《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》An Unexpected Turn

The scenery was almost sacred as the bright dazzling sun made the pond close by, sparkle in splendid light, and the small fishes jumped out of the water, into the air before once more descending into the water.
A beautiful garden filled with different flowers and herbs, releasing a scent that transcended whatever they had ever smelled before.
But, what truly set this apart from anything else the duo had ever seen or sensed, was the Life Energy located here.
It was Life Energy that, unlike in the past, felt as if there wasn't an end.
It felt Infinite in amount.
Limitless...
...
...
...
'Huh?!'
Moments after appearing and analyzing his surroundings, Dolion perceived Blade's movements.
Not even a couple of seconds had passed but, Blade had immediately entered a meditative position as he followed the breathing patterns of the Chaotic Body Supreme Art...
Blade himself didn't realize it, but this didn't stop his now, slightly altered body, from instinctively trying to grow stronger, especially after sensing such an insane amount of Life Energy.
Many things had changed after the awakening of the bloodline inside his body. And after three months of horrific torture, Blade's mentality changed quite a bit too.
Seeing his ally begin to draw in Life Energy, Dolion also entered a meditative position as he too began slowly drawing in the Life Energy in their surroundings.
...
...
...
If one was present in the location of Dolion and Blade, and this person was able to sense it, they would be able to discern that Blade's body was able to absorb Life Energy at a speed double compared to Dolion's!
"You're also seeing this..?"
A voice that was filled with wisdom and power reverberated in the location Blade was present. From where this voice originated, one would see the figure of a tall 6'4 man with a goatee and brown hair which was short.
Next to him, was a female of immaculate beauty who had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail.
Both these seemingly middle-aged figures who were above average in terms of attractiveness looked on in confusion toward both Blade and Dolion who had appeared in their Outer Court's Holy Ground which was protected by them.
They were shocked by the rate at which these two absorbed energy, which was many times faster than any person they had ever sensed.
But, what shocked them more was how it was ever even possible for two entities of this low power-level, to even make their appearance in this place... Without them even sensing it!!
They were soo confused that they didn't even know how to go about this...
The fact that these two weak entities could be harmed if they were to suddenly be interrupted in their cultivation, made the situation ever more delicate.
After all, there wasn't any reason to knowingly harm these individuals, who couldn't fight back no matter what they were to do to them.
But, shocking to them, the eyelids of one of these figures would tremble.
With truly unparalleled beauty, Blade opened his unnaturally black eyes, giving one a sense of mystery.
"Who're you?" He asked in a casual voice.
Even though he was not able to sense them until the man had spoken, he didn't show any fear on his face.
He didn't feel any fear whatsoever.
Even with the idea that the two in front of him were many times stronger than him, he still didn't feel a tinge of fear.
"Why? Why don't you seem alarmed... After all, we can kill you before you even realize it..!" The blonde-haired female would ask as she took a few steps toward Blade.
The distance of fewer than ten meters would be cut in half as Blade would once more casually reply.
"If you truly wanted to harm us, wouldn't you have done it already? You either find us interesting, want to know why and how we appeared in this place, or, most likely, you fancy me...
After all, I am an attractive individual..!" Blade said. The last part almost jokingly as a sly smile appeared on his face.
He trusted the system and was sure that any place it sent him, would be a safe environment.
He still believed in the system even if he despised humans after what they did to him and Dolion. The system was the only thing that he was sure would never harm him...
But, as he said that, the calm and relaxed expression on the blonde-haired woman's face disappeared and was instantly replaced by a cold and aloof outlook as her hazel-colored orbs released a thick killing intent to wash over both Dolion's and Blade's bodies!!
Though it was powerful enough to harm a regular Meridian Opening Expert at the peak of this realm, and even though Blade wasn't exactly at the peak of this realm yet, he was also not a regular creature either, so his expression remained indifferent while a calm smile was apparent on his face.

Cough!
Blade's expression froze. His aura turned cold as he turned his head toward Dolion behind him who had coughed up a mouthful of blood. Dolion shot open his big innocent-looking pair of eyes in alarm as he sensed the killing intent. His eyes were bloodshot as if a few of his nerves had burst.
Seeing this, Blade's eyes couldn't help but turn toward the woman who was the cause. Without any sort of wasted movement, Blade shot to his feet as he cocked his hand back, and clenched his fist, before sending a punch toward the female's face!
'Huh?' Because of the disparity between the strength of Blade and herself, for her, it seemed as if his fist wasn't even moving... yet, it took her brain some time to register that someone, a Meridian Opening Expert, had dared to attack her.
Bam!!
Blade's fist contacted with a powerful palm that grabbed the whole of his fist completely. Making his appearance, the middle-aged man gazed toward Blade's eyes with a mysterious light in them.
A chill immediately ran down Blade's spine when seeing that gaze as he felt uncomfortable. As if he was an immaculate beauty being stared down while naked by a perverted creep.
Gulp!
Blade wanted to escape the man's grip, but his strength was way higher than his own. Seeing his desperate attempt, the man scratched his goatee while his brown hair began floating as he said.
"Hehe, you're supposed to be in the Meridian Opening realm? I want you!" While saying that his voice was dark and creepy causing Dolion's anger to rise as he immediately flashed toward the man to claw his way through the man's skin!
Tap!
With a mere flick towards Dolion's hand, seemingly as if it had recoiled, Dolion's hand flung back from where it came from as the blonde woman appeared gazing toward him before, she turned her gaze to the man behind her and said with surprise.
"I'm guessing he's the same... Although I felt the aura of a Meridian Opening realm from his attack, his force wasn't something a Meridian Opening expert could exert!" While saying this, a smile was plastered on her face as she stumbled across something beyond interesting.
"Yes, this one is also the same." He replied while they both ignored Blade's existence. "I want him, you can take the other one..." He stated while his aura began growing to a threatening degree as he gazed at the eyes of the blonde woman.
"Hehe, Jin, don't worry, my little disciple would be much stronger than yours..." The blonde woman replied while gazing at Dolion who was standing a few meters away while clutching his right hand which was flicked away by the blonde.
"Woman!! I, Jin have never faced defeat at the hands of a woman!!" Jin, with great anger, shouted toward her as he then shifted his attention to Blade and shouted once more as boulders flew out his mouth... "You!! You will become my disciple and defeat that old hag's disciple!!!"
BAM!!
Suddenly, a fist contacted his face as Blade gazed in shock at Jin's comical look as he was sent flying into a nearby tree. The blonde woman then shouted... "How dare you call me an old hag!!"
Slightly surprised that the two were seemingly fighting with one another, Blade immediately gazed toward Dolion who also nodded as they both turned their backs to the two middle-aged figures.
WAA!
Their figures turned blurred as they...
They began sprinting with all their might away from the two freaks fighting each other!
"Huh?"
The two fighting individuals suddenly paused their actions as they realized that their "disciples" suddenly began running away from them.
"Did we scare the poor fellows?" Aurel, the blonde woman uttered. Hearing this, Jin then berated in a condensing tone. "You see, this is all your fault. You always ruin everything So inelegant, punching someone out of nowhere!"
Tsk!
"Don't you dare try to berate me? If you didn't call me an old hag, this would never have happened." And while she did have a point, Jin on the other hand simply ignored her with an innocent expression on his face as he disappeared from his figure while instantly reappearing in front of the duo!
"Where do you think you're going?" Jin said with a sadistic smile on his face.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
