer in his home dimension."
"Home what now?" Justin asked.
"Well, you see..." Ted cleared his throat before he continued. "We uh...well, everyone here almost died. But instead of actually dying they ended up here. Well, except maybe me, but that's not important right now."
"I don't quite follow?" Justin replied.
Ted had hoped this would go a lot smoother. But, he supposed that there was no helping it.
"You just showed up in this forest didn't you?" Ted tried to explain. "Like, you didn't actually make your way here, right? You just sort of suddenly appeared here."
"I...did I?" Just asked more to himself.
"Think back." Ted continued. "Something must've happened to you. What was going on right before you just appeared here. Do you remember?"
Justin's face became vacant and his eyes seemed to stare fat into the distance. "I...I was..."

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.

The Egg Guardian
First and foremost, I must apologize as this story is currently on an indefinite hiatus. School, my main project, and writer's block have gotten in the way. I was rather unprepared when I began posting this and kind of just did it on a whim. Thus, I shall ensure I am thoroughly prepared before posting anything else, but I plan to return to this someday to conitnue it. What better retirement plan for a scumbag than to become a demon? Whether he likes it or not, that's Berrick's only choice. Heaven thinks hell is getting a little lukewarm and Berrick is just the guy to heat things up again. Follow Berrick as he works for home and hell as one of the few Egg Guardians. Author's note: Are you looking for bad writing, terrible dialogue, short chapters, and slow releases? Then you've come to the right place! This is honestly just something I'm writing for fun and figured I'd publish while I'm working on my main project, but I always appreciate constructive criticism so I can improve.
